- Assassin's Creed Syndicate is here! There has been a new Assassin's Creed every year since 2007. And although there definitely is some series fatigue, the one thing that always keeps the series fresh is the amazing cities and landscapes they create. London is an absolute masterpiece of art design. The scale of the city is unlike any other Assassin's Creed game before it. The game is not perfect of course. Gameplay is fun, fast and fluid, but the combat gets repetitive after a while. Even with the upgrades, there's not enough variety in the hand to hand combat. The story is pretty good, although it has a slow start. The main characters, "Evie and Jacob Frye, and wonderful. They twin assassin's are on different quests throughout the game, and it's nice to switching back and forth through their stories. You have to upgrade them separately, but they're abilities are mostly the same. We did encounter a fair amount of glitches. Random deaths, people walking through other people, that type of stuff. Only twice did we have to close the game and open it again because we could not continue. Most of the glitches are funny and charming, but you will see many small glitches throughout. The modern day story is almost non-existent. It's disappointing that they keep trying to shoehorn it in. If they are paying so little attention to it, maybe it's time for them to drop it entirely.
Overall the game is satisfying and fun. As always we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to create one fluid cinematic experience. We hope you enjoy!

+JohnThomas5246 I did some research about something that had to do with with world war 1 and what I found had to do with the 11th hussars after killing Lord Carnigan. 2:50:21 is where you can find this and read more into it. Sorry if this wasn't really helpful.
That's really interesting thank you. I could be mistaken but i had read somewhere that you got to play in the WW1 era for a small segment of the game. I was expecting something like in Unity with the time sections.

This one was a vast improvement over Unity, though not a huge fan of the story, which wasn't quite epic enough (seriously, how did they get all of that done in ONE YEAR?). But I adored Evie and Jacob's legit brother/sister relationship. It felt real and they felt close. Right down to the hurtful arguments that only siblings can have and make up from. Wouldn't mind them coming back to cover what happened between this and the Jack the Ripper DLC.
Why is it that anytime a new assassins creed game comes out the history that it takes place in is what I'm learning in my history classes?

Tbh depends on the ads. The banner ones are no problem, allthough hardly profittable. To me it's usually the either huge amount, or 1-2-3-4 mins ones interrupting a playlist. In essence.... you got the right combo atm :D

Honestly, I love this game. I love the gameplay and both of the stories. People say that the series went south when they killed off Desmond. But think of it this way, if Desmond stayed alive then the story would become bland. There wouldn't be any different perspective for the modern day. I've been reading the comics, and to be honest the present day storyline is better because there is more perspective. ***SPOILER ALERT*** imagine the final battle in the present day between the Templars and Juno against the Assassins. It is going to be epic. Each of the WWI and WWII bits are to test the modern-day gameplay. I feel like instead of watching the presentday battle we'll be playing it
It is nice that ubisoft decided to keep Henry green alive cuz all the assassins lost the people they loved ,ezio lost Cristina and most of his family ,Edward lost Caroline and most of his friends,connor lost his mother,Arno lost Elise and his father,Desmond lost Lucy and i think shay loved hope but he had to kill her

Been a fan of the series since the first game, and although Unity was a let down in the gameplay department, I found Syndicate to be a perfect blend of everything that came before. Well done on the editing here, you've outdone yourself.
You should really stop rushing the objectives and let the characters talk.
Theres a channel call citizenweez they edit ac games into tv series format and it's got the perfect mix of gameplay and talking...
Sooo judging from the comments below, people either seem to really hate this game or really love this game.
I for one, LOVED it. I saw a lot of people complaining about the story more than anything, but I personally really like it. Maybe its not the strongest Assassin's Creed story, but I still really enjoyed it. Jacob and Evie of course are awesome. I love those two and their relationship. I wish the story was longer just so I could play with them more. Evie is so serious but she's also really likable and clever. Jacob is a BABE, I developed a huge crush on him right from the start. He's so funny and charming and pretty much a badass, but he also has a sensitive side and I love that. I'm glad they made the present day story pretty much down played and they focused more on the London story, because with the other games, they seemed to take up half the game and take away the attention. I LOVE the soundtrack as well, I could listen to it all the time. London looks incredible, I loved climbing Big Ben and Tower Bridge and all the other landmarks. This game made me fall in love with London. I think its safe to say its my favourite game to come out of 2015. It made me fall in love with Assassin's Creed again (cause let's face it, Unity wasn't amazing).

imagine seeing Old Jacob and Old Evie in that Achilles from 3 age-range.
They could go down in a blaze of glory, one dying and the other going super saiyan twin rage level 10 to avenge them, and save the world and make us all cry our eyes out, with a parallel to the present-day plot of a main character like Shaun or Rebecca dying and the main character avenging them, etc.

