I had similar issues when installing mine I used stock mounts too. The directions that came with mine was absolutely trash too. Nice job on the lift, makes a huge difference with the look!
In the middle of putting a 3" body lift on my 2006. 2 rusted bed frame crush washers that the bolts screw into coming loose has taken me an extra day easy. I had to cut the bolts off because they wouldnt drop out for anything. I'm going to have to take the bed off and weld them, weld a nut to the threads that are left and hopefully get them out before I can continue on the back. 2 days in and I only have the cab and front done. I have a 6 inch suspension lift as well so I had to do an emergency brake delete for now. So expect up to 3, possibly even 4 full days when doing this install....
Steve Rons it came with pretty useless instructions I followed as much as I could , and the rest I used common sense and critical thinking lol. I’ve also had a experience with various lifts previously, so this wasn’t too difficult until the bed bolts snapped!
Yes. Fairly easy to do but you will need a tortion key tool. When you get the new tortion keys in, get a tape measure and measure the bolts on each side where the nuts are at so the truck is level on each side
“That’s the easiest part” oh shit I’m screwed😂😂😂😂
Don’t even have a truck and I find this entertaining
When you’re 35 and you’re favorite youtube is in their early 20s😂😂
Finding your channel was the best part of quarantine
Very real and genuine with your videos! Thanks for showing all the not so glamorous parts and what could go wrong! Nice truck
Trucker Smithson agreed! Love this channel
Trucker Smithson yessir^
Just finished my 03 Silverado with a 3” body lift. So far loving it. Just have to fix my two front cab bolts that broke when taking them off!
Love body lifts. Simply cause it gives more room when working on brake lines or fuel lines

Can’t wait for the next video!
Which kit did you use?
Did you add crush blocks to your bed?
Bro I saw this truck in Florida and it was not you lmao I found out the hard way😂😂😂
How does the rear bumper look
So I think what I have gathered is I’m gonna have someone else do it haha
Are you getting a suspension lift too or just keeping the body lift
He liked it so is that yes or no? Lol 🤷♂️😂
How’d you learn how to do the body lift
Steve Rons it came with pretty useless instructions I followed as much as I could , and the rest I used common sense and critical thinking lol. I’ve also had a experience with various lifts previously, so this wasn’t too difficult until the bed bolts snapped!
Can I step on my rear bumper without it falling off ?
I could
What kit did u used??
What did you paint your truck with
Raptor liner
Bruh this happened to me I was so pissed
You plan on uploading still
Yes
Has anybody tried using the rough country leveling kit that comes with the rear block and front keys and a small 1.5 to 2 inch body lift?
Yes. Fairly easy to do but you will need a tortion key tool. When you get the new tortion keys in, get a tape measure and measure the bolts on each side where the nuts are at so the truck is level on each side
I did a body lift myself too and I struggled so hard it’s not even funny took me 2 weeks.
Where did you get it?
Rough country
This is all too familiar. My dad and I did mine and it took forever because of all the damn rusted bolts and stuff
Literal mocking image of what happened to me
Rough stuff lol
The instructions that come with these suck!
