Hope your dad’s knee is ok, I winced when the shockie fell 😫 It’s got to feel better now, that broken spring was a surprise. Dont think your wasting money, its served you pretty well.
Brilliant, you are showing me all my future jobs 😂 ... it's annoying, the original parts are so hard to find now, I really never want to get a rig of mine, so if you still enjoy it , it's worth it 👌 take care, guys 🙏🙂
Hubnut will be suing for copyright infringement LOL on a serious note broken spring at rear was dangerous as that could throw off your steering at higher speeds causing a crash so glad you spotted it before going on any fast roads
Back at our local Lidl today John and there was a couple putting the shopping in a Smart (mhd?) so I went over they didn't know of you so I told them you had two and put them on to your YT channel ......... thats 3 people in Lidl carpark who are Smart drivers I have put onto you now - I am on missionary work here on your behalf mate lol.
The 451 is pretty much finished now project wise. Need to sort the roof and we're done! It's my current daily driver and have covered 2000 miles since April ☺️
Jon - I have a 451 Brabus which will likely be needing some suspension components soon - do you know if the components on a Brabus suspension are different than those on the standard 451, and if so, are they still available from Mercedes?
@@EricSmith-hd1wk from my research they may be different - best bet is to speak to MB - I have a contact called Ryan at Listers Mercedes Boston if you wanted to drop him a call
That cheapo exhaust did look all twisted and iffy from the start…. shame to let the car down after learning a lesson replacing the terrible bargain front springs…. spend a bit more to make the effort worthwhile….
I've had exhausts that were three times the price of this one for it that were worse! I know it needed a bit of fettling BUT i do trust the BM catalyst ones as the old one lasted really well. I'd love to be able to spend a bit more on them ... Need more people to keep watching the videos to fund it ;) That's your afternoon sorted eh 😛
When it comes to ForTwo 450 exhaust there is a choice of a few different cheap after-market ones, second hand original ones in varying stages of rust and a couple of _very_ expensive performance exhausts made by some Smart specialists which tend to be quite noisy. Spending more money here isn't necessarily going to help.
Thanks for watching folks! Next video sees us tackle the front anti roll bar links and the NS lower arm. ☺️
My 450 just passed it's MOT after spending quite a bit of time off the road, almost forgot just how much fun it is to drive!
Ah brilliant news! Enjoy
Great video, you two seem very lucky with the weather for working outside on a car. Typical bank holiday here in Cheshire, it's raining.
Thanks for watching Paul. Got to make hay whilst the sun shines 😂

Well done Jon and Pete a massive job done there and will improve ride and handling no end you are both legends
Thanks Daniel
I reckon Jon should gets some “merch” with mugs and t-shirts reading “we’re not wasting our time then”.
🤣🤣 I noticed it's becoming an unofficial catchphrase

Any chance you could set up a Rent-A-Dad division? I wish we had someone like him here. Great video, as always ~ Elton
That sounds like a collaboration video if I ever heard one ...UKBF find a field of abandoned cars. Dad gets them running in an afternoon ☺️
@@JonCoupland- he’d be walking on water afterwards, if he got our latest ones running 😂

As the number plate ends 'OAT' I hereby challenge you to grow and harvest a crop of oats with nothing except the Agri Buggy....
How are you getting on with the 451

Brake pipe to the hub looking abit crusty 😲 on driver side atleast....
Thankfully surface only. They have been replaced recently ☺️
Are they good investment? Diesel for a delivery jobs
We see a lot being used for delivery - escpecially the diesel ones - id say they are the new Nissan Micra
@ so as long as they’re with low mileage it’s okay to risk it right?
Not sure how long I have been watching your vids, but I've only just realised the significance of your registration plate. Sigh.
🤣 caught up though eventually
Jon - hey buddy, how about breaking down and buying your dad some knee pads!
He's got some! And a stool. But will he use it?! No 😂
