My Antec p193 from 2009 is still in service. Everything's in place, nothing is broken. It survived many builds and is still relevant. Now it turns as a server with 12 3.5" HDDs in my garage... What a case. Hope Antec returns with new great products.
I have an antec 1200. A couple of years ago I replaced it with an 011 dynamic evo so that I could get a bigger AIO for cooling, otherwise I would have stayed with the 1200. Now with this case coming onto the market I might be going back to ANTEC cases.
@shugo1047 The only advantage of a smaller form factor is portability and saving space if you need it. Most of the people who want to get a pc aren't thinking of that stuff. They aren't planning to move the PC often and they want it to look good on their desk, which ATX builds do better because big glass side panel RGB oga boga 😅. There is also the fact that matx parts tend to be more expensive (not always ofc), especially the cases. From the perspective of a new builder it's easy to see why a lot of people gravitate towards the standard ATX setup.
@user-ke1gn3ql1g Exactly, When I build Iwant space and not have things cramped together. I want it to look pretty and clean. My CORSAIR 1000D checks all of those boxes and it can't be beat in airflow and in looks. I have more than enough storage for hard drives and ssd drives without feeling the need for extra storage drive cases. I used Antec in the past but I like them as big as my 1000D.
Thanks for shouting out the Antec 900. I still have mine and have used it for years. The 200mm fan in the top was way ahead of its time. With the front and side intake fans it cooled like a frig.
Two water builds on my 1200. It has served me well. My only two nit picks. No mobo tray CPU cut out, and cleaning front filters a royal pain in the ass. My favorite feature is the individually adjustable fans that all still function.
My first Solo personal build years ago was an Antec and I have nothing but good memories of it. And at $179, not in your face RGB with a clean and easy installation? heck yeah!
My first Antec was a 500 or 550w TrueControl PSU with... a 5.25’ panel allowing me to manually adjust voltages! Dual fan, gold coated fan covers. That was dope! Man that was also over 20 years ago...
been using Antec NX200M on a recent build, which is the cheapest M-ATX case they're offering in my country for just $32.THIRTY TWO DOLLARS, with tempered glass, enough cable routing space on the back, good airflow and no sharp edges. which is very surprising for the price, especially compared to many Chinese case brands with similar pricing here
Antec has some great cases, built my son's PC in one... mine is in a Fractal Pop Air... So many great options, and Antec has some great cases at great prices....this one is a bit more spemdy than some I've looked at, but this case looks REALLY NICE!
My first build was a Antec 700 DF. I picked it because it had the bottom fans. I took my 6800xt out of a Alienware that was suffocating it in a dumpster fire. Temps dropped drastically.
Recently bought the Antec C8 for as an upgrade over my NZXT H700 for better airflow, because I went from midrange components to enthusiast level. It is just great! I had no fans with the case (the ARGB version was sadly not available here in Germany, but other than that, it is just great! Airflow and temps is wonderful and it's even quiter, because of the better cooling possibilities.
Antec 900 was the case I used for my first computer build. When I built my next computer, I gave it to my sister...she still has it (although it hardly EVER gets used). I wouldn't mind getting it and doing a retro build with it.
The price point is pretty fair, I bought the H500M in 2019 for £181.02 in Oct 2019, yeah... just before Covid lol... then the prices of everything shot up as everyone needed a PC to work from home. Also long before GPU sag became a "mainstream problem", GPU sag has always been an issue but most people didn't talk about it. The H500M has a GPU arm which can be used to address GPU sag pretty easily. So, yeah it's pretty fair given you get a tonne of space and modularity not to mention the lower fans will certainly help in cooling M.2s as well.
Great case, a bit more than I need, but the non-pro is RIGHT up my street. Exactly what I need. So glad Antec's back in a big way. Typing this sitting next to my Antec One case holding a rather.. outdated system, and a new build has been on my mind for a while. Been looking at cases for price/performance, and these new Flux's are RIGHT up my street. Subtle and classy, but with almost every feature you could ask for, and if you really wanted, could bling it out like crazy if that's your vibe. Sign me up!
I got a Fractal North XL a month or two ago. Extremely happy with it, but I'd probably go for this case for the 420mm top radiator. Glad Antec is back in the game.
Wow... that case is so new, even Antecs website don't know about it... not to mention it isn't known anywhere in Europe ^^ Definitive interesting case, Welcome back Antec, ol' friend from the old days.
Still have my original Antec p182 build running Linux on the almost 20 year old hardware as a spare pc. I even re-capped the motherboard to keep it limping along. PC Hardware manufacturers hate me. 😄
Bought the Antec Performance 1 due to Jays Review. I really love it. The software used to be buggy but that seems to be fixed now. Didn't have problems running corsair icue and msi dragonsth along with it.
