I'm a crybaby. My heart is so broken that he is gone. A great man indeed. Grateful he's no longer suffering. I love our troops so much. So thankful for every soldier.
Your emotions are honest & raw, no apologies necessary. It would be my wish that many more Americans could place such an emotional value on our freedom, and the price that has been paid in order for them to enjoy those freedoms.
No apologies necessary young lady. It's touching that you obvious are proud of your grandfather which you should be. And it's obvious that Toby's songs touch you because you are a compassionate and caring person. All the best.
Toby could write these because he cared so much for the military and their families. What a special man he was. We will always keep him in our hearts forever ❤
As an old divorced fourth generation disabled vet with TBI and PTSD, was homeless about 3 years, existing under a VA program for homeless vets where i spend most of the time alone fighting the battle within. I'm not saying this for pity or anything in that nature. I remember what my dad ( a WW2 wounded vet ) told me before I went in. He said, no matter what happens when you are in, you will need to accept the outcome of those actions as your steps and your outcome. Don't expect the government to be there for you. Look at the no help your two brothers got ( nam vets ). You do this not for the government, president or party. You volunteer "give" all you have for the time you serve for the constitution and the people. You don't put strings on gifts, so don't look for others to bear the responsibility of your actions. He was right. It was my choice, my steps , my actions and my outcome. It is what it is. Salute to my brother and sister veterans. May you be finding peace with the battle within.
Thank you soldier! God bless you for your sacrifice and for giving everything! You are our rarest patriot! I will pray for you nightly! Eternal gratitude to you and all our military!
Miss Liberty, you should never apologize for allowing yourself to feel those emotions, EVER! There is no time limit on grief. Honesty is why we are all here, it’s kinda like a marriage… for better or worse, we are here with you and for you. Thank you for another amazing reaction. If you have some time you should check out Chris Stapleton doing the national Anthem at the Super Bowl….. it’s sooo good!!! 🫶🫶🫶🫶
Retired Air Force. My comrades died, but they live through me and my stories of them. Your Grand dad is watching you and lives through you and saying his name. As long as someone can say their name, they never die. It takes time, but it will come when the stories and antics bring laughs and chuckles instead of tears. I'm giving you a big bear hug and hope your tears of joy start taking over.
As a former Army attack helicopter pilot with combat experience, thank you for your reaction and emotions. Many people do not understand…you obviously do! Do not ever apologize for your tears…
This song speaks to me so much. My father served 22 years in the Navy. Growing up I saw not only the sacrifices he made but that the rest of my family made. The missed holidays, birthdays, and other family events. He was still in when I myself joined the Army Reserves. The ship he was stationed on was doing overhauls when I got the call up to be deployed as part of Desert Shield in November 1990. I wasn't able to see him before I shipped off for Saudi Arabia. I left in the morning and his ship returned home that afternoon. It wasn't until my unit returned home in May 1991 that I was finally able to see him. Sadly my father passed away in 2009. Every time I hear this song it reminds me of him.
I am the 3rd generation of 4 who served. My Grandfather lost his lung to mustard gas in WWI. My dallld worked on Mustangs and PBYs during WWII. I was lucky, I served during the Cold War and never saw combat in the USAF. When I got out I worked for Navy Intel for 25ish years. My most impressed action I saw was my oldest joining the army after hearing all mine and my Dad's service stories. So he was the 4th generation.
I miss my Grandfather too liberty belle. My Grandfather served in the navy and Cuban Missile Crisis and the Cold War and he was an E3 Sargent on different destroyers manning the big guns. Also he was a Coal miner too.
My paternal grandfather lied about his age to enlist early for WW1. He made it through the war, but had been badly gassed at the Somme and did not live to see any of his grandkids. His example led me to to her majesties naval reserve (which was sadly cut short by getting RIFed) and to this day, I do not feel properly dressed on November 11th without a red poppy in my lapel. It is very clear you honor your grandfather as much as I honor mine. "At the going down of the sun, and in the morning... We will remember them."
This song always makes me think of my sister (2 tours in the middle east) and the most gangster thing i ever heard. We were watching an old movie that took place during war and her daughter asked her what she would be doing. "Picking up an M16"
Toby Keith was a real Patriot. A true son of America. His music with comedy will be much missed. Many of my Brothers and sister Jews have fought and layed down their lives for this Nation. For this I am greatful and I say Shalom Alecheim.
I was in the Army my brother any three uncles was too. I have one uncle that was in the Navy and a best friend too. Sadley my brother and i are the only two still here.
Never be sorry about crying for those you love. He served so you could have the life you have now. Toby is right, we don't do it to get something, we do it because it needs done.
I served in the 101st Airborne in Iraq and Afghanistan and i still cry listening to this song. Hits hard every time I hear it. RIP BROTHER ~GOD SAVE THE REPUBLIC ~
Your Grandfather was a great man! He gave his only life for his country. Be proud of him! You obviously loved him so much and dont be sorry for crying! He did a great thing a lot of people couldn't do. God bless him and the service he did. Thank you for being vulnerable and being able to express your feelings especially on the internet. You are great!
