just have an adaptive mode that "insures" that you hit your refresh, like DRS but instead of lowering the base res, it would almost have like a dynamic vsync that will keep your end fps at 240 for example, so it would vsync to 60 if you can't hit 80fps level frame times, and run 4x fg auto. 80fps native to 119 native would run 3x fg, vsync to 80.
we have it in LSFG but it works bad i think. input lag and frame pacing stutters. but idk how it'd look on DLSS FG lets call the effect as some big low% stutters
Yeah, imagine binding this adaptive mode to certain input latency. For example, you choose 50 ms input latency as a target, and when your fps drops with framegen too much, it starts generating one frame less to keep these 50 ms. So you always have responsive game

Amazing video. I did the same setup with my 4090 Ryzen 9 7950X3D very optimized. All figures show a solid 20% performance edge of the 5090 against 4090. Two more observations. 4x frame generation on 5090 makes 5090 do nearly double the frames of 4090. But when the CPU is limited, the 7 9 7950X3D does better, and the gap drops to only 10% to 5090. What amazing Nvidia GPUs. It is fun just to watch the colors on an OLED monitor.
You mean what literally happened from the 3090 to the 4090? Not every generation is going to be such a ridiculously massive leap, but it's a little tone deaf to say this after it just happened.
Next generation will be a big jump IF they go to 2nm. It's a huge upgrade over 5/4 but it's also super expensive so the 6000 series will probably be on 3nm.

Thanks for the vid. Interesting to know for me as well, as I'm getting a 5080 in two weeks time (I hope). I saw that Reflex is on btw, which should be mentioned. It helps to reduce input lag by quite a bit. Don't know if Reflex 2 is used here, but that improves upon the feeling of less latency as well. The 5080 will be more susceptible to input lag due to lower initial FPS. I suspect that this won't be much of a problem for me. Getting old and slower mentally, so that latency probably don't get registered by me half of the time. The beforementioned Reflex 2 should also help reduce lag quite a bit. I believe frame generation is intended to be used with Reflex at its core. In terms of feature support, titles going backwards in time should be easily manageable anyways, and I believe most necessary GPU features will be included in pretty much all triple A games going forward. In my case I have a max hz of 144, so I believe the 5090 would in fact be overkill at the moment, considering 3x and 4x FG. I had a 5090 in my shopping basket though, but lost it at the very last moment when confirming :( I spent the difference (after subtracting the ridiculous added 300-400 dollars for liquid cooling) on something that turned out to be a new pc instead. 9800x3d cpu in fact; Liquid cooled. :) Perhaps I'll finally get to use my three open hifi headphones when using my main pc. Hehe. Funny thing; a new cabinet, mobo, ram, cpu, liquid cooler for cpu and a 4 tb PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD drive cost nearly exactly the same as that single RTX 5080. Silly really...

hey bro i have been following your channel from turkey for a long time, you have really informative videos. Hope you reach 1 million subscribers soon. and finally justice for bob!
The new frame gen is much better at increasing perceived response because it can apply the motion vector of the mouse to the image just before it goes on screen. Or something like that. So you feel like you're connected to the game instead of just having more fluidity but not response also. It is the pinnacle of frame generation. Good response and good framerate. I'd say the bottom fps for it to work really well is somewhere around 45-50fps.
Keep in mind on 30 and 20 series cards, ray reconstruction in the new transformer model drops fps by up to 40% compared to 40 and 50 series cards which is about 5%. Could be worth testing in the future!
I really wish they leaned more towards getting DLAA more playable at those kind of RT overdrive settings. DLAA at 4K looks so unreal and crisp that I wish it was playable at those max settings, and hope it does get to be playable eventually, with lower latency. It really makes those lost details from even DLSS quality come back and pop the image further.

The game looks insane I use a 1660ti and ryzen 5 2600x and I can run 1080p low at 50-60 fps with frequent stuffers and freezing but I did not know the game could look so beautiful
I injected the transformer model into AC Evo and it looks better on DLSS ultra quality than it does natively or with DLAA. It's incredible, even at 1440p. Only issue is dash wobbles when stationary but Kunos haven't added it yet and I imagine it will get better as the game goes through its early access stages. But already it looks better than native
DLSS is a features set. and it really "Performance Boost", but if we're just picking up the FG without benefit of the SR and RR, it will be just a Frame Smoothing. so people need to understand that FG is made to use with the SR. I mean, 4K Overdrive Native are just 30 fps with 60sh PCL, but with DLSS P + 4x FG + RR is over 200 fps with 35sh PCL, so it increase the fps yet lower the latency even with better image Quality (Native with PT are very noisy). win win solution.

