I think most bass anglers underestimate how much bass like tubes, I’ve caught a lot of big ones on tiny crappie tubes in the spring, the fish see skirted lures all the time, spinnerbait, chatterbaits ,jigs, the tube has a rubber skirt looks diffrent feels diffrent to them . Sometimes that’s all you need to catch more fish then the next guy doing the same old thing

@@Bass-N-Baitssuper popular amongst smallmouth fishermen up here in Michigan on lake st Clair, unfortunately I find the remnants of torn tube plastics left on the ground, though I do have to pick up after their negligence, it has helped me pick up on what people are having success with even if they don’t want to share their secrets lmao
I agree, tubes are very underrated and people around me stopped fishing tubes a while ago and I still use them and catch tons of bass

Tubes have been my #1 go to here recently. It's almost guaranteed I catch something. Smallmouth, largmouth, crappie, bluegill, steelhead. You name it.

looks like the strike king tube. Skirtless with a tube is my favourite way to fish a chatterbait. I use tubes from reins - the first centimter of the top is filled to set the hook/bait keeper secure. or check out the keitech salty core tube

My biggest bass was a 6 pounder caught on a black and blue spinner bait with with a red and white tube on it. No clue why it works but bass seem to love it
Strike king makes a flipping tube, it's solid plastic at the head, would seem to work better....nice mod tho, thanks for sharing..❤🙏

I've been playing with chatterbaits in the saltwater. I've seen flounder and redfish caught on them on TH-cam. The flounder don't seem to be here right now, but I think when I find them the technique you mentioned will be deadly for them. But I'm going to use a Berkley Gulp tail, a grub or swimming mullet or boot tail. Gulp really catches flounder, and I think it's going to be awesome with a chatterbait for dirty water.

Tubes are some of my favorite plastics. Works on tons of different species and sizes of fish.

Caught my largest bass on a black and blue chatter bait with a red trailer. 9.24lbs. Good idea with the tubes. Any lake Erie fishin people that read this put a solid white 4" tube and try this. The small mouth around the rocks go nuts for these. Shhhh 🤫 let it be our secret

Best way to use a chatterbait is to put it in the tacklebox and use a trick worm. Can't be outfished, at least around here anyways

Very cool, I always have a tube tied on. Why do you need to cut a slit in (damage) the tube when you can simply bring the hook point thru it? Seems to me this will also secure the tube on the hook. I feel like the cut will increase/damage the tube more with each bite and catch...

I don't understand why you have to cut the tube. What's the difference of pushing the keeper up into the tube and then threading the chatterbait hook thru the senko piece and then the tube wall???

Why not just use the tube and the sinko at the same time at this point, why waste the sinko? It should fit just fine with the hollow tube, chatter tube sinko, spinner-worm got nothing on that

Yea and didn’t give credit to him. This is nothing new it’s been out for a year. He even said in the comments the EXACT same thing as Randy did. Someone I’m the comments asked “why do you cut it and the reply from this kid was to the effect of “because it’s easier for the hook to penetrate” and that’s exactly what Randy said🤣

So im gussing is a bit of a slower version of the chatter bait. Would be nice on those tougher days that they dont really wanna chase much

Ton of work? he did it in less than 60 seconds! And if it only caught one fish it did it's job if it catches a few it did excellen. keep buying but eventually that's gets old and you start making your own rugs that work just as well or better everyone fishing buys the same lures and those fish have eyes they can see and learn that's just todd throwing a spinner bait again don't bite that one

I dont see a problem prepping a few tubes at a time... So like why not cut up 3 or 4 pieces of the senko , pop them in the tube and cut and them place the prepped tubes back in the bag.... really see no BIG difference if I have to put on a new worm either texas or whacky rigged.....
Now put the skirt back on with the tube and thank me later

What is the cut for?
That cut, is for hock. Because it help to put any lenght off the hoock. He do not want to explay point. For him he thinks is secret he want to keep for him self
Since tubes tend to be stiff plastic it allows the hook to penetrate better. The plastic won't get in the way of your hook set
