    Hi, There is an old saying in Tamil language that "Murungaya vechavan verum kaiyya povan" ( The one plants moringa tree will go empty handed) and it actually means that, The one who plants the moringa tree in their house and then consumes the leaves cooked, Drumstick cooked, will never needs a walking stick. He / she can walk freely with no support in his/ her later ages. And it is. The power of moringa Tree.

    Do moringa's tap root go as deep as asparagus? Is that why they have so many nutrients in them?

    My first moringa just came up & I'm so excited! We live in Costa Rica so there won't be a winter problem.....We have a female dog named Charona that is a twin to your guy! She's a nutcase! Fortunately we can always find a job for her ... we're on a large ranch and we have 8 other dogs, but the Queensland is unique!😎🌻Pura Vida🌻

    I am looking to get a Moringa tree and need to know if they would survive in grow zone 8. Can you help. I also found out that the Indians use this tree for many cures.

      Moringa can grow anywhere in USA.. Even if you have snowy winter it will come back after Frost.. You can eat moringa seed pods they are tasty after boiling in water.. Just don't eat raw bcz they are very rich in fiber

    Sorry Jake - The root structure of the Moringa Oleifera is shallow and wide, not deep. Most people think the Moringa has a deep taproot, but it isnt. However with all your wonderful preparation, the trees will look magnificent

    Father God, NOT mother earth. Jesus loves you, why don't you love Him back? Romans 5:6-8 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
    6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

    Hey Jake I bought 25 moringa seeds from you a month or so ago and today I split the outer pods off of all of them and had 15 seeds to grow. I'm super excited to see how many of them produce an amazing tree!!!

    Aren’t black walnut trees alleopathic? Maybe it’s the black walnut that’s preventing your peach tree from thriving. Peaches grow really well in super hot southern weather.

    I love moringa in a smoothie, but I'm not yet to the point of 100% moringa in them yet. I'm going to get a bunch more for shading my fruit trees that barely made it this summer.

    Hey Jake. Love your channel vids. Keep 'em coming. I'm out here in Sonoma County California, and we love our gardening, too! One question I have for you is do the grass roots compete with the moringa that they will eventually strangle out the moringa? Thanks and be well.

    • @SpeakerWiggin49
      @SpeakerWiggin49 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jennifer Gildred If you transplant from a pot, the tree should have what looks like 5 inches radius of just dirt around it. Then in only a few months of growth the moringa root goes straight down deep into earth, so any grass roots will not even be close to the root zone of this hardy tree.

    Really like your videos! Have you tracked how much you spend on your garden as compared to how much you spent on food? Be good to see if it's a cost saving to grow your own food and if so by how much. Fully acknowledging that the pleasures of gardening are priceless!

    I have a trick for you for when transplant like here: use "tulle fabric" that you put inside your pot. When you want to transplant, you just old the fabric completely and lift it. Put the plant inside the fabric and put them in the soil. The roots will pass through in the holes of the tulle fabric!!

    oh jeez...if the soil has been "raped by humans"? You say that with a straight face while literally penetrating the earth for your own benefit? Please tone down that line of rhetoric.

    • @standunitedorfall1863
      @standunitedorfall1863 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just one example out of many..... How do you think the Dust Bowl years came about? From poor farming practices ruining the soil. This has happened all over the earth, even creating deserts. Please do research before speaking nonsense. He is replenishing what the soil is lacking so that it will be alive with microbes, and other living things. Contrary to how factory farming has been doing it for a very long time.

    • @Elitiest_Hitman
      @Elitiest_Hitman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@standunitedorfall1863 5 years ago, when that comment was written, I was talking about the rhetoric used. i.e. "raping the earth". You are talking about something else. Your strawman is dismissed. Please use a dictionary before commenting on concepts you fail to grasp.
