Corn silage looks beautiful. Red bullock had a limp, right front hoof? Interesting about the disease killing cattle so quickly.

Good man Gerry, keep the cattle videos coming.
Nice to see more bullocks. They weren’t cheap if they were bought here in the west though!!

Cattle look in good order. Would you consider bolting the tyres together be handy taking them off the pit.

Was the sides of those sheds designed to have the tin sheets spaced like that or is that a modification after use?
Any issues with condensation in those sheds?

What age do they go to the factory at and what weights do you aim for

When did you build the maize pit Gerry? Saw you clearing the area ages ago and hinted at a project we assumed a shed?
Cant see any videos about the new silage pit?
Looks a great move forward for finishing cattle?

Hi Gerry , could that infection of sudden death affect new born calves too? Could you write the name down for us to do more research.
All my calves born fine but lost 2 in 24 hours. Saw them getting beatings and great form in the morning but dead in the evening. We put it down to bad hearts or another defect. Or sat on.

Enjoyable video Gerry, fair play to ya,you've some fine looking animals.
Did you ever think of bolting tyres together to make tyre matt,it might be handy for when you are stripping the pit.

Orange colouring could be a result of a nitric oxide collection point during fermentation. Usually a sign of a good seal

I know you didn’t do a video on the new silage / maize pit but was it pre formed wall slabs you used or formed mass concrete? Would be interesting to know the DM and Energy % of the maize. 30% for each is the indicator to good maize silage.
