Glad I found this. I haven't upgraded my memory card since almost maybe 4 years ago? I'm going from a 32 -64. About to start and get me some sweet tea, lol. Thanks.
Rarely do you find a game related video on TH-cam that does what it says, and in such a clear, easily understood manner, with a touch of humor to boot. Excellent work!
Currently transferring 28GB of data onto my PC to restore onto a 64GB card.. it's taking forever!! I think I've had about 8 cuppa teas since I started lol
Haha! I said it could take a while !
UsednReviewed can this work for transferring save data
SuperLeo all data, games and saved progress
thanks i was wondering cause i finished sao and didn't want to restart it
+Joe Bloggs Thanks, needed to know that. Im gonna upgrade from 14GB to something higher.
Great video. Loved the humor. Thanks for the information.
If you have two cards that you want to restore to a single card:
The backup/restore option makes a snapshot image of a single memory card. You cannot restore more than one card because the second restore action will overwrite the first. I never use that feature because it is so inflexible.
Instead use the Vita>PC and PC>Vita copy options.
Copy everything over to Content Manager from one card, then copy everything else over from the other card..
Then you can select it all and copy all back onto a single card using the PC>Vita copy option. -MetalZoic
dont really get it. so basically if i have a 8 gb and a 64 gb. and im using the 8gb in the moment. i just copy all my data to the pc? and than i dont need to copy my 64gb to my vita because i havnt used it right? Can you explain a bit further thank you! Quite confused
Thanks m8, had a couple of cold ones during the wait, more my cup of tea if u know what i mean.
My man
Thanks for the tutorial bro, I'm upgrading to a 16 gig (14 gig) in a couple of days and now I know what I need to do.
I'm finally going to be free from the 4 gig!
I imagined it would be as simple as this but wanted confirmation just incase. Thankyou very much! Highly appreciated and the humour was on point.
im now upgrading from an 8GB to 32GB!
Pretty sweet and great video! :D
This was great, i liked the satiric humour on the vita taking its sweet time.Well done.
Going from 16GB to 64GB, getting dat real shit, along with a vita slim!
Thanks so mutch!
I'm about to be the proud owner of a Vita and I wanted to know if I could transfer data. Now that I know it's possible. It's a load of stress off my back. Plus the video was also amusing as well as being helpful. Thanks again for the info.
Haha great video. Quick and to the point. My 64gb card is on the way so I’m sure I’ll need many cups of tea
Thank you! Awesome Video.
So much better than the way that sony playstation was trying to have me do it (downloading and using a content manager assistant - don't ask, it was a confusing mess of a method). You definitely have my support!
Thanks for this guide. I just bought a nice barely used vita from a good chap on ebay. But the memory cards I ordered got lost in the mail. Long story short, I have a used one coming in today, but a nice BRAND NEW one I want to use that comes in next week. But I can't wait to play any more. So gonna start playing with the used one today then transfer to a nice fresh brand new one next week. Thanks again!
Thank you so much... I needed to update a game which uses up a lot of space but I didn't have enough and I was panickingXD
haha loved the kettle bit, even funnier the second time :P
good thing you told i should make a cup of tea and put my feat up really helps.
Depends on size of card and the amount of data. Going from a full 8gb card to a 16gb card did take some time although obviously it would vary. Cheers for watching and keep up with the good work on your channel ;)
Well I guess it isn't really that complicated, but it takes forever. Why does everything they make have to be proprietary...
To make maximum wonga.
Hacks and regular microsd adapters exist... They cost about one twelfth of the price per gig and go up to 256...
Wow, that's a long process. Thank you for the video instructions.
Yes - or delete some data. You can always re-download any games etc from the PS Store at any time, so if you got bored with a game you could delete it but always have access to download again. Personally 8gb is the minimum size I would recommend.
Thanks. Just bought a 64gb from gs on flash sale, very excited. Upgrading from 16
Nice 👍
@@UsedNReviewed olá sou brasileiro e tive uma dúvida , e se for desbloqueado o PS VITA vai funcionar do mesmo jeito ?
Thanks man :D i got the new Killzone mercenary game and its So huge, that it required a 4gb install and 1.2 gb update... so yeah you helped me back up my stuffs
Yes Angry Birds was available as a PS Mini for a while. It's now been pulled from the store (I'm guessing because of the Angry Birds trilogy announced for PS3). Who knows, they may be working on a Vita specific version?
Hi - Yes this is the correct way to make sure you keep all of your save data. You don't need to add a new account or anything. Just follow the steps and you'll be able to back up your data and transfer it to a bigger card without losing anything.
Really informative and funny. Great vid!
Thanx soooooo Much swapped my 4gb 4 a 16 ur a lifesaver keep up these vids :D
Thank you! I probably couldn't have done it without your tutorial.
Cheers for the video fella, just got me a 32gig so this was proper handy! Liked and subscribed! Keep up the good work :)

OMG I need this video as I am planning to upgrade my memory card from the pathetic 4GB to the 32GB
this is really helpful man thank you and keep up the good work and maybe do some ps vita videos in the future.
That was a great help. Thanks!
I'm planning to use a 64 GB on my Vita transferring from the 14 GB memory chip. This video will definitely help me out with the transfer. But I'm going to do it on a weekend. That way, just to make sure it doesn't take too long.
