Another great video guys. It won't be long before I'm out there exploring myself. My house is sold and I pick up my new van on Friday. I can't wait. Now, if I could just find myself a Steve to follow me around and say "Aye" every once in a while, I'd be a very happy man!
Oh that's brilliant news, how exciting 😍 We remember that feeling well of getting our van, not knowing the future and just driving around to our hearts content originally (until we then quickly had to figure out work etc 😂). 3years! Not forgetting 107 videos! Well done and thank you both. You have given a lot of joy to your viewers and give us something to look forward to on a Sunday. Our sat nag does EXACTLY the same .... single track lanes as it thinks it is quicker as they are 60mph roads.....it's always squeaky bum time hoping no burly farmer is cummin the other way.. We so agree that the little UK has such a lot to see and so varied. We are currently camped up in stunning Inverewe waiting for storm Ashley to hit shortly and give us a good Amber warning blow....just a bit of wind he said! We made sure to not park under any trees. 10K!!! 10K!!!! It will be half marathon next year... Definitly working though. Keep it up. All the best until next time....

Yes the sat nav never seems to consider that a smaller road will inevitably be slower and more difficult, I have to keep a close eye out now when Stephen's driving, and I nearly always have to change it as we go. Stephen has the body type to beef up but you should rock your current physique! 😊I appreciate those moments in the van when we can just talk or joke around together. It's not always essential to be out and about. I love hearing your insights, particularly as it starts to get colder. You have to enjoy the moments you have and let the future be that. And that's very kind of you to say about our bodies 🙏 Honestly though, since this video, the weights have barely been touched, again 😂 We go to work, so then we don't or can't do it there, we visit family, so we don't do it there. But, once we're out exploring again properly, I think they'll see more use. You're right though, Stephen definitely has the type of physique to bulk up - I'm not sure my body will ever look vastly different because I'm fairly tall and lanky 😂 But it does wake up some muscles that otherwise don't really get used, so it'll probably be a good thing to bring out the weights every so often. I'm pleased you enjoy the little talking moments- as you say, it's not realistic to be out filming our exploring all the time, so we try to show our life inside the van, too. Good morning, great to see you both again. I love how much you both appreciate this wonderful country we call home. We are on a small campsite in Norfolk at the moment (£12 per night with electricity) and I was talking to a fellow caravanner here yesterday who has been Caravanning for 50 years and was saying he and his wife (both in their 80s) still have so much more to see here in the UK. That small peninsula on the Llyn Peninsula looked really lovely. As for keeping fit , it is so important to have some strength training as you get older. Well done Steve doing 10k - I think I should start running but where we live is so hilly - so that is my excuse. Stay well, safe and happy both of you. ❤️❤️
Morning Irene, wow you've moved quite a bit further south! Norfolk is beautiful, we especially enjoyed it in winter weirdly enough. The skies are unbelievable. That sounds a good deal for a campsite. A good thing too, considering how hard it is to park in Norfolk 😂 50 years of caravanning and still loads to see, that says it all doesn't it! How lovely they've been doing that for so long. It does seem like you get a buzz for life with this kind of travel. Strength training is definitely important to use some muscles as we age, that's why I wanted to balance out the running a bit, and we keep telling my mum to do some very minor lifts/stretches too to keep things functioning. I'm not sure she listens mind 😂 Hope you have a great time in Norfolk and get some decent weather up there, take care ❤️

Morning Ilona, aaah I really wanted to go to Portmeirion, but I must admit, we were both a bit taken aback by the £20 each price, as we couldn't really work out what that got you and how much there was to see exactly. It does look very pretty though. It just seemed an awful lot. However, there is a campsite there that costs about £55 a night with all services, BUT it gets you two tickets into Portmeirion. So still a lot, but it means a campsite stay is about 15 quid, so one day we might go back and try it that way. Yes, the weather is playing its "throw random dart blindfolded" routine again, it varies a great deal. We walked with my mum into Broadstairs yesterday from Ramsgate in gale force winds and rain, so that was an experience 🙈😂 Take care and have a lovely week, hope you get some dry days ❤️
Hi Steve hi Dan first of all Dan you’re gorgeous as you are you don’t need to be up secondly we want to take our motorhome to Broadstairs in Kent but haven’t got a clue if there are any places by the beach you could recommend we have a large motorhome so have to be able to park it. Morning Paul, thank you for those kind words, that's very sweet of you and I do appreciate it ❤️ Neither of us feel pressured to change much though, just a general fitness thing. The weights have gone back to sleep recently as it goes 😂🙈 Hmm, Broadstairs. I think there is a car park behind the town somewhere you might be able to fit in, or one outside of Broadstairs a little further along the coast, at Joss Bay, that allows motorhomes (I don't know how big the spaces are though). I think both are about £11 for 24 hours or a night, not sure. It is generally quite hard around this area. Because we are so small, we usually park ours in a regular car park or on the road outside my mum's if we're lucky, and stay with her a few days (not that she has the room, but she enjoys us being there and of course we love to see her). There's probably some campsite options, too. And you can easily jump on The Loop bus which runs constantly between Ramsgate/Broadstairs/Margate so you can visit all 3. The places I mentioned are on park4night, so perhaps have a look and google satellite view the areas to see what you think or if they're big enough. We were in Broadstairs yesterday, I would have checked out that car park for you if I'd known 🙂 We might drive by the Joss Bay one later, if we do I'll let you know. @@comealongdear Yes doing ok thankyou, now that I have a new supply of melatonin. I dont have any trouble getting to sleep but sometimes staying asleep can be an issue. If you have have that problem I buy mine from iherb, its called Natrol Melatonin 5mg. We cant buy it here 🤷♂but iHerb can send it from USA. Its a naturally occuring chemical that we sometimes lack. Oh yes I do buy a lot of lottery tickets hoping to become rich enough to get the bucket list sorted. I hope it happens before I am too old, death is more likely than riches. lol Best wishes to you both.
We keep on dreaming don't we, we buy those lottery tickets too, that might be what's needed to extend this long-term van jaunt of ours 😂 (though, of course, we appreciate we are lucky to have managed to do any of this at all). Ah melatonin, yes I suspect that would help a lot. Staying asleep is more the issue I (Dan) have, too, though lately it's been OK. Depending how worried/anxious I am affects it more I find. It seems you can't buy it here either, but you can get it on prescription. Not sure why - you can buy various over the counter sleeping pills, but not melatonin apparently 🤷♂️ Is it helping you stay asleep then? @@comealongdear Older mans bladder and a cat who prefers being outdoors at night and likes wandering in for biscuits every few hours with the occasional prrrrow as he passes my pillow make for interrupted sleeping. I thought you might have fitful sleep in laybys with all the dogging noises.🐕Americans are generally drugged to the gills it seems, so melatonin is just candy to them. I take a small does lyrica for nerve pain from shingles and no alcohol but some quality chocolate. Boring old bugger hey, takes all types. 🥂
Quality chocolate sounds just as good as alcohol, without the hangover to boot 😉 I have, since I was young as far as I remember, nearly always had a weak bladder that rings its alarm several times in the night. Might just be normal for me, but I do wonder if it will cause problems later on down the line. Hopefully the melatonin allows for a more restful night more regularly at least, despite the cat's attempt at otherwise. Laybys are surprisingly boring here with not too much of that going on 😂 Usually deserted, maybe the odd trucker or van. There are a few, mind, and it's certain car parks that really see the action. Maybe we'll do a video on it one day 😂