War was hell for me, and the men and women I served with, but to this day, the most agonizing part was walking away from my wife and daughter to go on deployment.
My grandpa was captured in the Battle of the Bulge. My cousin wrote a book about it called Hell Frozen Over. What these amazing people went through is unbelievable.
Bless your heart. I'm so sorry you had a grandfather who sacrificed for our country. This song is hard to hear anyway, especially now that we've lost Toby Keith. I subscribed to your posts because of your honest and raw review of this. I'm praying for the. 🙏
God bless you for having the courage to listen to songs that are so heartfelt, same as you, by everyone that has family and friends who've served. Toby is a legend for his songwriting that is able to speak directly to the common American man.
God bless you, your family, and every American soldiers family. We thank them for their services. Your tears are genuine and they have earned them. I'm new to your channel and only recently subscribed, don't know if you've already reacted to wrong side of heaven by 5 finger death punch but it's definitely worth your time and, well you may wanna bring some tissues, might cause those to happen again. I like the little I've seen so far, well done. I wish you well liberty.
I feel the same way about my grandpa. He fought in WW2, lost a leg. Enlisted again during the Korean war, he couldn't fight anymore (he had been a paratrooper) so he worked logistics. Making things got to where they needed to be. I loved him so much! And I still miss him every day.
Oh my gosh.. you have me wanting to give a huge hug right now.. We all have family members, I think, that have served our country and we are so proud of all our soldiers. They sacrifice everyday for us and some have made the biggest sacrifice.. Respect and love for all of our veterans and those now serving.
Certain songs just open up our eyes and we see things in a little bit of a different way and we never did before and there's absolutely nothing wrong with remembering the people we lost because when we remember him didn't really lose them cuz they're still deep down in our heart
Thank you so much for reacting to this as we suggested It wasn't that I or we wanted to see you cry again, but I knew it would hit you harder than Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue because it's more personal on a family level. I was deployed 8 months before this song was released in November of 2003 and when my 10 year old son ran up and held on to me while i was standing in Formation about to Fall Out to board the bus. I almost lost it. The shots of the soldier looking back at his family. I have a picture my dad took of me doing the same thing right before getting on the bus. It could have been the last glance we ever had of eachother, but thank God i made it home. I had an old skeleton key that I found somethere a few months before leaving, that I just got the idea of giving it to my son the night before i left and i had a talk alone with him and, I told him to keep that old key and, each day hold it in his prayer hands and say a little prayer that Daddy will come home safe and I told him that I will. It was the most emotional feeling I ever had with him as we both welled up at the same time and just hugged eachother, both crying. He promised that he will. and I told him to believe it when he prays and God will take care of me and I will be back. After I came home 14 months later. I ask him the next day if he still had the key, and did he say his prayers for me. He said, "I did Daddy, but I lost the key but still said the prayers, but forgot to some nights because I fell asleep before I got to.". I told him well what praying he did worked because I came home like I promised. My dad went to war in his early twenties in Korea 11 years before I was born. So, I didn't get to see him leave for war. My son did get to see his dad leave because I was in my early forties at the time but had already served 23 years in service during two earlier war time operations.
I really enjoyed your reactions to your Toby Keith video, an American Soldier. I served in the Us Army as a Chaplain. I retired as a Lieutenant Colonel, but the rank was secondary to the ministry I was privileged to provide for our women and men in uniform. It was never easy being deployed and missing my wife, son and daughter. This video captures those emotions very well. God bless you for the deep appreciation you show. I see the messages on your screen and how you proudly share your family connection to those who serve. I know your Pap is proud of you. Blessings. Bill in Daytona Florida.
Best reaction ever. I was I guy that went places I never went to do things I never did, because you are worth it. Tobi was a great patriot, went out of his way for the troop and vets. A real class act. God bless you. Peace.
Had a grandfather in the RCFC and one grandfather in the USN during WWI, father was drafted right after WWII and served in Japan, an uncle that was drafted between WWII and Korea, two cousins that served, one retired from the USAF, I served for 39 years, one son served in the Army for 7 years, and grandson #1 is entering ROTC next fall. Yeah, this song gets to me. Never apologize for an honest reaction to a truly great song.