Well, sadly, I think this has to be the worse Assassin's Creed story with ease (in my opinion the story was worse than Unity). The only good thing about it is that there is a slight progression in the modern story but it'll probably take 15 games before Unbisoft figure out what to do. I think it's quite plainly clear that the writers are lost with the story after killing Desmond for shock value.

I agree. To this day I still have no clue why the writers thought killing Desmond was a good idea. As a writer, you have to weigh the value of being shocking to the value of having a strong story and the shock value was so obviously not worth giving up the character that tied the whole thing together.
Assassin's Creed was MY SHIT back in the day, but after Black Flag I lost all hope on the storyline.
Which is why i'm watching this nice free movie instead of wasting my moneh on this ridiculous filler game.

Damn I hope the next AC is in the Wild West or Restoration Japan or British Raj India.....hopefully we could adventure to all 3 locations in one game since they took place at the same time (it always interested me how the Wild West looks primitive compared to any time before it and during it).
is it just me or does Darwin sound a lot younger than he looks? I get that someone younger must have voiced him and nobody alive knew what he sounded like, (it's not a flaw in the game the game looks and probably plays great) i found it slightly disconcerting

I've enjoyed this story far better than unity. This one had some very likable characters. Kinda disappointed with the templars though. Thorne, Maxwell and even Starrick are alright (even if he could be a little more prominent to the plot, he just appeared after missions for casually showing his reaction to what's happening, and even with his big move, it just gave him time to reach the objective). The other templars are very bad. What's Cardigan's relevance to the plot? That doctor? Even Maxwell, but he is a colorful character though. I am impressed for a final boss fight. Unity had a very bad one, Blackflag was just an air assassination, and Rogue... I can't remember, and that's not the situation it should be in my opinion.
Note: I truly like the templars in this game than in Unity and Blackflag, those were blank targets, with no charisma. Not even Torres or Germain, those are very weak characters in my opinion.
Anyway, likable story, many cool characters (I think I've enjoyed Evie more than Jacob, ignoring the bullshit romance), some very weak plot twists (I've guessed them all from the introduction of every new character), weak present story (no gameplay on it, very brief, and trying to hard to make a plot twist at the end). Overall, a good game.
I hope i wasn't the only one hoping to have George's assassins outfit available for Jacob...

It was really awesome, It's probably a little late now you've probably heard it a thousand times but, leveling your character could have made your fights less taxing.
My favourite, set in one of the best eras.... Also for the record people, the only reason the trains are so wide is because it's meant to represent the Broad Gauge Railways.. 7f 4" something like that..Sadly though, only the GWR(Great Western Railway) was only Broad Gauge I believe, until 1892.

I agree. While the present day story was brought back, I didn't feel connected. The main reason was because of the whole simply "being an initiate" point of view. You couldn't interact in the modern day. It was just a couple of cutcenes, nothing more. Let us actually play as a modern day character with a face and story. We were hoping to play as Gavin or Galina.

They keep losing everyone, wouldn't be fair for the brothers to lose each other. I've yet to see an AC game where the protagonist and their significant other live lol
+Никита Российтцев I think it's a good story. you don't need fucking sadness and people dying for a good story. Otherwise it'd be the same damn plot (death, motivation for revenge/righteousness, revelation). I like this as it put a fresh breath of air into the assassin story.
Story still seemed to be anti average but overall it seemed to have a way better one compared to all the others oh and that ending was absolutely fantastic could of been better but it was still great!

The goal of a game movie is to show the main story of a game. So it will include the cutscenes but also important in-game dialogue and some gameplay to add some action. It should exclude unnecessary footage that doesnt push along the main story

The story is so half-assed! How long is ubisoft gonna keep going off the whole "we're bringing Juno back" schtick? They've been doing that for 4 games now....... That's 4 years. Psh thank God for playthroughs I'll never buy another assassin creed game again
