The Best Wildlife Moments from the Mara

When we first started Ishara, our Co-Founder, Azhar, and our team would spend countless hours in the park capturing the extraordinary life of the Mara through a Canon lens. Looking back on his footage, the memories resurface vividly-stories of joy, adversity, and triumph that have deep roots in us.
We are transported back to the nights when the mighty Olope and Olbarikoi roared around camp, and the playful antics of the tiny Fig Tree cubs under their mothers' watchful eyes. Our hearts ache as we remember Selenkei and her cubs, and the deep sense of loss we felt when they vanished. We think of Roho, a beacon of hope, and his journey of learning to survive on his own after his mother's passing. And then there were the glorious days on Rhino Ridge, when a procession of the Topi Pride would emerge across the plains, led by the regal Salas boys.
These were sights that we never thought we would witness. Little did we know that a dream made with love would bring us so much love in return-not just from the animals, but from all the kindred spirits we shared these experiences with. Each moment, each day, each person is etched in our hearts forever, a constant reminder of how this place has changed us. For this, and everything else along the way, we are eternally grateful.