I am in love with this case. My first proper gaming case was the Antec 1200 with the big fan on top. Always loved Antec but they are difficult to find here in Norway. I was planning an NV7 or NV9 build but now that thought is gone. I HAVE to get the Antec Flux Pro, its perfect.
I really like this case, I had Antec cases way back in the day. I have a FD Torrent now and love the 2 180 in the front, but I bet those 3 140s would move very close the same amount of air. I would definitely consider this case for my next build.
I think my Performance 1 was about the same price, which is a much larger case. However, this one does have a few features that mine lacks and has a very pleasing anesthetic. I can say they have put a lot of thought into their cases, and I am glad to see them come back. Looking forward to that itx case they showed.
I just bought a C8 case that is very nice... Everything went together without issue and is the first case that had combined plugs for the on/off, reset instead of separate connections for those little connectors
Very cool case. I almost built a new PC with a Antec Nine Hundred but just never got around to it. If I needed a new case now, i would definitely get this. My P500A wont need replacing any time soon though.
As long as this big boi is also good for air cooling then i am sold. It would go perfectly with my already wood themed setup and walnut wood desk,, and black/brown noctua fans etc. I don't think i have a single item on my desk that is not black or brown, except for the router so i would love this case for a air build with the option of easily going water if i ever choose to do so. I do fear big cases most of the time because even large parts, not regarding water cooling stuff may still seem a tad empty but as jay said. It's basically like a sleek, sexy, piece of furniture i would love to have on my desk for that professional look.
I picked out an Antec case for a workstation PC for my old job because it was one of the few that didn’t have RGB thrown up upon it and didn’t have a glass/plexi door. Fit my old Maximus V Formula mobo with no problem and was super quiet with the included fans. Good to see them coming out with good adult cases!
Speaking of the old Antec 900, while going through some boxes in storage today I found the giant 200mm fan that I had taken out of my old case and had turned into a desk fan!
I like Antec and that seems like a great value, but these days it's dual chamber or bust for me. I think their C8? is what the one I like is called. Also, I can't overstate how much of a difference putting two 140mm fans in the bottom of a case can make- Having that fresh air blowing directly into a GPU with a normal/ horizontal mount doesn't only cool the GPU, it also cools the rest of the case (including my top mount AIO).
I have a fractal design S with a double thickness 360 rad on the front with push pull and a 360 normal thickness rad on the top with only 2 fans to allow space for fittings and pipes to get to the front rad. Remember you dont have to populate all fan positions in your pc. The extra meat of the radiator will still transfer heat from the passive air movement.
You should do a water cooled build in this with two 420mm radiators and one 240mm radiator in the bottom. I had an old Antec 1200 case back in the past, and that was the first case that I built into for myself back when I was in high school. This case cost as much as I paid for my Lian Li O11 Dynamic, but I actually enjoy this one more
I feel personally attacked as I sit beside my HYTE Y60 littered with LEDs 🤣 Love the features this case has, especially that unique hard drive chassis that can mount to any 120mm fan mount. That's the kind of innovation that you can move into other cases when they aren't using proprietary parts.
Was not expecting that price point. I think it's a great value considering how much it includes. There are definitely a lot of cases out there charging more and giving less.
Professional Woodworker here: There is no way to completely avoid wood warping. Even perfectly kiln dried and sealed, moisture will still permeate and cause warping. Ive made tabletops with kiln dried lumber with up to 20 layers of polymer lacquer to seal them and still saw some warping, because some lumber just has a lot of internal stress. With such small pieces it shouldn't be too big an issue in most cases. But especially if the sheet metal is thin and flat and the wood is glued in, a lot of these wood accent cases are going to see some minor bowing/cupping due to the woods moisture expansion.
I've had my Antec DF700 For over 2 years now. Space for a 360mm aio, 7 fans, basement for your PSU and a slot for a LCD panel next to the power supply.. IMHO, One of the most slept on cases on the market that are SUB 100 bucks.
I still have an Antec case in use for one of my servers that I built over a decade ago; one of my favorite cases! This new case looks awesome, glad to see more from them!
Considering what you are getting this seems like a bargin. 6 fans, 4 of which are huge, make this a steal. You're getting a $100 case with $90 worth of fans. I can only imagine how awesome an aircooled system would be. That level of air flow would be sick to see.
I was looking at the announcement of this case back then and I was curious about it. Have been looking for a case that I can swap my old case out with. This one looks like it is fitting the build plus it matches my walnut custom desk :)
The wood theme definitely can give off a more mature aesthetic, but as I recall your last episode was a series of poop jokes, I don't think you have to worry about being too mature for RGB
I LOVED my Antec 300 - used it for close to 10 years and 3 generations of CPU/PC upgrades. It still sitting in storage. I would gladly go back to them for my next case...once I'm tired of my Lian Li 216 Lancool. Cheers!