Thank you for your grandfathers service ❤ My great-grandfather and his brother both served military duty during WW2 My great-grandfather was a fighter pilot in different air raid squadrons in the RAF both as a pilot and an engine mechanic. His brother/my great-granduncle was a ship captain in the Cunard liners and was drafted in to transport injured, dead and new soldiers back home and out to the frontlines. His ship was torpedoed on the 7th trip to the front lines but luckily he managed to get everyone and himself off the ship before it went down. After the war my great-grandfather and his brother were highly disdinguised/decorated by king george/the father of The late Queen Elizabeth the 2nd. I never knew my great-grandfather or his brother because they both passed away some years before i was born My grandmother when she was alive (god rest her soul🕯❤🕊) told me many heroic storys about them and to me they will always be my heroes and rolemodels. Even thou i never knew or met them i still feel tears of love for them😢❤ RIP GREAT-GRANDFATHER ROBERT AND GREAT-GRANDUNCLE JONATHAN 😭🕊🕯❤ (SEMPER FI ORAH) YOU ARE MY HEROES, LOVE YOU BOTH FOREVER😭❤
It's a tough life but one of true American PRIDE (not talking "rainbows" here.). My husband joined the US Navy 2 years after we were married. It's a tough life--moving every 3-4 years, 6-7 month deployments plus 2 week--a month "workups" in between. My husband didn't see his first born (son) until he was almost 5 months old. I was alone, 3,000 miles away from family when he was born. Back then we had to depend on the mail to hear from them--no phone calls, no "Skyping". He learned of the birth of our first child by telegram. Spent many, many hours at the dock watching until his ship was out of sight, or his plane not even a dot anymore if his ship was in Norfolk. And yes, bills we couldn't pay. He retired after 20 years, and unfortunately he passed away suddenly 2 years ago (he was only 69 and healthy). But he was a PROUD Sailor, and I was proud to be his wife. Bless you for your reaction. If you haven't lived it you don't understand....
You have a very good heart and you love your country and your family. You remind me of one of my Grandkids, I wish I could put more arms around you and give you a big old hug
Listening to this on Saturday very early morning of Memorial Day weekend. Thanks so much for posting this Belle! I served in Vietnam in 1967-68 with B company 2nd of the fifth, First Air Cavalry Division air mobile. I was an infantry soldier that saw way too much action. Our Company was ambushed and we lost half of our men near Dong Ha just South of the DMZ. It was on May 12th 1968, which was unfortunately Mother’s Day. What a horrible day to lose so many soldiers. So sad for the mothers of these Honorable Soldiers. Rest in Peace my Brothers!
Such a beautifully done song with the taps at the end! Man I am not doing good with his death. He was such a good guy and loved his family, God and country. So many great songs. RIP Toby and God bless your family
2nd Toby Keith reaction of yours I've watched (& commented on) today. U must hv bn really close to your Grand Dad. I was close w/my Grandfather also. He didn't serve in WW2. He had a draft deferment cuz he made the Lenses for the Norton Bomb sights that went in the B17s (& maybe some other Bombers). He didn't hv a HS diploma but became an adjunct professor at a local college teaching people how to fabricate the lenses. Everyone had a job to do. What matters is we're both lucky enough to hv had awesome grandfathers. :)
I remember getting the call that my Fighter Wing was being Deployed to Operation Desert Shield/Storm my oldest was 2 years old. 3 years later I was assigned to South Korea I left when my youngest was 7 Days old. In my 20 years of service I was separated from my family quite a few times. The main thing we think of is that our family back home is Safe and doing ok.
Please don't ever apologize for having such strong emotions. I wish I had them but I am so numb inside anymore that I hardly feel anything anymore and I truly wish I could get that back. Another great reaction. I hope you have a blessed day.
I lost husband in Iraq in 2009 on his 3rd tour , he was a boots to the ground never quit marine he told our son before every deployed I’ll fight over there you fight for us here I’m counting on you little man , then they would salute eachother . Right at the end as the plane flies away, you can see the pride and fear on his wife's face.
God Bless Toby Keith--RIP brother...
Hugs ufff thanks for making me cry
RIP Toby Keith, Great American 🇺🇸 and a Country Legend 💕✌️❤️🎶

Thank you for your grandfathers service ❤
My great-grandfather and his brother both served military duty during WW2
My great-grandfather was a fighter pilot in different air raid squadrons in the RAF both as a pilot and an engine mechanic.
I never knew my great-grandfather or his brother because they both passed away some years before i was born
My grandmother when she was alive (god rest her soul🕯❤🕊) told me many heroic storys about them and to me they will always be my heroes and rolemodels.
Even thou i never knew or met them i still feel tears of love for them😢❤
RIP GREAT-GRANDFATHER ROBERT AND GREAT-GRANDUNCLE JONATHAN 😭🕊🕯❤ (SEMPER FI ORAH) YOU ARE MY HEROES, LOVE YOU BOTH FOREVER😭❤

From an old navy vet 72-79 God bless you, grandpa is proud
RIP Cowboy. So much great music to discover.
Thank you for your reaction.
Great song, to bad America despises and disposes of her veterans.
Cry tears of pride and respect
The one thing stronger than a soldier is his family.
Ty for watching this one. God bless ur pappaw. I did 8 yrs army myself n this one hits me too
I remember getting the call that my Fighter Wing was being Deployed to Operation Desert Shield/Storm my oldest was 2 years old. 3 years later I was assigned to South Korea I left when my youngest was 7 Days old. In my 20 years of service I was separated from my family quite a few times. The main thing we think of is that our family back home is Safe and doing ok.
I’m crying with you! ❤❤❤❤ Your reaction is so pure! Love you lady! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

This song has been in my head all day long.
Please don't ever apologize for having such strong emotions. I wish I had them but I am so numb inside anymore that I hardly feel anything anymore and I truly wish I could get that back. Another great reaction. I hope you have a blessed day.
I hope you get it back too.
