For the people who are using the latest version everything is the same but the color part in the end. The" realize instances" node, just check in " realize all "and it will work as instructed.
I did every step as followed but i have trouble in the material part. When i plug in the attribute infro in the base color of bsdf it is not showing the affected parts like yours . pls help mebtw im using blender 4.2
@@viscousrealm yes i did but the latest update of blender has changed the realize instance node a little bit by adding certaim values in that node like depth and all but in your case it is just a plain node with no other options inside it . thnks for noticing my comment

You don't need to realize instances, just change type to Instancer on the Attribute node of the shader. 14:20

Did you correct apply the “realise instances “node in between?
