Something scary to me is that the death angels are from a ecosystem so that mean they could have predators that could tear a death angel apart

Most apex predators in ecosystems today, and even in the past are solitary animals. When have you ever seen a bear hunting in packs? For the past example, a Tyrannosaurs wasn’t known to be a social animal outside of its juvenile stage, literally known to fight over territory with other tyrannosaurs, the Death angels seem extremely social creatures. Literally calling out to eachother when they see food. And dozens of them come running, my point being that if the death angels were true apex predators, we’d see them fighting and perhaps even killing eachother over food. And they wouldn’t need armor. Another fact that adds to this, the ankylosaurs (The living tanks of the Mesozoic/Dinosaur era) have armor, specifically so they can defend against the superpredators of their time. The death angels have armor around the same durability as some primitive ankylosaurs.
Theres something even more striking to the eye then the death angels themselves are. Something even they can’t protect themselves against. Imagine this scenario.
A group of humans are sneakily moving through an open field, when suddenly one steps on a branch, they know their doomed, and they hear the alien creature sprinting towards them, when suddenly it stops mere feet away from them. Its claws imbedded into the ground, it seems-.. scared? The creature expands its armor around its head, revealing its bloodcurdling “face” the holes it uses as ears expanding, clearly listening for something, its posture shrinks, it seems terrified. Before letting out a 120 db screech, alerting all the other death angels in the area. Before running off at high speeds, the humans seem flabbergasted. But glad they aren’t dead, yet.. they now know there’s something even worse. Some unidentified organism that can kill these things, these same fucking things that basically destroyed the planet.
TLDR: The aliens in quiet place have armor, and are extremely social, traits most apex predators don’t have. Meaning there’s something that hunts and kills these things, which by them selves are superpredators by today’s standards.
Which brings the question are the creatures from their planet on earth?
I am now fully convinced that death angels are one of the only swarming alien monsters that can effectively stop a white spike invasion. Edit: Holy Cow I keep forgetting about how many more swarming alien species in sci-fi are out there.

im going to make some sort of assumption and say that they don't actually drown in water, but rather water is caustic to them. it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but perhaps their cells have no way to osmo-regulate, resulting in their soft internals literally melting as their armor keeps their body mostly intact for the time we see it on screen. that would explain why we see them desperately try to climb out of the water whenever they get submerged, it seems like the one that fell into the lake in the second movie was also getting weaker and most discombobulated as it couldn't even get a grip on the hull of the boat while it was flailing around.
Also their "ear-like" organ could be damaged by water. Kinda reminds of free divers when they get to a certain point underwater their eardrums would burst 😅

It’s clear oxygen isn’t needed to survive so it’s rather an effect of high pressure, liquids in general or the composition of water.
I like the idea of high pressure destroying their ability to hear and akin to ants removing themselves from the swarm when dying/impaired they starve themselves.
A perfect life form would probably evolve to recognise when a worker is a detriment to the colony and hardwire their own sacrifice.
The fact that they cant hear the heartbeating, even staying in front of a person, and its just 'stop breathing' and they cant hear you, is just the biggest issue of the whole movie. Even a DOG can hear that

Well they probably have to hear their internal organs as well so they probably just tune it out so it probably tunes ours out too and i heard a theory that they dont attack the wind because they know what it is so they again probably just ignore it or tune it out

yeah there kinda a lot of plot holes with how there hearing works like how do they determine which noise they want to attack and noise they dont attack we already know they dont attack Rain or flowing water I assume they probably did at first but realize no matter what they couldn't make the noise stop so if anything I feel like it trial and error for them they try to stop the constant noise of something that making noise but if it something they cant stop or end then they give up and ignore it.

I have watched a few videos on death angels and all of them say they use echolocation. They do not. Echolocation is what bats use, they emit a sound that bounces off objects and living things , bouncing back and making a thing simmilar to a picture inside the creatures head. The angels do not only not emit any sound of this high of a frequency ( which would have been contradictory beause of their weakness), they just have very precise hearing. I am not saying you are wrong in the video or anything like that it is just a very common misconseption.

