Little story:
I have to do a weekly injection, it’s my medication & I really need it, but it’s really scary to do alone. Always have the worst time with it. Panic attacks, sticking myself in several places, you name it.
I turned on this video to keep me calm & this was the easiest shot I’ve ever given myself. Didn’t panic, and did it in one try!

I just came back to say that after I watched this when it was uploaded, YT recommended me a bunch more colour analysis videos and I discovered that my colours are actually emerald rather than khaki and eggplant rather than brighter purple and I am soooooo much happier with my clothes now. Thanks Maria, Darryl and the surprisingly helpful quirk of the algorithm 👍🏻

Darryl appreciation thread right here. For one thing you have to know people are here for Maria, yet as the subject of the video he been positioned center stage so naturally viewer eyes will be resting on him. One can imagine nobody's here to see him goofing/jiving/flirting with the wife even though he could just be himself with his dearest. But out of respect for the viewers and Maria's work he put on a neutral expression and remain still like a mannequin as to not steal the focus away from main attraction anymore than he has to.

One suggestion for Maria if she hasn't tried it before is maybe to face Darryl or have him look slightly offset to the camera to avoid the "stare into your soul" kind of goofiness. I always thought colour analysis was bullshit and everyone just had a personal taste and would therefore think differently about every colour but I really agree with 95% of your analysis and can actually see a difference! This happened with your previous colour analysis videos also, I’m amazed.
Im a bit of both opinions lol. I think the suggestive speaking during colour analysis tends to make you biased as you watch her (or anyone doing colour analysis). Factor in the subjectivity of who thinks what colour looks good on who. It even depends on the look you go for too. A colour may not be the most suitable for your face, but you need that specific shade to look *for example* more serious in an interview. Its really quite intricate
No bullshit at all. I know it looking at myself, and when people compliment me. They compliment me when I have rich, contrastive colours on myself, not when I have earthy mellow ones. And I’m a winter. Very light skin, cool undertones, black eyebrows and eyelashes and rather dark hair.
Back in the 1980s, getting one's colours done was a big thing. I still refer to those colour swatches. Definitely an autumn.
I love this level of soft spoken. It's just a natural sound.
Really great to have a good woman like this who cares enough about you to want to help you with your colours. I'm colourblind so I don't really see why one shade does or doesn't match skin tones