I like Antec cases. For my wife I got her a case that is clean, no rgb and simple. She says "its fine" but it now needs an update for USB 3/4. The case looks like the 900 but I don't remember the name anymore. My middle son has another Antec case the DF-85 (was mine years ago), all of the Antec fans in the front have all got dust in the fan bearings so they squeak, still works just fine otherwise. This new case is very nice and for 175, it seems to be worth it.
Antec has been making some banger cases lately! I have the new C5 case just waiting to be built. Need to acquire some guts for it over the next few weeks. Just a quick note for those who are new to PC building.... A bulldozer is NOT an appropriate tool to take out thumb-screws.
I'm the guy behind the guy who raised the hand. The estute (?) one. Love the PSU implementation. Can't wait for this to arrive in Greece as (since 2018) time for me to upgrade my case.
Jay: "Obvious way to get to know a case is to build in it!" This is quite literally the first build you've done in a case review video in all of 2024 Jay!!!
i have Antec case, there are not alot of companys out there that still making pc cases with drive bays for blu-ray or dvd drivers now. i just checked there site an they still have them on there site for sale. i love my case very easy to work with!!
Hi Jay, I still have my Antec 900 case. I couldn't bring myself to toss it out. It is such a lovely case, I should build in it again and put it back in service. Antec was ahead of the curve, lets hope they can regain their former glory. So far I like what I have seen from them. Cheers.
I had an Antec 1200 v3 I bought back in 2012 and for the past 12 years it has been the only PC component I never had to replace. This year I made a completely new build and I replaced the Antec 1200 with a Thermaltake Core V71 case. I used the old 1200 case to build my niece a gaming PC. That 1200 is going to be used for way more years to come.
The Antec 900 is an all-time classic. I built and re-built in that for a VERY long time... only stopping because I went SFF. If Antec reissued that with modern cabling, I'd buy one again.
This is nice. I remember building old school AMD Barton and or P3's and 4. Antec was the only game around with high end power supplies. Bought many of em.
Brings back memories. I actually still have my Antec Nine Hundred and I have 1 P183 and 3 P182 cases that I got from an office(complete with ps, floppy and cdrw). Those are nice cases.
I still have their P101 case, one of the very few cases that featured silence as well as offering an optical drive bay. So cool they're back! The front reminds me a lot of a speaker cabinet for a record player. Absolutely love that as a music nerd as well. Definitely want this case!
As someone who just replaced their original P180... I wish more cases had the sandwich side-panels. Still the easiest to work with and the best dampening ever. Oh and their silicone hdd mounts are still working and still are better than all, including be quiet and fractal design. The iShift is nice, as well as the front shift, precisely my problem with my be quiet 802 case. 8 slots is great, same there is no dedicated vert mount next to them!
Thank you for doing a full build in the Antex case. Tbh it's always a little bit of a let down when you do a case review and just talk about it's features. I appreciate you going the extra mile of doing a full build and giving us your opinion. I know it's a lot of extra work and may cost more money to produce the video but regardless, I still get much more excited for a case video when you do full build. Thanks Jay, Phil, and Nick!!!
Jay, I'm watching this vid on a machine built in an Antec P180. 😉 Back when the P180 was new and available at places like CompUSA (where I bought mine), retail cost was $190 USD. This is well placed in the market stack. Good to see that they've followed up on what is my favorite PC case of the past.
I had an Antec 900 and I HATED that case with a passion. I bought that one because my best friend had it and liked it. I chose it over the NZXT Phantom (several years later I bought a used Phantom and wished I would have bought it from the start).
I had an Antec case or two back in the day where everything was beige. It was a brand that delivered a really good price to performance for the "casual enthusiast."
I still have my Antex SX1030b in my basement that I was using up until last year. I will probably hold on to that case forever as a display piece just because of how much Antec meant in the late 90s - early 2000s and how good it felt when you could afford to build with their products.
Great video and awesome case, Jay! At that price it's a bargain and I love the idea of going back to the time when RGB wasn't being pushed on us. Antec definitely had awesome cases back in the days and I used one on my home setup for many years. Can't remember the exact model but it was like 10-12 years ago. I could install everything I wanted with plenty of room left, even with my custom water cooling setup (CPU and GPU), 2x 3.5" HDDs, 2x 2.5" SSDs and 2 optical drives. Absolutely no modding needed.
Just finished my constellation c8 build :) nice case, looks good, easy to build in, very spacious and doesnt cost as much as every other fish tank case...
I have a Black Hyte Y60 case right now and I want to keep it (as my Gaming Rig and it's all water cooled) but I am working on a new Content Creation PC build (currently in planning phase) and this Case really checks all the boxes for having a 2nd water cooled PC that looks as beautiful as the Top End Parts that will go into it. As far as RGB, I could go with none or just a subtle strip that just adds a touch of light on the interior which wouldn't be too gaudy in my opinion. Cheers! Stay Healthy and Stay sane!
