Great video as always Brandon, I'm signed up to do this years Great South run. (And yes it's in Portsmouth) It'll be my 4th year in a row, and it's a lovely well organised event, and the last 2miles is all on the coast. Mile 5 goes through the Naval base which is dead flat with no wind. There's even live race tracking on the official Great run app, so will make it easier for you should you choose to cover this year's race on October 20th 2024.
You mentioned that Chris and Kennenisa battled each other for first place in the big half in 2016. It was March 2020. The first ever one was in March 2018
    Hope that all helps

Thompson pushed Bekele at the 2020 Big Half. It couldn’t have been 2016 because the Big Half didn’t exist until 2018.

The runner just didn’t like the other runner hanging right behind him it would be kind of rude to sit behind someone that doesn’t want you there

I will ask you to please try and describe an exciting or great sporting achievement with words other than ‘insane’. Have you ever seen a clinically insane person..?? This has no relevance to athletics achievements..!! We have better attention spans than that and these words that you are using are juvenile and awful. It makes me cringe to see someone that cannot think of alternative and more intelligent, interesting and respectful words. We are not all Americans who take English words and abuse then and copy all the common and inaccurate words from the internet!! Surely you learn’t other words in your so called high education system!!

Nice, even though it would be better tell the pace in min/km, not in min/mile...

Having been a runner in high school and college, in any distance beyond one mile, my teammates and I were concerned with our mile splits. The 5K and 10K times were simply the end results. There are too many km splits for them to be of any value in races.
