I think it's because of their limited song list on radio. I recall when classic rock really became popular in the 80's and beyond, and even the best stations only played We're An American Band, Some Kind of Wonderful, and I'm Your Captain. Over and over. So much has never been heard - that is, until streaming music came to be and many have become aware of what was missed. LOTS of B-side songs that make this band special to GFR fans.

I grew up just a couple miles from Mark's family home and went to school with Mark's younger brother Eric. One time when I was at their family home for a visit Mark happened to be there visiting his family - I remember Terry Knight the manager of Grand Funk Railroad came into the house with a briefcase - I suppose it was legal documents. I'll never forget that. Growing up in the Flint area Grand Funk Railroad helped me to make the connection with Soul, R&B, Rock & Roll as a young teenager. Michigan brewed some really fine musical talent during the 60s and early 70s. Thank you for doing this review and reaction.

Raymond, I was on vacation with my mom & dad we were in Atlanta & we went to a Braves game that night, we heard a crowd roarin' in the distance, didn't know why at the time. Some years later I bought the live album & put 2& 2 together, it was GFR tearin' the place up! By the way I was 11 at the time, also I am from Palestine Texas, lived here all my life. God bless Grand Funk Railroad!
