your gums shrink as time goes by.. what's the point of reproducing a denture that likely no longer fits correctly?
Your right Danielle but all the fit. If it was me I would (1) cut a piece of Glad Cling wrap slightly bigger than the upper denture. This will be used to keep the putty mix that goes inside the denture in step 2 to not touch the tissue in the mouth to insure the ingredients of the putty doesn't irritate the tissue since some putty's can be used in the mouth and some can't putting the cling wrap over the putty will act as a separator between the putty and the tissue . (2) after the cling

I watched this video and have one question: To make the mold, is it possible to get one that is longer around? I have a long back bite and that seems to be my problem. They only make it for a certain size around the jaw and it doesn't work for me. I have a larger size measurement.

Main reasons why patients want new dentures is because their old set is ill fitting, meaning that they are LOOSE. With time your gums shrink and creates a gap between your gums and the denture, no longer function as well as they should.
This kit will NOT work if you want your dentures to fit properly since they are only duplicating your old set that no longer FIT properly. This kit cannot measure the gap between your gum and the denture, therefore the new dentures will NOT fit properly,
You could get a new fitting kit and do your own fitting without teeth.
wrap is cut and ready take a equal part if some of the putty just enough to put a thin layer into the inside of the upper denture just slightly covering all the pink place the cling wrap over the putty . put the denture in your mouth and bite down making sure your denture hits on your lower teeth just like it did before you put the putty in .Its a good Idea to look at your denture teeth and even mark a place or two on the teeth to make sure its in the same place once the putty has been added.
Inside the denture and do what the video has you do from the beginning of the video .Once you put the top putty mix on like its shows in the video and you separate the top from the bottom and take your denture out ,you can through away the thin layer you put inside the denture . It will just peal out . Tha'ts what I would do if it was me to make sure I got back a denture that fit like a new one would. If it was me I would ask this lab to send me a little extra putty to do the reline steps .
True I would not do that I prefer to go to a dentist!
(3) once the putty has set up you can then take out the lower denture leaving the upper in your mouth and do the same thing on the lower denture making sure your teeth are in the same place and your biting in the place.once the lower denture putty has set up . you can take them both out. (4) what you just did is what 's called a reline you have the way your tissue is now and once made will fit like a new denture and not be ill fitting like Danielle has pointed out. (5) now put the Vaseline

+Karen Carroll, he probably does not make them himself. They are most likely from a dental supply such as this one. goodfit.com He should be more honest. If you look at his sales and turn around times, and the fact he says he does it himself with no staff, this is your answer. I'm sure there is work involved, but it's not what people think. Watch the videos. Sadly, the materials at cost are around a 100 bucks, excluding the impression molds. Nothing against the guy personally, I'm all for free enterprise, but I just don't like the fact he lets everyone think each one is handcarved by him, because that would be impossible. Just sayin'.

What he's doing is taking an impression of the old denture.People get new dentures because the old dentures don't fit and are worn out.Doing it this way you are getting a denture which is the same as the old one that didn't fit.This has scam written all over it. Don't get fooled.
