MONTJUIC, THE JEWISH MOUNTAIN

2023 May 03, Wed, 70°F - A visit to Montjuic Barcelona on a sunny day. On a hilltop commanding panoramic views of Barcelona. Rich in history and culture. Claimed to be the birthplace of Barcelona. The site for the 1929 International Exposition, which led to the construction of the Palau Nacional and the Estadi Olímpic. Also, the venue for the 1992 Summer Olympics. Currently, the home to the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya and Poble Espanyol. Famous for its Magic Fountain, a stunning beauty at night with illuminating lights. Due to severe drought, water had been shut down. After the 1929 exposition, many buildings were demolished, and the Poble Espanyol, a replica of a "Spanish village" survived. It is located on the western side of the hill.
