I met (if you could call it that) one US Senator, once. Max Baucus. I was doing construction at a lumber mill in Northwest Montana and some glad-handing soft-looking guy came up to me to shake my hand and say something happy and bland. I figured that he was management of the corporation that owned the mill and I started to tell him, in so many words, that he was wasting his effort because I didn't work for him, but he kind of brushed by me not hearing a word that I said. Still kind of wondering who he was I thought to myself that he came across as a car salesman or a politician, and learned later that it was the latter. And one of the tip-offs to his fakeness was that he was wearing a flannel shirt - still creased and fresh off the shelf, so he looked like a bad actor in a cheap production of Oklahoma!. These elite twerps actually think they're smarter than those of us who prefer to actually build stuff for a living - rather than spending our lives kissing ass and selling out. But compared to Walz, Baucus at least never tried to put tampons in the boys restroom.

And as for masculinity and violence, one of the main differences between the rearing of young men and young women is that young men are taught how to deal with violence and how to curb their violent impulses. Young men need older men to show them - sometimes with violence, which is why it has to be someone who loves them like a father - how violence works. Because as a man, you are born with the potential to be able to beat up over half of everybody and the testosterone urging you to do it. It's like teaching gun safety to a new hunter. Pay attention to all of the folks not only threatening violence against people they don't agree with, but actually doing it. Chicks (mostly fat and blue-haired), trans 'males', sissy boys... a vastly disproportionate number of people threatening violence are the people with no real capacity to inflict it and no apparent capacity to curb their violent impulses.

Given Trump's challenges with suburban women, it may turn out that his biggest mistake this election was not having a razor sharp, but relatable woman on the ticket. Something like a Trump / Megyn Kelly ticket could've have been a bolt of lightning.
Her first instinct was to NOT trust Trump, but to trust MSM Dem Anti'-Trump noise , back in 2016, before and after she moderated a debate with him in it.
She's finally come around, better late than never, but as a high-profile journalist for Fox News, her bad instincts, and thinly veiled contempt, if not blatant disdain, did NOT help him, to say the least, and drove many women to hate him. Her "gotcha" hostile questioning lost him votes.
Those initial bad instincts are not what I'd want in a president.
Did she ever apologize, or express regret over that? If so, I missed it, but the damage has been done.
Glad she's advocating for him now, though.
