I've seen alot of these tutorials I guess we can call them. And this guy voice is super calming and he definitely breaks everything down to where I can understand and he didn't confuse what he was teaching. I enjoyed watching this and will definitely watch more. Thanks.
Great videos, they have been really helpful. It would be great to see the process that you omitted in 11.15- 11.30 in cleaning the line art for the head.

@@HelloHiHola Yay, thanks! 😀 You sound jolly and young at heart, it's fun learning from your tutorials. Thanks again for the information and also for giving interest in my music! (I'm also an illustrator & designer in case you're wondering what I'm doing here..)
I am very new to digital art. I've been approaching it in a similar manner to traditional art. I realized I could make things a lot easier for myself with layering, and this video has helped me understand how to utilize that a lot better. thank you for posting! I have one question, do you know if it is possible to save selections similar to how it is done in Photoshop?
Great comment and good luck with your efforts! I don't think there's a graceful way to save selections here. There's a clipboard that copies what's in the selection and I suspect a strange hack would be to make a brush out of your selection but that could be problematic later. The editing features are the Achilles heel for IP at the moment.
Where medibang folder layer tool (in photoshop it's called group layer) For manage multiple layer, not just with clipping I can't find it in infinite painter
When I color and I don't want a color to color over a line how do I stop that lile when I'm doing line art and I try to color it colors over the line even if I change layer
Coloring inside the lines is an eternal challenge! But you might look into mask layers and then color on a layer beneath the line art. 💡 What would you name that tutorial?
I'm not sure what "hold" might mean; I have no programs that do that. If you mean grouping layers, Android devices don't support that yet but docs can tell you how for iOS devices.
Is there a way to save an image to use later on a canvas? For example leaves & flowers, I draw individual stems of everything 1st then put them into bqts later by duplicating the image or at least thats my goal....
@@valentinabonura7199 I've been able to "Click and drag" with my finger on the layer previews. If you click and drag them into the workspace, you access a whole shelf with a few extra layer commands.
You can stack layers for clipping. The property seems to parent upward with no limit but that's just a guess. The maker's website _finally_ has an awfully good manual online now (wasn't there at the time of recording). I turned to it last night and found answers to tough questions. It's worth checking it out.
@@HelloHiHola I guess I gotta wait for mine to function well haha I now have pixelated layers from time to time but I still use the app because it has the best brushes out there for me hehe thanks for reading and responding to my comment ^_^
Wow. The one thing I wanted to see, saving line art without a back ground, you FINALLY get to, and I think "Here it is!!!", but then you just skip past the acual steps you used and come back to it after you've done it. I learned nothing.
Understandably. The background isn't a layer in the context of this video but it's a good quest you're on. Exporting art as a PNG file will give you the chance to preserve transparency. To the best of my knowledge, that's the only file type offering the option to omit the background/canvas.

I'm just starting to understand layers by trial and error, this helped so much! Thank you for the video! :D
Thanks for the pro tips, dude! I'm learning a lot from you
Your Infinite Painter videos are great! Really helped me get started cos some of this stuff isn't really explained anywhere else
Thanks for taking the time to say so!

Is this the only Infinite Painter tutorial you posted?
It was extremely informative, and would love to see more.

I can't find it in infinite painter
I had 2 filters as their own layers. I can't seem to re-create this. How did I do it again?
Thank you so much!
How do I change a layer transparency? :/
Thank you, kind sir for this tutorial. I learned a lot.
I can see allot of people that have the mask option available, but I don't, and I don't understand why, I have the latest version of the app
Possibly this is a difference in devices? My phone and tablet present things slightly differently but I'm not 100% sure.
@@HelloHiHola Oh that could be the reason, well that's unfortunate because it's a very useful feature
Thank you

Thanks alot, that was a GREAT tutorial.
Can someone plz tell me if I have a layer and I want to change colors of it like if I have a white line and I want to make it black how do I do it?
With that layer active, find Filters or Color Curves for changes like that.
Are there no grouped layers in infinite painter?
Word is that's coming to Android versions. Apple versions allow it I think. I can't confirm Apple info.

Not 100% sure but I would assume you'd need to export each piece you draw as a PNG, then you could import them as layers as and when you need them.
I can't seem to reset the first layer to white, even if I delete what I'm working on and start a new canvas. Help please 😅
Ho do I change the visual order of layers? Thank u :)
How*

Is it true that Inifinite Painter does not have a lock a layer button?? I can’t seem to find it! Not a transparancy lock, I meant
IF you tap the layer, once or twice, a menu comes up. In it you can Hide, Duplicate, Clear, Lock/unlock/ MErge, Delete, Clip and Select

Hi how do you change the layer colour
are their clipping groups? or just regular layer groups?

Can’t you group layers, so I can transform them all at once ? Or selecting them all at once
On iOS devices but not yet on Android. I think it's scheduled for the next major version.
yes you can transform all layers or multiple layers all at once
I think i have jumped to advance without doing basic thats why I've been in trouble thanks it helped
How to create folder layer on android? I need that help
I don't believe folders are supported on Android yet. they are for iOS.
thanks for this tutorial :) really helpful :) btw, i also experience a lot of crashing with infinite painter lately :(
The latest update has been OK for me - the app creator takes bug reports pretty seriously. Thank you for the gratitude!