I would like to see the comparison as I love lossless scaling for games like elden ring and arma 3 as the FG makes it feel closer to an unoptimised 2019 game than a unoptimised 2013 game
@@hiddenllama3659 lossless scaling is not bad at all when you can have dlss 4 frame gen at home for free lol
@@hiddenllama3659 also in every single game
Amazing video. I did the same setup with my 4090 Ryzen 9 7950X3D very optimized. All figures show a solid 20% performance edge of the 5090 against 4090. Two more observations. 4x frame generation on 5090 makes 5090 do nearly double the frames of 4090. But when the CPU is limited, the 7 9 7950X3D does better, and the gap drops to only 10% to 5090.
What amazing Nvidia GPUs. It is fun just to watch the colors on an OLED monitor.
Love DLSS Transformer model, it's far better than native ❤
Fr
It looks nice
And I'd much rather take the smoother frames of native resolution
4k dlss quality is basically just native at this point
@@blackface-b1v Yeah 4k dlss quality looks almost artifact free now, it's actually a good experience compared to the previous DLSS 3
Actually watched the whole thing in 1x speed somehow, was entertaining!
you're never going to see a 50% gain in raw performance in a new generation with the same class GPU. the golden age is over for GPU upgrades.
@@MermaidTyrone i will believe 2nm when i see it. Yields are going to be incredibly low. I don't see it anytime soon, if ever.
@@dt99022 8nm vs 4nm. not going to see 2nm, maybe ever
@@dt99022 Because Nvidia went from Samsung’s mediocre 8nm node to a really good 5nm node from TSMC. We might see a 40% gain if Nvidia keeps the power consumption close to 600 watts at 2nm though, so who knows
crazy i didn't see any ghosting or artifacting and the dlss performance is really good
This video closed the mouth of many who were crying because of the imput lag and the badly called "fake frames"
PD: 22:23 the performance problem is due to that "psycho" adjustment of the reflections by ssr. They consume more than the reflections themselves by ray tracing and if they are deactivated (leaving them on ultra) 10 or 15 fps more are obtained.
i'm glad I have waited 5 years to finally buy Cyberpunk later this year all the issues for the most parts gone and worth the plunge with the new cards coming that can run it buttery smooth can't wait to get my hands on the 9070 XT been excited for 2 years now.
9070 XT has to match at least 4070ti super in ray tracing
Makes me so sad how many PC gamers who call themselves PC enthusiasts know absolutely nothing about Rat Tracing or Path Tracing. Console mentality.
"Rat tracing" 😅
I thought the pcmasterrace "supremacy" died out, guess not
🐀 🐀 🐀 🐀 🐀 🐀 🐀 🐀 🐀 🐀
nah it's going to cat trace
cause no one gives a fark about that shi
I know you test gpus mainly but if there was a special video for lossless scaling testing every frame gen X modes (it has x20 max insane right) that video would be like a gift I never could have imagine I would get. (It would be more like having a fun time video and appreciating what just an app is capable of doing, rather than a regural benchmark and I'm sure many people would love to see it aswell)
Hello, can you compare RTX 5090 with RTX 4090 without dlss and any Nvidia's fancy stuff
watching this in a 720p screen is so good
Thanks for the vid.
I had a 5090 in my shopping basket though, but lost it at the very last moment when confirming :(
I spent the difference (after subtracting the ridiculous added 300-400 dollars for liquid cooling) on something that turned out to be a new pc instead.
I'm going to get the 5090 just for that 16k cinematic experience 😘👌*chef's kiss*
kryzzp ur a maniac and i absolutely love it
Looool all this poping is insane while having frame gen enable! like you're having a view distance of 10m you can litteraly seein road textures popping while driving. 6:11
man i cant wait to get a 5090 this is going to be so sick
you know I really like your videos . keep uploading everyday😃😃
the new transformer model on my 4070 ti super in 2077 is amazing, the difference in the rain is insane. Absolutely cooked with this
I saw people on reddit reporting new artifacts with it on foliage and other narrow objects, have you noticed anything like this?
NO
the transformer model is absolute brilliant, don’t believe the hatred. It’s really really good.
@@Mr_CopaceticGamer how big is performance hit from old DLSS? What GPU do you have?
@@Averageenjoyer-br1zm good question:
RTX 3090 I7-12700k 32gb ddr5 5600 MT
Maybe one or two FPS but it’s not noticeable because how clean the images and how smooth the images now there’s a lot more clarity even on ultra performance
So put it like this, every graphic setting basically got buffed IE: ultra performance is now the new performance, so so forth it’s definitely transformative 🤓 imo and my case
@@Mr_CopaceticGamer 1-2 fps seems good, will probably be more noticeable on my weak ahh gpu though.. Anyway, i don't see new nvidia driver for this new DLSS mode, i have the latest, and it's from December 25th, is it the same for you?
hey bro i have been following your channel from turkey for a long time, you have really informative videos. Hope you reach 1 million subscribers soon. and finally justice for bob!
Thank you very much 🙏😊
The new frame gen is much better at increasing perceived response because it can apply the motion vector of the mouse to the image just before it goes on screen.
Best channel 👌 for benchmarking on youtube keep yp the good work mate 👍😁
Cyberpunk is becoming the John benchmark of graphics cards noice
Our boi finally sniped a 9800X3D 😎😎
I did not expect to see 1000 fps even with mfg 4x because this game is cpu intensive
thats the most vram used that i have seen in a game :) im on a 3090 24gb vram highest i saw was around 18gb still blow my mind next gen has that little its faster but nor enough imo espacially for the 5080
Thank you for this! 👍👍👍👍👍
The game looks insane I use a 1660ti and ryzen 5 2600x and I can run 1080p low at 50-60 fps with frequent stuffers and freezing but I did not know the game could look so beautiful
saying goodbye to Bob never looked so good
you are my favourite youtuber
always love the content man
keep it up
I injected the transformer model into AC Evo and it looks better on DLSS ultra quality than it does natively or with DLAA.
Holy shit CyberPunk is getting Old and me too :) lol
Eu estou realmente impressionado!
It would be interesting to see the 1% low fps because this shows how well FrameGen works
Thats Nice..Please Do 16K on multiple games, i want to see graphics break!
Will do!
I'm so jealous of your for having this monster of a graphics card 🤤
Anyways, great video as always 😊❤
