Thank you so much for noticing ☺ I feel that it makes it more personal and shows that I'm going through similar experiences of menopause. I'm also trying to share how I'm using my knowledge of nutrition in a practical way to ease symptoms, instead of just sharing factual information. I hope it's making the videos more interesting and helpful?
@@HolisticMenopauseWellness Absolutely! It really comes through! And it is so much more valuable when you are sharing your experience and the healthy food your are eating. I share a lot of similarities in the lifestyle I have created with exercise, being outdoors in nature and good food. I love your knowledge on the nutrition facts and your have been my guide so many times! What are food to eat at night? Sometimes, once in bed I feel very hungry and I go back to the refrigerator and take whatever I can find: usually is plain yogurt. What do you recommend when we must eat a little something.
Thank you, I'm really happy that the information I share helps you! Well done on being active and being outdoors, it's so important! When it comes to eating at night, I would try to have more protein, healthy fats and fibre rich foods (cruciferous vegetables etc) during the day. That way hopefully you'll be able to last through the night. If you do need something to eat, like you said yogurt (protein) is good, as are nuts, wholemeal toast with butter and nut butter. Hope this helps.
I’ve got wonderful sleep now. Like you I bought an insulin tester and wanted to check why I was waking up in the middle of night I found my bowels were regular once I worked on this I now sleep all night. Ladies make sure you go everyday so important to help flush out estrogen etc.
That's amazing! I've not used a sugar monitor, but I know that I wake up more when I've had too much sugar or carbs. Which is why I eat lots of protein and vegs to help balance blood sugar. What did your sugar monitor show you?
I enjoy your videos and find them very helpful. How do you feel about progesterone cream? I have heard it helps at menopause but I have tried it and felt terrible. Do you think it's needed?
Hi Irene, thanks for your question. Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to give individualised answers. It's really difficult to say why the cream may have made you feel terrible (and what those symptoms are). There's way too many variables to take into consideration, to know why you may have had those reactions. Sorry I can't be of help. It may be worth speaking with your doctor.
Love how personal you get on your videos and we learn through your experience and what works. 🙏 Thank you!
