I have no idea who Jay White is, he just looks like a small skinny dude and he jumped a curtain jerker. If he was supposed to be a somebody, why not have him save Page at the end of the show.

Hangman Page once was part of the Bullet Club (BC) faction in NJPW. White was the last leader of the BC. The BC is a heel faction, White is still a heel. Hangman is a face. So White saving Hangman wouldn't have make sense without turning White face or Hangman turning heel. Hangman turning heel doesn't make sense bc he is involved in the Elite vs BCC. The BCC are the heels.
Kenny once was the leader of the BC and the Young Bucks were also part of the BC.
Btw Adam Cole was a BC member once too, as was Cody.

But there is more about Jay White and his story.
At the beginning of the year White was IGWP world heavyweight champion. He lost the title and blamed another Bullet Club (Hikuleo) member for his loss. So Hikuleo and White had a match. The match had a loser-leaves-the-country stipulation. White lost so he had to leave Japan.
NJPW has build up a branch in the USA over the last couple of years and White helped building it up. So White left Japan and moved to NJPW USA. He was still leader of the Bullet Club at this point.
White has a rivalry with Eddie Kingston and they had a match at the Battle In The Valley PPV. The match got a stipulation: if White loses he has to leave NJPW completely.
White lost to Kingston and left NJPW.
After this match White got attacked by David Finlay, another Bullet Club member. Usually when a BC member gets attacked by his BC friends it means he is getting kicked out off BC. So basically White got kicked out off BC and David Finlay became new leader of BC.
But last week Jay White got introduced as Bullect Club member on AEW Dynamite. They showed the BC bonesoldier logo and after White and Robinson had attacked Ricky Starks they played the Bullet Club theme.
Last night at Dynamite White and Robinson announced a new era of Bullet Club: the Bullet Club Gold.
I am a huge fan of the BC and of Jay White but let me tell you: the way White got introduced to AEW was not good and didn't make sense. It was really disappointing.
Jay White was really one of the big guys in NJPW. He was a grand slam champion (he had won all the major titles). He sold out PPVs with his name. Nothing of this transferred to AEW.
NJPW has the Battle In The Valley PPV uploaded on their TH-cam channel. You can watch it there for free until tomorrow. I highly recommend you to watch it and especially the Eddie Kingston vs Jay White match.
@Bjaerke thank you for the heads up on that. I didn't realise they put things up for free on TH-cam. I just watched the Kingston/White match. I liked White, he was different to how I imagined him. His selling was great, as was his character work. Will be interesting to see how AEW use him. It's not great start, especially starting his own group. Feels like everyone in AEW is apart of a faction, but he can talk as well as wrestle. So hopefully he is given tv time.

The highlight for me was the chair spot with Jeff returning to save Matt... AGAIN... and Big "Test" Bill and whoever else just bent over for the chairshot to their backs. It was so fake and rushed. I agree with Last that Keith Lee doesn't look so bad, that he doesn't even look that old. It is a weird look compared to what he was before, though. I agree with Cornette's opinions on Lee for the most part too, though I'm not as harsh on how he speaks.
Brian Last is looking at this all wrong. From one Jewish man to another, using a wrestling show to break the fast on Yom Kippur not only sounds awesome, but there shouldn't be anything really non-Kosher about it as long as you get your concessions after sundown. As for Passover, apparently corn based food is OK now (thank goodness because other than Matzah I find most Passover food gross) so just go have some Mexican food in lieu of the seder before the show

I just wanna hear Jims take on this weeks Omega breath fest promo, the announcers were like "we've never heard Omega so intense" lmao, sounding out of breath and saying "worse then blood" a few times isn't intense,calling it here he was referring to blood and guts which...yeah the elite would literally be murdered.
I don't follow AEW religiously, but I check in every couple of weeks, and it always feels all over the place. Feuds seem to start and not really go anywhere, or the guys feuding disappear from TV for a couple of weeks then resume, it's very strange. Way too many title defenses for my liking as well. Doesn't feel like anyone can actually get established for long before they win a belt then drop it a month or less later, and then you don't see them for weeks. I mean how badly have they dropped the ball with Wardlow? He was red hot after his feud with MJF, he's just been spinning his tires since. I don't understand why AEW fans talk like its this promised land over the hill from WWE. Their booking is a mess.

They seemed to not understand what the MJF segment was. It was just a funny sports entertainment segment, like Foley throwing a birthday party for The Rock... And the Matt Hardy thing is pretty clear. He was a face forced into a heel group. He'd been doing small things to undermine the group, and he now finally did the big retaliation by hitting Page. How they got Hook turning heel out of that is beyond me.
