This probably sounds condescending, but that's not how I meant it. TH-cam video quality and 30fps makes it harder to see, but the hit is there.

You may say that this song's slower than their usual stuff, but playing constant double bass at 190BPM for 4 minutes, plus the tempo shift to 220BPM @ 2:20 is definitely no joke!
Yeah, it seems slower for Nile, but this is a warm up for George. Kolias is just incredible, with not just his speed, but he is so precise.. Writing something this is difficult enough on it's own, but to cover this

I doubt Alex needs to recover. The answer is right in the video. Rewatch and listen to the tonal differences of the cymbals on his right and on the left. The is more likely the reason he switches sides in this video. To keep the blast going AND choosing to hit different sounding cymbals, it makes sense to switch rather than cross over. It could also be a visual thing but being that he is considered ambidextrous ...well...rewatch it

I'm a guitarist, but I have to say the snare-pattern in the "chorus" is the riff I'm always listening for the most...it elevates the whole song to another level.
Amazing. The cymbals were utilized perfectly and sounded great. Finger technique on the ride bell at that speed with that much power. Drums also had a good tone. I could go on and on. Flawless high speed double bass for the entirety of the song, and it was a really cool song on top of all that!!! BRAVO.
