Hi Andrew, a 140hp new holland is actually the same size tractor is what you have other than tyre size variants, if its a bit more horse power your after they are quite easy to adjust your existing tractor, cheers
Rather than a larger tractor might look at solar photo-voltaic for the cowshed. Put some power back into the grid rather than only going one way. There was some sort of North Island grid fault the other day, North Island power prices were heading for the stratosphere while South Island power prices were giveaway. Transpower mentions 7-10 year time frames for submarine electricity cable replacements (Cook Strait), which could mean cowsheds on diesel generators if they have problems delivering the project.
Buy 4 every year, the new ones go out with the heifers down at grazing then we bring them back and they stay here until the following mating in which they go out with the cows then to the works. Not really a market for them after this plus there temperament has changed
Hey Andrew do you guys have a different cattle truck driver every pickup I really love that old school old guy trucker who got your bulls nearly 2 years in your video
Hey Andrew, have you considered multi species at all to have biological nitrogren rather than $$$ synthetic nitrogen? th-cam.com/video/Riz3GtFpG2E/w-d-xo.html

For cleanup bulls you could use black angus!
😀👍
Nice video
What do you do with heifer calves out of those bulls.
Bobby truck i think
Keeps them that why they get rid of bulls every two years so the don’t breed with their own calves
Hi I like your video
Do you buy the bulls to put with the cows and hefiers then send them to the works ?why not try to sell them on ? Jon

Thank you for your answer ,as having worked with jerseys in the past I know what you mean about their temperament. Jon
So are those bulls one's you breed or do you purchase them?
Enjoy your videos are you in north or south. New Zealand thanks
He is in the North Island of New Zealand.
How much kg of N do you spread a year per hectare over there? Gr from the netherlands

I have never seen 1000 kg bags of Urea where I am. 600 kg is as big as it gets. We use 375 kg bags
We got 57 mm of rain yesterday, but we missed out on a lot of the early December rain
We got around 8-10mm hardly wet the soil
When you send a cow to the works, do they kill them there. what happens to them.
Mcdonalds
Hi Andrew, are you capped on how much Nitrogen fertiliser you are allowed to spread per year.😊
Yep. NZ dairy farmers capped at 190kg N/ha/pa. Most use around 100-150.
i had a bull that i sent back early and it took 2hrs to load him😅
Make sure you don't get any sustain on the back of your head. You should get hair advice from your dad...
