Not a big fan but this song is gorgeous and eerie and might be their best. I don't think Scott is bisexual but he sure seems it here. And I mean that with no bite or any meanness. I could care less whatever he was, just sorry he was not happier while he lived.

Almost think this version is better than the album version, and to see them performing it is INSANE... Scott's exceptionally on point for this one, delivering from the beginning to every ounce of him drained out at the last word of the song. You can see the Bowie influence running strong in his choice of wardrobe, stage presence and mannerisms. Pure class. Thank you for sharing.

Sorry, but Scott was the last significant front man in the classic 4 piece rock band line up configuration.. There will never be another front man like that, let alone someone with as much charisma, uniqueness, stage presence, and style. He was Morrison, Bowie, Iggy Pop, and Lennon all mashed up together. Their new singer can never live up to that gargantuan reputation and eclipsing shadow that is Scott Weiland. He was a quadruple threat of singer, song writer, entertainer, and quintessential rock star, and had the potential to be a huge success as a solo artist, if he kicked that damn drug and alcohol problem, and if his whore of an ex wife didn't drain him for everything he had. Yes, he made mistakes, but he was human and needed help, that of which he didn't get as much as he should have.
R.I.P Scott. To those of us who know good music and special musicians, you are not sorely missed, you are insanely, hopelessly, terribly missed..

Like many I was a big STP fan back in the day and then lost track of them. I casually listened to the VR stuff, but not like I did with STP. Then after Scott's death I poured through old vids of his performances and realized that he was one the great performers of our generation. I'm so sad that I never got to see him perform live. This vid is one of my favorites (thanks live2cd for posting). His game is so on point around this time (circa 2000)... clear-minded in interviews, so precise in his delivery, and such a vivid performer. The remarkable thing is that even toward the end in those small club gigs with the Wildabouts, despite being clearly affected by drugs and depression, his passion and dedication are still evident. And he still sings better than 95% of folks out there. We lost a great one. RIP Scott Weiland.

Still can't believe Scott Weiland is gone. I'm put off by the comments of "What a waste of life." I think people are missing the point. Guy was on top of the planet for a time, and had amazing talent; he simply couldn't overcome his demons. We are all facing our own personal apocalypses in one form or another, the only difference is how we choose to cope with it. We all still live our lives, none of which I would ever consider a "waste." I'll try my best to make those that are having a hard time coping with this crazy gift we call life, and help make the journey a little less painful along the way, however I can. I suggest everyone try to do the same!

RIP Scott. Thank you for sharing yourself with us.
Such a haunting performance here. I saw this song performed live in 2000 at X-Fest outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Such A great show and talented group of performers. These guys carried me through a chaotic and strange part of my life. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.

Saw the STP 4 tour in St. Louis, Missouri, and it was flawless, performance, sound and all. These talk shows were notorious for bad sound back in the day and Scott was never spot on in these things, nerves or what, or sound, but this was okay. In STL they came out of the gates with "Crackerman" and hits from Core, it was a smash.

I remember staying up to watch this when it aired back in 2000. I was 20 and had heard it on Roswell, and instantly fell in love with it. ❤

Me too. I recorded on VHS that night. I actually recorded him Scott performing this song on most of the late night shows when this came out. I was 19 years old!

Scott had range and lyricism akin to David Bowie. I love rewatching the musical talents from yesteryear.

I saw STP that 2000 tour.
    June 2000, Kansas City.
    I was 22yrs old.
My Friends girlfriend won 6 frontrow tickets off a local Rock radio station.
    I dropped 3grams Shrooms 0:32 15mins b4 STP took stage just before dusk/nighttime.
I've been drinking since Noon & Smoking J's all afternoon!
    (I was FRONT ROW.
    LOL..absolutely an "experience."
More of an experience...than 90% of these Religions fanatics have ever had!

I wish this song had been written earlier and appeared on their massively underrated MTV Unplugged. but I'm also glad it came out when it did cause seeing this music video circa 2000 as a 13 year old was my first exposure to STP

This was the first STP song i ever heard, i was always so surprised how different it sounded to the rest of their catalogue. I like the way Scott sings on this song more than the majority of their songs, which kinda sound more Eddie Vedderish
