In my 56 years as a musician of various styles, I have never enjoyed a piece of music more than the one I just heard. Beside the talent and the understated joy, there was a perfect balance throughout the song.
Great music, great rememberings....I bought your cd in Doolin music shop, the girl at the desk told us your cd was one of the best of the new "wave" of trad irish music....it was! I used some of your songs for one of my videos....great music guys! Your cd is a little masterpiece.
Great playing - a real treat to find on St.Patrick's Day. The 1st is "The Oaktree", the 2nd "The Laurel Tree", but I can't recall the name of the 3rd reel, although I have heard it. Anyone ?
Not a guitarist, but I do know that many trad guitarists tune to DADGAD and a few other weird tunings. Best bet may be to follow the bass note of each chord and go from there.

Sometimes you are stumbling over a rock and when you look closer, it's a fucking diamond. Man, I love these musicians.
Ireland is my heart and soul. How do I know?
This music pulls me up and out of my soul.. Soaring across the sky, my wee difficulties so far below..

Ah I didn't consider alternate tunings, thanks!
The Oak Tree, by Tommy Peoples I think.

If I close my eyes I hear echoes of the Bothy Band. :)

The Laurel Tree.
Does anyone know what sort of chords the guitarist is playing there, can't quite make it out :)

Is "Tree Reels" how the Irish pronounce "Three Reels"? :)
cyrusp100 Trí would mean Three. Crann is tree.
It would be if they were Irish
