I can't answer for sure as I don't know much about Chromebooks or what websites/accounts your school might have them log in to that could give them permission. You could just ask your teacher or have your parents ask a school administrator.

@@Blue_Dx if you are using your own computer, you should still be fine even if you are logged in to your school Zoom account. There are no controls in Zoom that let the teacher see your screen if you aren't sharing, or see through your camera/hear your microphone when you're muted. You are correct about joining a meeting though - I'd recommend closing/minimizing all other windows before you start Zoom. I believe it connects the camera first THEN asks you to connect to audio, it does not do both at the same time. So for example you might already be connected with your camera, but if you have a lot of other things open, your Zoom window could be hidden, and you might not realize it.

@@Blue_Dx if you go in to your Zoom Settings -> Video there is a checkbox for "Turn off my video when joining a meeting." If you do that then I believe it will always join with your camera off by default. If you literally don't want anyone to ever see you you could always cover your camera with a piece of opaque tape (if you're using a laptop with a built in camera).
As far as I know, that means your teacher must be using other software like GoGuardian or Securly etc. Zoom had an "attention tracking" feature that would tell the host if Zoom was not the active window, but they removed it last year due to privacy concerns: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115000538083-Attendee-attention-tracking

No, as long as you are not screen sharing, the recording will not record your screen.

I’d recommend looking into what she had you put on your phone also you can delete it because they cannot force you to download software on a personal device

@Xx Rr As explained in the video and description above, if the computer was given to you by the school, there may be third-party monitoring software that lets them see through your camera even when you are not using Zoom. I recommend reading the articles linked in the description to learn more.

I don't think the teacher can see it directly but your school's IT admin can download a report with that information: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201363213-Getting-started-with-reports

Please see this video th-cam.com/video/l9yc1v6Pozg/w-d-xo.html. The teacher won't know if you pinned someone just through Zoom, but if your computer was given to you by the school and there is other software where they can see your screen, then yes they could know if you pinned someone.

By the way, im curious about some problem no one ever mentioned, whenever a person is joining a zoom meeting and it shows the "connecting to audio" can they still be heared or they need to click on "use computer audio" if you have a video about it please let me know! I need to know everything about the "connecting to..." thing, most because apparently sometimes when you are connecting your camera shows up but doesn't notify you
@@Blue_Dx if you are using your own computer, you should still be fine even if you are logged in to your school Zoom account. There are no controls in Zoom that let the teacher see your screen if you aren't sharing, or see through your camera/hear your microphone when you're muted. You are correct about joining a meeting though - I'd recommend closing/minimizing all other windows before you start Zoom. I believe it connects the camera first THEN asks you to connect to audio, it does not do both at the same time. So for example you might already be connected with your camera, but if you have a lot of other things open, your Zoom window could be hidden, and you might not realize it.
@@BenFinio Thank you! The problem is that i don't know if they can hear me when it says im connecting to audio even if i pre disabled the mic in options, and when it isn't disabled too. Another thing is that i saw that zoom shows the camera of some people when they are connecting to audio, and when they finally connect, their camera inmediatly turns off, can they see me while im connecting?
@@Blue_Dx if you go in to your Zoom Settings -> Video there is a checkbox for "Turn off my video when joining a meeting." If you do that then I believe it will always join with your camera off by default. If you literally don't want anyone to ever see you you could always cover your camera with a piece of opaque tape (if you're using a laptop with a built in camera).

As far as I know, that means your teacher must be using other software like GoGuardian or Securly etc. Zoom had an "attention tracking" feature that would tell the host if Zoom was not the active window, but they removed it last year due to privacy concerns: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115000538083-Attendee-attention-tracking
