This device is much much more than just a gizmo for streamers, it has amazing versatility. It is really in its function just a macro key pad -- there are many of them. The novelty (and its most usefulness) lies in the LCD lit buttons and the incredibly great software.
I ordered the XL and arrived next day - loving it - so much better than the original stream deck which has the unstable base! I now have a key set for each of my fav TH-cam channels!
we also use streamdecks in professional AV tech. controlling video switchers or media servers. the new XL is really helpful here too! nice video as always!

This idea could be a perfect ipad app working with mac os.. It would be much cheaper and an additional way to utilize the ipad. Carrying along the ipad instead of a keypad also makes more sense (and most of us are carrying our ipads along in our laptop bags already) .. I don’t know, is there such an app already?

I'm using this for TH-cam, Excel, Pages, iMovie, my website, email accounts, and model railroading programs. I only wish I got this thing sooner.
Could you please review or test TouchPortal. It's a cheap one payment app that does everything (or close to everything) that Stream Deck does. It has a free version and you can use it in any device. You will find it very usefull
It looks cool but looks kind of gimmicky. I wish it was wireless.. And do I really need another device on my desk.. Being a graphic artist my desk is already messy I think I’ll pass on this one. Cool video though! 👍
Hmmmm. I’ve not heard of Stream Deck until now. I checked out the website and then watched this video...but I’m still not sure what it is. It appears it’s nothing more than hockeys where you select the button on the Stream Deck and that app opens on your computer. Kinda like clicking the icon on the dock? If so, not sure it’s very useful. Maybe I’m completely missing something.
Please beware. For some reasons display on this Stream Deck XL has really low contrast and bad colors (especially shades of red and orage, actually there is no red or orange on this Stream Deck XL) compared to older Stream Deck. I had to return it and ask for my money back, because not going to pay more for worse quality.

Or something similar to the Razer Tartarus V2 with customizable LED keys. This way, when I bind a keyboard key to it I know which one I bound.
