i got a good deal on hobart 6013. the lower amp required will come in handy because i don't have a fancy welder

Most countries don't have a problem using 6013s because their formula is different these days. Most countries also build bridges with those electrodes.

Those hobart 6013 are made by selectrode and the tensile rating is way up there, and to me they act like a hybrid cross between a 6011 and 6013

I believe that 6013s are hybrid these days. They may not be straight rutile rods. Straight rutile doesn't actually penetrate.
If your 6013 smells like a 6010 and penetrates differently, than the flux might be hybrid or diverse.

Never heard of Golden bridge and just started seeing the Forney brand since I been watching TH-cam videos the golden bridge looked more like a braze then a weld to me but nice comparison I did see Blue Devil rods was pretty inexpensive for a 5 pound box but haven't had a chance to try those or 2 out of 3 here noce comparison

Hey guy, that golden bridge is an E6020 iron oxide coating electrode, NOT E6013 as marked. . E6020 became E6027 here in the states they added iron powder to it in 1950's {JETWELD} THE old 6020's are marketed as deep penetrationwelding and cutting electrode. That rod is marked incorrectly IMHO.
