Weiland was a Rockstar, straight up. Looks like Clint Eastwood and David Bowie wrapped up in one giant ball of talent and cool. 12 Bar Blues is a masterpiece that one day hopefully folks will recognize. RIP Legend
Omg. What brought me to this amazing song. Something from beyond. No doubt. Im getting the chills. My sweetheart died young in the 90s. A a risk taking surfer, a beautiful renaissance man who tried everything in life - maybe a bit too much. He channeled Bowie and Eastwood in the way he walked, talked and LOOKED. Miss u LKW. 😢❤
Everytime which is often I watch this and get drunk and cry. What a song and I had the chance to see him in PA .Didn't make it .He had it. charisma on stage and the voice is top 5 for me.
It's amazing how much better this live version is than the album version. The chorus is more powerful and energetic! Scott's voice is amazing and Cyndi's high notes in the background create a beautiful resonance.
I was exactly a meter away from Cyndi Lauper after being given a free ticket to her concert. She climbed to our area with her corset and heels. Amazing woman. She sang the blues like no one and I loved every song even if I didn't know a single one.
Love this performance! Nine months later that stage had a baby. Scott is easily in the top five frontmen ever AND top five sexiest humans ever. We love and miss you dearly, brother.
I frightening myself the other night on the eve of the anniversary of his death I start listening to STP without knowing. I was very fortunate to have see him live twice once with STP and the other with Velvet Revolver. His solo album 12 Bar blues is simply a masterpiece. I stay great joy in this phenomenal performance of Barbarella. A true Rock star.
Yeah if you turned off the video and titles and skipped a minute into the video you would swear it was David Bowie singing with Cyndi. Not trying to criticize Scott or David. Just never realized how similar their voices were.
i know this is late but they were kindred spirits www.nme.com/news/music/david-bowie-tried-to-reach-out-to-stone-temple-pilots-frontman-scott-weiland-before-his-death-2383311
Dude....I watch this and cannot wrap my head around the massive gift Scott had....I wonder if he ever saw himself in this video and if he did, how come his addiction was stronger than THIS! RIP Scott......
There are conspiracy theorists swearing he's Bowie's son. I wouldn't go that far, but he is very similar in looks and vocal style. Scott could sound very different. He could sing like Jim Morrison, or anyone really.
@@melindaking9270 And all this time I thought there were uncanny similarities, I figured I was alone in that assessment. The DeLeos did the same to me when they worked with Coutts in Talk Show, who at times really reminded me of Freddie Mercury.
12 Bar Blues is an outstanding album. You're missed Scott.
Very under rated album
Both of you are VERY right!!!!!!!
Big time
I wrote a speech in community college about 12 Bar Blues. My teacher LOVED it. It’s such a great album!
Plus, Lauper is amazing, and I feel like during this, she looks enthralled by Weiland.
I love the Bowie inspired feel here, he was one of Scott Weiland's biggest influences.
Weiland....the most underrated Rock voice of them all.
I’m wit you , by far the most underrated singer
He'll yes
What makes you believe he's underrated? Did you travel globe globe taking a survey from every citizen of the world? Please explain.
Weiland is my favorite musician ever he is criminally underrated
I agree, he's a highly regarded world famous vocalist who sold millions of records. That's hardly underated @@gogoyubari366

This is a gift! One of the best duets ever seen!

These two artists trust and respect each other. Makes for great watching and thank you for posting. RIP Scott, I’m glad your no longer feeling pain.

Solid Performance. Rest Peacefully Scott, you were good.
I remember watching this when it first came on. LOVE THIS!

Wow, what a treat! Thanks for sharing this; yet another testament to how cool Weiland was.
Incredible performance. I miss Scott!
Two of my favorites. Just so so good.
Scott’s passing is so heartbreaking 💔! 😢
This was epic!
Oh man i keep on repeating this maybe for 20.000 times
So complimentary to each other. Wow 😎
Seriously so good
Spotify needs this !
He sounds like David Bowie here. Yet sometimes he sounds like Jim Morrison. With a big dash of a wild punker. He really is 🔥.
They had really good chemistry together!
A punk Bowie, what a talent. RIP.
Scott had NOTHING about "punk"...
People dont know bowie
What a beautiful performance by two talented legends, of a brilliant song. So glad to have seen this.
Thanks youtube for dropping this in my lap.... Keep it coming....
Very Bowie
When he wasn’t drugged up he was the last great rock star on the planet !!!
Great performance, sorely missed.
Thanks so much for this. Miss Scott so very much. Much love to all who feel the same.
Bowie yes and Neil Diamond too on top of that classic Western style Clint Eastwood look.
"You bet your balls it's Neil Diamond!" - Will Ferrell as Neil Diamond. Classic.

Beautiful Rockstar with a great Voice and a big Heart❤,i miss him everyday 😢
Thank you for posting this. I’m a HUGE fan but haven’t had a television since 96. I’d have never seen this otherwise. This made my day.
So Creative. So powerful. So brilliant 🙏 🙏

The coolest man in rock n' roll history. Full stop. Not an opinion. Not a thought. Total truth.
❤ I've seen both of them. Up close. Incredible talent. 🎉😊🤘
Pure sound and talent, miss the music.
First time I've seen this
. Like anything Scott did incredible thank you
The most epic thing I've ever seen.
Yeah if you turned off the video and titles and skipped a minute into the video you would swear it was David Bowie singing with Cyndi. Not trying to criticize Scott or David. Just never realized how similar their voices were.
LOL yes .. exactly my thoughts
Thank you!
I always thought that too!
And when the boys worked with Dave in Talk Show, he reminded me of Mercury.

En STP, en Velvet Revólver, sus discos en solitario que hombre tan sexy y talentoso. Guapo, baila increíble. Lo extraño muchísimo.
Nice. Thanks
Ladaies and gentlemen that is a Rock Star
That was unbeleivable!
Beautiful
The last real rock star. RIP Weiland.

When the stars colide omg watched this 100 times.
Magic!
beautiful
I will still listen to this one until that day come....😑😞🥺
We miss you Scottttttt
LEGEND
One of a kind!!!
Scott legend
starts like Morrison than goes to Bowie
I was thinking the whole time that he reminded me of Bowie's voice when singing this. So awesome!
This tandem always made sense...
Dude....I watch this and cannot wrap my head around the massive gift Scott had....I wonder if he ever saw himself in this video and if he did, how come his addiction was stronger than THIS! RIP Scott......
madstoppie he did kick heroin. Not a small accomplishment, imo.
You have never had an addiction, have you?
It was the trauma
Wasn't his opiate medicine. Using opiates every day per se is nothing. It was the damn psychiatric "medicine" he got.
Barbarella!!!! Wow!
Now i know what a bowie-lauper duet would sound like
We miss u Scott, RIP bro
🔥🔥🔥❤️
❤
And Cindy is the cherry on top. 🍧
Why did I not know about this?
did he ever sing with Bowie? Uncanny vocals and similar light dance moves.
gregmpalumbo Nope.
No, but Bowie was his main influence.
There are conspiracy theorists swearing he's Bowie's son. I wouldn't go that far, but he is very similar in looks and vocal style. Scott could sound very different. He could sing like Jim Morrison, or anyone really.