For anyone wondering why he said that the death angels drown despite not breathing, they aren't exactly drowning. They are struggling to get out because of their heavy armor, they don't know what they are in, because they are blind. So naturally they'd want to get out as soon as possible. It may look like they are drowning, but they are just struggling to get out because they can't float.

@@Baconzilla01 They probably could, but they don't know that. They don't know how deep the water is, so the one in that dock scene grabbed on to the bottom of the boat and rode it to the island. If you were blind, would you want risk getting lost in water cause you don't know how deep it is? This is just how the Death angels feel, because they don't know what would happen if they let themselves sink all the way down. Remember, earth is new to them.

I like the Death Angels, but they really are a creature where I just gotta not think about them cause the way they work makes no sense. Like even if their armor is durable, the force of them crashing into earth would have absolutely killed them on impact.
Also I don't believe they are able to run 300mph, sure the creators can say that, but they haven't actually used that speed in the movies.
Nor would any of their “evolved” traits make sense unless they’d were CREATED. They’d have died from being torn apart by the force of the planet they’re were standing on being obliterated and then collapsing on itself… if it’s high gravity, it’s heavy and dense…. Heavy and dense planetoids that explode tend to collapse in on themselves due to said high gravity… then the fact that they ARE NOT ENVIRONMENTALLY SEALED that’s a stupid concept for a biological creature, how and why would it evolve for that? Unless their planet already didn’t have an atmosphere… which would mean they can’t be carbon based… which means, via a bunch of other evolutionary reasons, NO RED FLESH

I call BS on the aliens too… let’s examine.
1. Even if their armor is nigh indestructible the soft fleshy parts underneath are not
2. This means that the impact of a meteor hitting earth would cause internal trauma that would turn the internal meaty parts into liquid.
3. Their planet destructing would cook them inside.
4. Their indestructible armour would not protect their soft meaty parts from freezing in the vacuum of space.

On the meteor ride to Earth, the Death Angels were probably in some kind of hibernation, lowering their metabolism making them not have to breathe during that time. When they woke up on Earth, they started breathing normal again, leading to drowning being a possibility

I noticed that some have light grey armour and some have dark red, maybe a maroon color. So maybe the light colored ones could be younger or the ones that were born on earth or it could be their different genes? Or they could be the mediea. But i also noticed that they are sometimes alone and far away from other death angels so maybe they could be patrolling around?

Space Marine squad mops them up, medium difficulty. If they can brawl with a Carnifex, these things might be more durable, but they're WAY weaker. They're basically weaker Tyranids. With their Power Armor they can just manhandle these things. Even if they can't shoot through their armor, they can probably just grab them and snap their jaws like King Kong. You execute Ork Nobs like that as the Astartes Captain Tidus in WH40K Space Marine.
The strength of the average DA is probably less than the average Ork Nob. (Nobs can flip A Leman Russ battle tank, ways WAY more than a police car.) So a marine can either snap their jaws, or slam them down, shove their bolter down their throat and fire on their insides. Or just feed 'em a chain sword. Honestly, I think a space marine squad would have a harder time with Xenomorphs. The Xenomorphs seem slightly stronger on average & the acid blood could be a problem for the power armor.
Exciting, innovative, powerful. Only a genius could create a monster more impressive for the franchise.
I have a question how can something have this impenetrable Armor in at the same time moves so fast and yet move so light in the gravity but yet sink to the bottom of the ocean when exposed to that makes no sense that means that their skeleton has to be heavy and light at the same time because of the gravity

The "Queen Alien" trend is what I always see in every movie but I never get to see a king. I really wanted to see what a King would do like a male lion in a pride, or a bull Wale leading his pod, an alpha gorilla protecting his troop.
I heard some ant hives had a king aswell which is actually cool to see, it's very rare to see an alien with a king, it might show how unique and amazing these creatures are.

