We found the value of L by assuming that E+L generates a carry. But in answer, E+L doesn't generate a carry and neither do we add the carry in S+L which is our basic assumption. Please explain why

guys i understood it. we need to make an assumption(like there is a carry), and then try all combinations. if its coming wrong, change the assumption to something else(like there is not a carry, or carry somewhere else), and again put the different combinations. then only final answer achieved. sir just made video small by choosing the correct numbers, he didnt go through the entire process.

If you go ahead and take the value of B=6 and solve further, the value of M calculates to 5 (A+A+carry=M) which isn't allowed as L=5 already, so take B=7