Thanks for this, I’m changing from my 8 gb to a 16, and had no idea how to do it
No problem ! I was in the same boat originally. Thanks for watching !
I'm gonna change from 4 to 16 gig.
ahh, I switched a new one I bought thinking they were like the old PS1 and PS2 cards. Now I lost data on both. Good video
Will it also work with backed-up home-brewed cards?
I also upgraded from 4gb to 16gb soo excited. Never been excited to get a memory card until now. haha.
Worked perfectly. Cheers mate.
Great video! I think you might want to get a pop filter for your mic for later videos, though.
This was so helpful, tghank you, and I do think I will be drinking a cuppa tea while waiting.
Thanks man, this was a really helpful video.
Thanks dude, worked out great!
You made it so easy to understand. Thank you so much! Instant Subscribe.
It's 2022 and this helped me out. Upgrading from a 32gig to 64gig! :)
Same but where did you get your memory card??
@@SpikeTheWolf trry searching for the cards on local shopping and see if anybody is selling them or you can search for store that buy old game consoles usulaly they have them.

no probs. Thanks for watching !
it worked!! ty so much my friend you really helped with your video
Good video! Very well explained!
I watched this just to make sure I didn't screw anything up. Thanks. We have the same coffee cup, by the way.Have you ever been to NYC? Because I haven't. But at least I have the cup. Anyway, good explanation. I wonder if there is any significant difference in transfer speeds between a PC or and a PS3?
Thank you!!! Very useful information.
THANK YOU SOO MUCH IT REALLY HELPED NOW I CAN DOWNLOAD MORE GAMES
thanks for this vid its real helpful as im doing the same upgrade as you today, nice shoes too :D
thank you so much for this vid man! it was really helpful!
No probs! Yes I have been to NYC a few times..very lucky!
Worked like a charm, thanks!
No problem!! Thanks for watching
Hi. Yes - if you follow the video, all data including games saves are backed up onto the PC. When you swap cards and restore, all the games saves will be copied back onto the new card.
Thanks man for this video !!!
Another thing, if you are planning on selling your old memory card on eBay, Amazon, etc, you should format it before inserting the new one.
Thanks and good work with the 32g...always need the room on the Vita.
haha luved the kettle part to funny and thank u this was very helpful!! =]
Thanks man simple vid to follow !!
Thank you for making this video
Your the best guy i changed from 4gb 2 16 gb and i didnt lose no memory u r a geneus
Thanks! I'm currently upgrading from a 4GB to my recently bought 16GB card.
Thank you, this video was really help.
Yes. You can upgrade your memory card and transfer data onto new card without losing anything
Huge help man! thank you so much
i used your method and it works! i was curious since ps vita has no internal memory, so where did the backup saved at? did it saved on my pc and then move it to my psvita new card?
Thanx mate, I'm going to put the Kettle on 😉
perfect - this is exactly what i needed to know thanks dude (advice taken on the cuppa x2)
Nice one mate, cheers!
Thank you that helps alot I love the video "make a cup of tea" that made me laugh
Thanks, I’m thinking about changing my memory card from 8gb to 32gb and I didn’t wanna lose my persona 4 and persona 4 dancing data :)
Yeah, I get that. My charger stopped working and I ordered a new Oled in. If the new charger works, I'll be in the clear, but if not, I don't know if the files on my memory card could become inaccessible when I swap it to the new console, then put it back in mine. I have 200+ hours on P4G and I just cleared the 4th Palace. (I grind to an excessive extent) If I lose my save file, I don't know that I could work my way through the game again, so here's hoping the new cable works.
@@johngreen8344 couldn't you just cloud save??
Hey man, great vid, just wondering...
1) the clipping at 1:43, that was just you inputting your PSN details yeah?
2) After you boot up the 16gb card but before the restore, it still has all your icons etc. are they stored on the vitas internal memory or something? or can you explain this?
3) This backup covers entire games as well? There's no need to redownload anything?
Thanks,that helped a lot :)
great video fella, thanks
Very very well done. Big help thanks.
Good vid. For total newbies, at 1:56 you could have also explained how those strange numbers correspond to a date (the first 4 digits are the year etc.).
I found this process much faster to back up my data to the PS3. It would of took 2 hours through my laptop, compared to 15 minutes with my PS3.
Hi, it's not a dumb question. If you have games, movies, music etc on your Vita, it is stored on the memory card. So the bigger the memory card the more content you can store.
Thank you so much, this really helped me. I just upgraded from an 8gb to a 64gb :D
Liked and Favorited thanks for the help man I cant wait to try out my 32 gb memory card!! (even though it was kind of a ripoff)
Thx now i can get new games :D
Funny and useful video, thank you
this helped thanks alot !
Thanks man this really helped out I just swapped a 4gb card for a 32gb card.
same! :)
Same Bruh
Thank u very much very useful.
thx for the guide!
Thanks for the vid man. Playstation support is worthless. They'll give you instructions on how to do just about anything, except for a basic memory card to memory card data transfer. I probably would have messed something up if I didn't watch your video first. Thanks again!!
Great video!
great video, question! I have a used 32gb coming today, if I do your process should I format the 32gb first? or when I do the restore will it be doing that automatically previous to transferring my data? thanks
that moment when u notice that the battery last long as the same after 50 minutes
thank you for the video!
Thanks for this important video!!!
I'm gonna do the same!!!
