    Warm up the metal spoons first before hammering them 👍

    Lovely. This oil is a good sealer, but more for inside use. For outside is better teak oil

    I think if you hammer onto an anvil or similar hard metal flat surface it would be easier and give a deeper indentation?

    • @WhitneyBaldwin
      @WhitneyBaldwin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably!!! That makes the most sense. Will try that next time

    I think you need to use a metal block to hammer on. Then, go over the letters with a sharpie and wipe off so it's just left in the indentations.

      That sounds like the right way to do this! Lol will try again, thank you 🙏🏻

    Lol! Look at the bright side, you didn't have to find music for the video.

    You are stamping stainless steel.... It's a lot harder compare to aluminium, brass or copper. What you need is a steel block like a 4x4x1/2 inch from amazon and a 32 to 48 oz ball pein hammer. What you use is probably a 8 to 16 oz hammer... It's really too light and you are wasting lot of the striking energy in the brick. You would not get a good result. The steel block or anvil is mandatory for a good transfert of energy.
    In that case, for stainless steel, I would recommend a 48 oz for a woman of average strength. Let the weight of the hammer work for you. Each blow will transfer a lot more energy. You should be able to stamp each letter in one blow. It would also simplify the flattening of the spoon.
