There is no law to be enforced, they have the right to sail by, be it a spy ship, a nuclear sub or anything else. Russian spy ships often sail by the French nuclear subs’ base and missile testing sites, and you can’t do anything about it, they are in their rights following international law. All you can do is send a warship to sail along it.

What i find weird about whats said in the documentary is that they were able to decode the meaning of the morse codes even though you would think they had some kind of encryption on top of the morse codes. The Russian Navy ships are sending international weather code using Morse. It contains the latitude and longitude of the vessel. They are using Ship Surface Observation code, FM 13-IX Ship. If they were using encryption for the weather then it would be the key to the decryption of the message. In the address group of the Morse message they send the callsigns for the Russian hydrographic stations. They have been doing this since Soviet times.

What i find weird about whats said in the documentary is that they were able to decode the meaning of the morse codes even though you would think they had some kind of encryption on top of the morse codes. If they really wanted to obfuscate then they would not broadcast systematically at the hour nor in easily decrypted communication. For me it seems after watching the documentary that they do not care if people know, only that they might not want investigative journalist to produce contents. There is no way military intelligence does not have control of the position of the ships

The Russian Navy ships are sending international weather code using Morse. It contains the latitude and longitude of the vessel. They are using Ship Surface Observation code, FM 13-IX Ship. If they were using encryption for the weather then it would be the key to the decryption of the message. In the address group of the Morse message they send the callsigns for the Russian hydrographic stations. They have been doing this since Soviet times.
So the bottom line is: your enemy is systematically fucking you up and instead retaliating you’re just whining about it.