Morning Ilona, aaah I really wanted to go to Portmeirion, but I must admit, we were both a bit taken aback by the £20 each price, as we couldn't really work out what that got you and how much there was to see exactly. It does look very pretty though. It just seemed an awful lot. However, there is a campsite there that costs about £55 a night with all services, BUT it gets you two tickets into Portmeirion. So still a lot, but it means a campsite stay is about 15 quid, so one day we might go back and try it that way.
Yes, the weather is playing its "throw random dart blindfolded" routine again, it varies a great deal. We walked with my mum into Broadstairs yesterday from Ramsgate in gale force winds and rain, so that was an experience 🙈😂 Take care and have a lovely week, hope you get some dry days ❤️
Hi Steve hi Dan first of all Dan you’re gorgeous as you are you don’t need to be up secondly we want to take our motorhome to Broadstairs in Kent but haven’t got a clue if there are any places by the beach you could recommend we have a large motorhome so have to be able to park it. Hmm, Broadstairs. I think there is a car park behind the town somewhere you might be able to fit in, or one outside of Broadstairs a little further along the coast, at Joss Bay, that allows motorhomes (I don't know how big the spaces are though). I think both are about £11 for 24 hours or a night, not sure. It is generally quite hard around this area. Because we are so small, we usually park ours in a regular car park or on the road outside my mum's if we're lucky, and stay with her a few days (not that she has the room, but she enjoys us being there and of course we love to see her). There's probably some campsite options, too. And you can easily jump on The Loop bus which runs constantly between Ramsgate/Broadstairs/Margate so you can visit all 3.
The places I mentioned are on park4night, so perhaps have a look and google satellite view the areas to see what you think or if they're big enough. We were in Broadstairs yesterday, I would have checked out that car park for you if I'd known 🙂 We might drive by the Joss Bay one later, if we do I'll let you know.

@@comealongdear Yes doing ok thankyou, now that I have a new supply of melatonin. I dont have any trouble getting to sleep but sometimes staying asleep can be an issue. If you have have that problem I buy mine from iherb, its called Natrol Melatonin 5mg. We cant buy it here 🤷♂but iHerb can send it from USA. Its a naturally occuring chemical that we sometimes lack. Oh yes I do buy a lot of lottery tickets hoping to become rich enough to get the bucket list sorted. I hope it happens before I am too old, death is more likely than riches. lol Best wishes to you both.
We keep on dreaming don't we, we buy those lottery tickets too, that might be what's needed to extend this long-term van jaunt of ours 😂 (though, of course, we appreciate we are lucky to have managed to do any of this at all).
Ah melatonin, yes I suspect that would help a lot. Staying asleep is more the issue I (Dan) have, too, though lately it's been OK. Depending how worried/anxious I am affects it more I find.
It seems you can't buy it here either, but you can get it on prescription. Not sure why - you can buy various over the counter sleeping pills, but not melatonin apparently 🤷♂️ Is it helping you stay asleep then? @@comealongdear Older mans bladder and a cat who prefers being outdoors at night and likes wandering in for biscuits every few hours with the occasional prrrrow as he passes my pillow make for interrupted sleeping. I thought you might have fitful sleep in laybys with all the dogging noises.🐕Americans are generally drugged to the gills it seems, so melatonin is just candy to them. I take a small does lyrica for nerve pain from shingles and no alcohol but some quality chocolate. Boring old bugger hey, takes all types. 🥂
Quality chocolate sounds just as good as alcohol, without the hangover to boot 😉 I have, since I was young as far as I remember, nearly always had a weak bladder that rings its alarm several times in the night. Might just be normal for me, but I do wonder if it will cause problems later on down the line. Hopefully the melatonin allows for a more restful night more regularly at least, despite the cat's attempt at otherwise.
Laybys are surprisingly boring here with not too much of that going on 😂 Usually deserted, maybe the odd trucker or van. There are a few, mind, and it's certain car parks that really see the action. Maybe we'll do a video on it one day 😂