Whoops... at the start I said "Antec PC" when I meant to say "Antec Case"...
Whoops
I guess you could say this is a WOOD-tastic video
I want Antec PC ;) it's all good we be human, it happens! Unless you are not 🤔!
Way to go Jay, you misspoke and now the whole video is unwatchable.

Love that case I still have it as well on my old system
Only things that really change a case are standards, and aesthetics. e.g. beige or stand cases.
@@brodriguez11000 Cooling and noise considerations, too.

Before anyone complains about the size, there IS a smaller mid-tower version of this case. You don't have to get this one is you feel it's too big.
Meh, too big, I have a 1000D CORSAIR. Puny cases step aside.
There is so much air flow that it cools me down when it's hot.
No such thing as "too big" especially with GPU's using Cinder block-sized coolers.
@@shugo1047 Yeah I'm not getting rid of my 7000D so I'm not convinced.

Antec still loves their full size cases. I'm still using my Antec900 well over a decade later.
Great work Jay + Phil!
Considering what you are getting this seems like a bargin. 6 fans, 4 of which are huge, make this a steal. You're getting a $100 case with $90 worth of fans. I can only imagine how awesome an aircooled system would be. That level of air flow would be sick to see.
The a5 argb also comes with 7 fans for $130. Not noctua levels of quiet but look good and with a custom curve can be quiet
To fill up a Corsair 5000X with iCue fans it's more like 300 bucks (just the fans, then another 180 for the case).
I was looking at the announcement of this case back then and I was curious about it. Have been looking for a case that I can swap my old case out with. This one looks like it is fitting the build plus it matches my walnut custom desk :)
Used to have an Antec PSU and it was great
Still using a 5 year old antec 700w psu.
I've still have my old Antec PSU from like 2000/2001 era... obviously I don't use it now but nice to still have a memory from my old pc days
@@Fizzer99 I had a Antec HCG-620 and last time i checked it still worked.
My old Antec P180 still lives on to this day as a file server case hehe
Gonna be really hard not to tempt myself into getting this case for my new build in about a year lol
The wood theme definitely can give off a more mature aesthetic, but as I recall your last episode was a series of poop jokes, I don't think you have to worry about being too mature for RGB
My Antec p160 with side window from 2003 is still used .. it even has 1/3 of RGB :)
I also used Antec cases back in 1998-2003 time. I like this case thank you Jay for the review.
I LOVED my Antec 300 - used it for close to 10 years and 3 generations of CPU/PC upgrades. It still sitting in storage. I would gladly go back to them for my next case...once I'm tired of my Lian Li 216 Lancool. Cheers!
I am so glad to see Antec come back i loved there cases and power supplies
fantastic price. but the my balls dropped 30 years ago comment had me rolling,, so yeah, i still have a juvenile sense of humor lmao
The smaller non PRO version being 120 bucks is crazy!
I am glad Antec is coming back. I am running the old Antec 900 case right now. It keeps going, and going, and going...
I still have my Antec 900 case running as my media pc and love it. Its been over 14 years and still works fine, even the fans still work great.
Jay: "Obvious way to get to know a case is to build in it!"
This is quite literally the first build you've done in a case review video in all of 2024 Jay!!!
i have Antec case, there are not alot of companys out there that still making pc cases with drive bays for blu-ray or dvd drivers now. i just checked there site an they still have them on there site for sale. i love my case very easy to work with!!
Members + 👀I was staff there.
I just found it on Amazon for $119.99 it'll be here Thursday! It was a link from the manufacture website.
I still have their P101 case, one of the very few cases that featured silence as well as offering an optical drive bay. So cool they're back! The front reminds me a lot of a speaker cabinet for a record player. Absolutely love that as a music nerd as well. Definitely want this case!
I used an antec 1200 case for a NAS with 12 hard drives in it. Antec's had some good stuff in the past, glad to see they're back
As someone who just replaced their original P180...
8 slots is great, same there is no dedicated vert mount next to them!
thank you for the 90 degree adapter comment. I was considering putting my inwin on my retro and getting this for my x570 aorus xtreme
34.99 for a tshirt i love the channel but scalper prices 24.99 maybe.
Back when the P180 was new and available at places like CompUSA (where I bought mine), retail cost was $190 USD. This is well placed in the market stack.
Good to see that they've followed up on what is my favorite PC case of the past.
Glad to see them back and this reminds me of the old days of Antec, had the P182 and 900 loved them both!
Yes! My first PC build was with the Antec 900, and then my next was the P182.
I love my Antec DF 700 Flux case, most air flow I've ever had for any tower.
I just transferred my pc parts from Corsair 220t to recently released Antec C7 black version. The king is back, baby!