How are these things crawling on buildings and going places? They have good hearing but unless the hearing functions as a visual type thing, I think they are unrealistic. Also the armor is way too over done unrealistic, they can withstand heat and withstand cold. Why would they have sharp teeth if they dont eat animals? How do they know where to go back to? How can they grab things if they cannot see?

true but they might have slowered muscle decay and with the weight of their armour they would still retain some and virus probably wouldnt affect them for a long time because they arnt in our ecosytem so viruses would have to adapt to them and they might never cause unlike everything on earth they dont share a common accenstor and so completly different its similar to how some diseases affect certain animal groups but they struggle to jump and in case of the death angel they are completly different so it would be almost impossible

But those that are highly contagious may have the right stuff to easily transfer to another species such as HIV, SARS, Ebola, Zika and SARS-CoV-2. All it takes is one, and the added "weight" of their armor means nothing muscle degenerative symptoms would accur, which is why if a generation is born on Mars they will never be able to live on earth due to their bones being naturally weaker, unless they use technology to supercede it

What I love is that the Death Angels sort of have an appearance combining the Demorgorgans from "Stranger Things" and Predator. The shape form of these creatures also resemble the form of spiders which people already have alot of fear of .

Death angles have the most plot armour of any horror monster I’ve seen.
Asteroid impact would have liquified their organs from shock
Fire would cook them inside their skin and their armour isn’t air tight, allowing heat in
Nuclear radiation is kind of instant kill regardless of armour

another theory is that their armor is made of a lot of minerals seen as they were in space on a ROCK for so long it could be that they digested some of these minerals incorporating it in their armor and so when you emit a high frequency it vibrates the armor like an opera singer breaking glass

I think that they dont drown. Its more bc the water gets into their body and kind of kills them bc of that. Just my own logic Here.
I hope they explain that more. It looked like the water was painful when that one fell in the sewer in Day One. It seemed to die or become incapacitated in a matter of seconds.

I think that they should rewrite that planet explosion origin story. That just seems a little to impossible with too many factors at play. But besides that, I think that they have a good monster concept going for them.
Imagine if you put these, xenomorphs, and white spikes together to fight humans, we would all die in days. Even you are a main character, I’ll give you a month at most (even the camera man)

And if a face hugger gets on a white spike or death angel, we got ourselves a superior race of killer. All of them can survive the vacuum of space, so you can’t run. They are all bullet resistant/proof. I don’t even think the avengers can stop that force of nature
How did their planet manage to create an atmosphere or an environment without the stimulation of solar radiation? How do they not experience bone and skin density loss after a decade on a low gravity world like earth compared to their own? How are they not developing cancer from being exposed to solar radiation? How are they immune to bacteria’s and diseases of a completely alien world? Not gonna knock on anyone that enjoys this series. But these are the questions that keep me from getting into it. It’s a neat idea though for the aliens to be more of an invasive species than a conquering empire.
In my estimation, there's nothing that can stands a chance against these death angels when they are in kill mode
I wonder if they killed the Queen or their standing leader , the horde of death angels will ne dead just like how The Great Wall movie manage to stop the alien invasion.
It doesn't seem to be a hivemind though. If this is an ant situation then they they might possibly start dying out (if this is the only one which is probably not likely) becuase there would be a mother to give birth but they don't seem to neccesarily need the Queen to do anything.

the thing about super hearing with everyone and animal is that its not always on listening closely is a thing my friends you listen much harder to a faint noise than the youtube in your headphones we can hear breathing aswell if we are close enough listening in the right conditions so just factor the entire earth in your hearing aswell. they can obviously move around using it because thats like breathing to them but on a new planent with new sounds and stuff i can imigine differences in their abilitys

they don't really drown. Basically, water enters their ears and destroys their brain or Vital organs because the planet they are from has no light. this means there is no sun, so the water is frozen. so, they never really had to deal with water. That means water entering their bodies is new and their bodies couldn't handle this new substance.

Like, just blasting them with an RPG or fire should be enough to take them out. It's a case of rule of cool, which isn't bad, but it also destroys any consistency. there for, destroys the threat an immersion because its not playing by its own rule. It's like if the Alien from Aliens were all immune to bullets, but then it still gets run over by the APC

Why don’t the people in the universe of the quiet place use communal knowledge as a way to live, certain loud areas like the waterfall can be used as a way to patrol or hide from death angels, or assist in building mini high frequency devices to help use as a distraction or self defense, or use it to just overload them and then kill them, and if there were to be and any sort of heavy machinery to cut and trim unneeded or long parts, use the armor as a 2nd layer of skin, or in other words, death resistant suits
