I am playing the remaster now, played them all since PS2 and am disappointed that double team heat actions don't work anymore, not with Rikiya or Date on the street or in the coliseum tag matches yet there are still two ??? in my heat actions list apparently for the two double team ones but it doesn't give the option to do them when my partner grabs someone I get nothing. Can't be bothered wasting my time on tag matches anymore.

TheGaza93 there will be no kiwami 3 because kiwami 1 and 2 are remakes because the original yakuza 1-2 was on ps2. Yakuza 3 is on ps3 so there is no point in remaking the story. But they did remaster 3-5 for ps4,sadly not for Xbox one but there is yakuza 0 and kiwami 1-2 coming.
like for me best yakuza about heat actions ,if I remember Kiryu had 94 or 96 heat moves! Also his dragon of dojima style was perfect , huge palet of fists and kicks . shame for yakuza 4 &5 that they took a lot of his heat actions and moves .

I'm assuming Hidden Blade: Hook only happens when you COUNTER a sword attack? Cause I've been trying to do it, but I always just end up doing the Komaki Sword Draw

For the second one, I think you need to lock on a character and be far away to trigger it. May need to learn the move from Master Komaki. I am having a hard time with 2:06 Essence of throwing. I am in downtown Ryukyu, where the river is, and I keep throwing an enemy over the bridge, but It isn't registering it. Am I doing it wrong?
I think essence of throwing is the one where you throw enemy from top floor. Example: 2nd floor ryukyu market. Throwing enemy from river is Kubochi heat action.
So many that I couldn't do. I barely could get them to be of use. at most I use the drunk pole one if I was drunk which only last for a move or two, the rolling one with rocket push, the throw one enemy into a grounded one(never could get the one for two standing) the 4+ one(helps a lot since I suck at fighting more than one enemy).

It's special move available only for those two man, Hiyama and Hatae. As far as i can remember, they're likely to grab enemy while using the specific command. Hiyama special wrestling, Hatae let loose.
Honestly, i already forget. It's been a long time since i played it. You can use a guide in gamefaqs though, guide by ThePatrick. What i can remember is, you have to do something, so they're available as partners.

I honestly feel like i've made a right choice skipping Yakuza 3 Remaster So many excessive input for basic Heat Actions that's not even for bosses and it drains a full bar to none... why? Plus I heard blocking and Heat gauge is total garbage as well
blocking isn't total garbage, it the enemy blocking so much that is. Heat gauge, yeah since it takes forever to fill sometimes. Also the inputs for heat action unless it like hell's gauntlet finisher which comes with them, are bonuses, you unlock them and you don't have to press them if the first move already finished the enemy.
You've made an absolute wrong choice, you missed out on possibly the two of the best characters in the series, Mine and Rikiya. You also skipped on of the best plot in the entire series (pacing's not really good in the first 6 chapters but the rest is spectacular). You also missed out some of the best QTEs in the series (Lau Ka Long's and Kanda's dry humping lol). Don't let the people that hasn't even played through a chapter of this game tell you it's terrible. It might be the worst in terms of combat but excels in every other department.
Fortunately for me, Yakuza 3 on PS3 was my first Yakuza game and I enjoyed the game's story and combat. I bought the game when it was first released in the USA. I didn't know it was considered a "bad" game until recently.

For the second one, I think you need to lock on a character and be far away to trigger it. May need to learn the move from Master Komaki.

Are you able to do the ultimate essence on bosses?
I never try it. But i think we can. Just need to make them stun first. Maybe using the back sway attack, cause that move stun enemies.

I am having a hard time with 2:06 Essence of throwing. I am in downtown Ryukyu, where the river is, and I keep throwing an enemy over the bridge, but It isn't registering it. Am I doing it wrong?
I think essence of throwing is the one where you throw enemy from top floor.
Example: 2nd floor ryukyu market.
Throwing enemy from river is Kubochi heat action.

How do I use the pole dance heat action? I've completed all revelations, but the heat action icon doesn't appear
Kiryu need to be in state of drunk. Run to enemy, press triangle/heat action button.

So many that I never got to do before finishing the game, lol.
So many that I couldn't do. I barely could get them to be of use. at most I use the drunk pole one if I was drunk which only last for a move or two, the rolling one with rocket push, the throw one enemy into a grounded one(never could get the one for two standing) the 4+ one(helps a lot since I suck at fighting more than one enemy).
@@Gamemaster-64 Well the combat in Y3 kinda sucks regardless so it`s probably not all your fault. It gets better in Y4, and then slightly worse again in Y5.

It's special move available only for those two man, Hiyama and Hatae.
As far as i can remember, they're likely to grab enemy while using the specific command.
Hiyama special wrestling, Hatae let loose.

What i can remember is, you have to do something, so they're available as partners.
I think yakuza 3 personal has the worst combat but I still loved the game

I honestly feel like i've made a right choice skipping Yakuza 3 Remaster
So many excessive input for basic Heat Actions that's not even for bosses and it drains a full bar to none... why?
Plus I heard blocking and Heat gauge is total garbage as well
blocking isn't total garbage, it the enemy blocking so much that is. Heat gauge, yeah since it takes forever to fill sometimes. Also the inputs for heat action unless it like hell's gauntlet finisher which comes with them, are bonuses, you unlock them and you don't have to press them if the first move already finished the enemy.
it is garbage but not garbage enough to be unplayable or enjoyable, plus it mostly happens with bosses, anything else would be easy
You've made an absolute wrong choice, you missed out on possibly the two of the best characters in the series, Mine and Rikiya. You also skipped on of the best plot in the entire series (pacing's not really good in the first 6 chapters but the rest is spectacular). You also missed out some of the best QTEs in the series (Lau Ka Long's and Kanda's dry humping lol). Don't let the people that hasn't even played through a chapter of this game tell you it's terrible. It might be the worst in terms of combat but excels in every other department.
watch some no damages and shit to see how to properly play. the game is actually really fun if you know what you're doing
Fortunately for me, Yakuza 3 on PS3 was my first Yakuza game and I enjoyed the game's story and combat. I bought the game when it was first released in the USA. I didn't know it was considered a "bad" game until recently.
