I used to like Bill -- thought he was fair. But the level of Trump derangement coupled with the "Democracy is at risk" argument gets so old. Trump has his flaws, but the country was in a far better shape when he was leading it. Biden has brought America to it's knees. It cannot take another 4 more years of this -- maybe, just maybe, neither can the world.

I’m reading comments annnd… it seems too few enjoyed the sparks and respectful exchange of differing views. But it’s so healthy to allow other opinions to be heard! Did everyone listen to the full interview? What’s up with all the people slamming Bill? Megyn didn’t slam him at all. And why would she? It’s ok to have different opinions, friends! This was a fascinating discussion no matter what side anyone chooses. We have to be able to hear each other. Bill Maher is NOT a raddy lefty. He’s a fairly reasonable opposing voice.

I spent 13 years on the border in El Paso from 90 to 13. The border has not changed since. It seems that all the people complaining about the border wouldn’t know when they were at the border when they got there. This is a shame that one person has been able to lead so many astray. Megyn, you should go back to practicing law, if you’re an attorney. Getting fired from Fox and starting a podcast can’t possibly pay as much.

What Maher also doesn't get is that an election has to be fair for it to be relevant to a Democracy (and Democracy itself to function as such). The Hunter Biden Laptop and also (not included in this talk) Big Tech directing (and misdirecting) social media / search traffic to alter the perception of voters (calculated as having effected the results of the last Election and a threat to the current).

I love the scare tactic of 'he'll never give up the office' and 'he never gave up' the office. This is such an ignorant position. Former President Donald Trump is not required to register as a sex offender as a result of being found liable in a civil trial, according to legal experts. Only people convicted of a sex offense, such as rape or incest, in a criminal case must register as a sex offender under New York state law.

Anyone who knows what actually happened on January 6th - meaning they've seen the released footage from inside the Capitol building; knows that Pelosi turned down Trump's offer to call in the National Guard; saw Trump's spoken words and tweets that day, AND still thinks Jan 6th was an attempted insurrection or coup, is either stupid beyond words, watches news networks that lie, or else has Trump Derangement Syndrome (most likely all of the above) Those are the only options. I think this is a fair assessment. People should be more admirable of him being sincere, worts and all and we shouldn’t always expect people to get on. I thought it was more or less a respectful conversation

This interview was great, if anything it points out the need for a political party that's ideology falls in the center. This most definitely applies to my country of canada as well. The political establishment has limited the peoples choice to.only two parties, or as i put it, the lesser of two evils. Zero representation for people who's political stripe lands in the middle. I like some policies in both camps, only being so polarized means there is zero room for compromise......on anything.........ever.

But Bill after the whole Jan 6 Capitol root fiasco Trump DID leave the White House. And it is one thing to dispute the results of an election with unprecedented mail-in voting and quite another to dispute the 22nd Amendment. And the man would be 81 and would likely have aged facing an adversarial media and bureaucracy going after literally every day for over a decade.

I was SICKENED by how Megyn fell all over Bill Maher and his liberal ideas. He degraded Trump and she went along with it in front of him while supporting Trump with other guests. I lost a huge amount of respect for her attempting to walk a fine line.

If you remember her as a moderator in the debate, she was singlehandedly the one responsible for everyone believing Trump hates women. Her question, "You call 'women' fat pigs...." Knowing full well he only called Rosie O'Donnell that because she bullied him for years until he finally punched back. She knew that and yet she asked that false question which to this day still sticks. For that I will never forgive her...all because she wanted in the cool kids club. Fox viewers were furious and she suddenly stepped down, then joined mainstream....then they ended up firing her. I'm sure she always regretted backstabbing Fox viewers with a lie.
Sorry I'm in to the conversation after the fact, and when it comes to "fair elections" changing election rules a week before the elections, allowing unverified ballots to be counted as legitimate is election interference and should delegitimize the 2020 elections

I actually enjoyed this interview. While I didn’t agree with many of the things Bill Mayer said, it was refreshing that they were able to have a civil discussion without screaming and talking over each other. I would like to see a follow up interview after the election.
