    🌺 Not sure about South Georgia but here in Mississippi it's illegal to have a propane tank that close to a house. Regulations here in Mississippi say that a propane tank MUST be placed at least 8 feet from the home. My son has been working for a propane company for 17 years, I learn a lot along the way, lol! 🌺

    • @throttlebottle5906
      @throttlebottle5906 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah, blower wheel is likely a caked up fur coat just the same! I salvage used blower assemblies to use as garage and construction blowers and many of them are caked up rattling like mad, clean them good and their smooth as new. by seeing whole systems that were changed, I know plenty were just because of a blower rattling!
      if anyone tries using them bare and outside a unit, you'll have to block a large amount of the outlet to control airflow and not over-current the motor! it generally ends up with just over 3/4 of the outlet blocked to get enough static back pressure to be within current range and they move a "ton" of air. build guards to keep fingers/debris out or you'll have a bad time.

    I would have checked for a filter when I saw that indoor coil I went on a no air call the homeowner said she has no filter but when I took the coil door off the airflow got strong so I knew something was blocked in the return crawled under the house and found a filter box about 30 feet from the crawl door inside was a 5 inch thick filter that was dated 11 years prier to the year I was there

    When I bought my house 10 years ago I found something very similar. The lady I bought the house from had 3 cats and a dog. The entire system was plugged up. I ended up having someone come and sweep out the entire system after I cleaned the coils off myself. The amount of stuff they pulled from the ducts was nearly unbelievable. I am fairly certain she was running the system without a filter of any type.

    Curtis, I do enjoy your videos. But I do have a suggestion. It seems like a large portion of the run time is watching you remove and reinstall side panels. If you would consider a bit of editing it would make your videos shorter and more to the point. That could lead to more views and subscribers.
    "Let's look at the coil" (cut to view of coil with panel already removed). "I want to check this capacitor" (skip panel removal and just show cap testing)
    Not a criticism, just a suggestion that might help grow your channel.

    • @lukeh6015
      @lukeh6015 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I reckon he's going just fine, plus editing obviously takes time and effort, my point I guess is u wouldn't really like to be editing ur vids after a hectic days work or on a day off where you could be resting and relaxing etc,
      Just an opinion - I'll shut up now haha

      IDK, having almost 20k subscribers and having really detailed content, and his editing that he clearly already invests a lot of time in and has netted almost 20k subscribers, seems to be working better for him than you seem aware of. just my 2 cents out of billions worldwide. However i feel like if what he was doing was inadequate in any way, he wouldnt have 1/100th of the sub count he currently does.

  • @jthonn
    @jthonn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Wow, that seems to be the big downfall of these package units, dirty coils. They make them where the average guy can't get to them to clean. Amazing how it just pulled back like a blanket, though I have seen that before. Once a year at least you should clean your coils. Evaporators are tough for the average person, so change the filters regularly and you may go for years without having to clean it. It also makes a difference where the air return is located, I find the worst ones are floor level in the kitchen, man don't go a month without changing those. The grime, grease and dirt will clog you up in a hurry.

    I think you have a duplicate section of video. “They’re going up” and hosing off the radiator happens twice.
    Unless you hosed this off EXACTLY the same way twice.

    They need to start putting handles on these units like RTU's have. Seriously was that all hair on the evaporator coil from the dog? Omg; people need to replace their filters itleast once a month with pets.
