As an aging woman, I know there is enormous pressure to get Botox or surgeries, and some people find enormous relief and comfort from those procedures. But, for me, my wrinkles are like a map of all my experiences. Laugh lines from all the evenings I spent with friends and strangers, telling stories. Brow creases from concentrating on so many excellent books. Frown lines from all the tears spilled for all those I've loved and lost and found again. When I see those lines on others' faces, I don't think they're ugly, I think they're beautiful because I get the privilege of seeing someone who has lived a life full of what it means to be a human being. I see someone who isn't afraid to show that they have suffered, and experienced great joy. Someone who has taken the cards they've been dealt and done the best they could. I really appreciate that Maria addresses the importance of loving oneself beyond our bodies and faces. My blessing to you, no matter who you are or where you are in the world, is: May you enjoy something remarkable about this imperfect life today and dwell on what is lovely and kind.
Thank you, I’m 47 and I definitely see more lines as time passes. But I think of my mom, who sadly passed away when she was only 55… and I realize what a gift aging truly is. Beautiful words; thank you. 💜💚💕💫

@@YvieT81 I watched an hour long TH-cam video where Musk is stood in front of a SpaceX rocket being interviewed by an aerospace engineering TH-camr and he is (on the fly) discussing all the rocket's components and systems in great detail with how they all work, why they made certain choices, how all the systems function together etc. Then there are the significant portion of people who will say something like "Ugh Musk is just a big, mean dum dum who wants people to be able to say hurty words" because it's easy and gets cheap clout from other people who need things sorting into categories like good/bad and anything beyond that would require, you know, consideration, nuance and thought.
She’s actually been talking about doing for a while because so many people have suggested it. Seems like something she’s definitely interested in so maybe we’ll get a video like that soon.
I would love a video with this book without the color analysis. Just tapping, tracing, talking about the different facial features of these amazing pictures. Ahhhh so relaxing. Please make this, Maria! 🙏🏽

to be clear, meryl has absolutely gotten botox before and might even still get it every so often when she isn't acting. it isn't magic but it can slow the formation of deep lines and wrinkles. she looks amazing, as does maria, and neither needs botox to be sure but i also fully support anyone who gets it!

Surprised by the fear of aging.. my mom always says that you should never be sad to age, but rather be (extremely) grateful that we get to age! Thinking about people who don’t get to do that will humble you towards grey hair or wrinkles.. it’s an extremely small “issue” that we shouldn’t spend a lot of energy on ❤️
Yes to this! My mum says the same thing and it means a lot because she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer over 20 years ago and she’s still living a good life ☺️✨ We should be grateful x

It has been the worst weeks in my life, with my father in a hospital 1000 kms away from my house, traveling here and there trying to support him and taking care of my children. Doctors are shocked because he is near to his death one day but he is awake and talking the day after, so this is like a roller coaster 🤦🏻♀️😅 I have never been so nervous, tired, sad, hopefull, hopeless and more at the same time, and it's exhausting. You and a few other ASMR artists are the ones helping me to feel a bit relaxed, and if I can sleep 3 or 4 hours each night is because of you. Thank you so much, Maria. I have come back to this video almost every night since it was posted and it never fails to make me relaxed, sleepy and have tingles, especially the Meryl Streep section. Normally if I find a video that is fab after a while it stops giving tingles or making me sleepy so I have to give it a break for a while, but haven't had that with this. The whisper is spot on. There are many tiny facial movements we use for non-verbal communication that are taken away by Botox. Every line on our face tells the story of who we are and how we have laughed and smiled through life. A professional microdermabrasion or facial can give dramatic results without the needles:)

You’re beautiful as you are! ❤ Also just look how plastic these actresses and singers and other celebrities look who did fully shoot up their faces like Nicole Kidman for example. I mean, I know it isn’t easy and I know these women probably experience a huge amount of pressure to stay ‘young and beautiful’….but the thing is, they just don’t. They look plastificated and unnatural, nothing more nothing less. I love Meryl Streep for the amazing actress she is but also for staying true to herself. She’s beautiful!

It’s a massive privilege to grow old. My best friend died at 67. Far too soon. My aunt died at 59. I am now five years older than her when she died. Grow old gracefully and thankfully. ❤

It's very interesting to se the color swatches actually change your vision and how it plays out with someone's eyes and skin tones. There's time's when I put on a certain color shirt or dress and think (nope!) And now i get it.. I learned I'm an Autumn gal and it makes perfect sense with those colors because I'm drawn towards them as well as look best in that color scheme.

☺️☺️☺️ you're too kind! I'm doing my best to not do it but there are days when I'm surrounded by stunning women and they all do botox so I start doubting... both my circle of friends and my own ideas about botox. It's a crazy push and pull 😬❤

There are many tiny facial movements we use for non-verbal communication that are taken away by Botox. Every line on our face tells the story of who we are and how we have laughed and smiled through life. A professional microdermabrasion or facial can give dramatic results without the needles:)

It was about time I got in touch; I discovered your asmr videos back in 2016 and have not stopped watching them since. It's not only a really effective way to relax at the end of my day, it's also packed with human warmth; the best of humankind really. You have a unique way of connecting with people (I find impressive how personal and intimate you manage to make your "conversations" when all done digitally without ever meeting or knowing most of us). You have given me so much over the years, with nothing in return from me!...

You’re beautiful as you are! ❤ Also just look how plastic these actresses and singers and other celebrities look who did fully shoot up their faces like Nicole Kidman for example. I mean, I know it isn’t easy and I know these women probably experience a huge amount of pressure to stay ‘young and beautiful’….but the thing is, they just don’t. They look plastificated and unnatural, nothing more nothing less. I love Meryl Streep for the amazing actress she is but also for staying true to herself. She’s beautiful!
Girl, this made my night! Since I was a kid, people have been telling me I look like Meryl Streep. I'm 56 now and they're still saying it. I don't have one one-hundredth of her talent, though. 😂 So happy you did her colors, and I LOVE what you said in the beginning. She's awesome, and so are you!

It’s a massive privilege to grow old. My best friend died at 67. Far too soon. My aunt died at 59. I am now five years older than her when she died. Grow old gracefully and thankfully. ❤

I agree. I've had a complex about my crooked nose since I can remember, even being a young child, but looking at beautiful people with crooked noses who embrace it, makes me feel empowered and beautiful. ❤
It's very interesting to se the color swatches actually change your vision and how it plays out with someone's eyes and skin tones. There's time's when I put on a certain color shirt or dress and think (nope!) And now i get it.. I learned I'm an Autumn gal and it makes perfect sense with those colors because I'm drawn towards them as well as look best in that color scheme.
I absolutely love these. I hope you make a video, where you mainly focus on tracing and tapping the faces. So relaxing.
