Canadian hospitals are the worse. I stayed for a few days in one All they serve you is a sad small sandwich which just has a peace of ham and mayo. The first night they did not even have any left. They told me to get my own food from the cafeteria. Next day I got a sandwich with another patient's name on it. They said he did not want it, so I can eat it. They only change it up in the morning. They give you a tiny bowl of rice krispies and orange juice. I am lactose so I could not eat it. Basically not filling at all. Jun's food at least looks healthy and semi tasty.
Poor Jun, his silent disgust was palpable. T^T Weirdly, the hospital I stayed in last year had really good food, but it was funny in other ways. After surgery I was told to avoid fatty foods, and one of the first meals I got had macaroni and cheese, and greens cooked in fat, plus some dessert thing. They also ask your religious affiliation when you enter so they can accommodate any restrictions, but I definitely got pork chops despite being Jewish. (I don't really keep Kosher so it was fine...It was a Catholic hospital so I think they just had no idea.)

You mentioned the second one would have cost a lot more, but i'm curious if it like...counts as elective so its up to 'US' levels, or if its just *relatively* expensive and still cheap by the standards i'm used to
Different insurance plans in the US would have different costs. The hospital charges the most they think they would possibly get, like $2000 a day, and then the insurance pays them what they pay, like $500, which the hospital accepts because they have agreed to accept the insurance. The patient might pay $100 to $300 a day for the hospital as their share. Every medical bill for everything is like that. On my insurance after five days the hospital is free for me for a month. On a doctor visit my insurance might typically pay 15-25% of what the charges are, and to me it's $0 for primary care doctor and $40 for a specialist. But each plan is different.
I am curious too. Although if this was a US surgery, it would likely be a simple procedure in an office, nothing to do with a hospital. Most definitely not an overnight stay. I have had several surgeries under general anesthesia (some removing organs), and they shuffle you out in a couple of hours. ---- When they removed my gallbladder, I was in so much pain office I was begging them to transfer me to the ER as something had to be wrong. The surgical center was closing for the day, so the head nurse sent everyone home and shot me up with something good enough to get me to agree to go home. I was then crawling on my hands and knees in pain for a week. I really hope the US medical industry is gutted and replaced with a functional one.

İ have been watching you for many years . And Jun'sEnglish accent got so much better. He speak so clearly now. Get well soon! Waiting for more videos:-)
In Malay it's "jari(finger) kaki(foot)" so.. Yeah.. I guess it's not that abnormal, though i do feel guilty for laughing at Jun when he first said that. Sorry Jun
I really hope Jun gets well. I have heard from my teacher that one of my her friend had a big bump between her thumb and forefinger of the left hand and she ignored. It was not cancerous but it grew into a big cyst and she had to get her thumb amputated. my teacher said it was kinda gross but since the infection had grown in the thumb too causing it to be amputated. If she visited the doctor late she might even would had her hand amputated. Well anyway I hope you guys and the cats are safe and Jun gets well soon. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Oh! I wanted to add last time about Jun's question about what we call "toes" in English. His statement that they can be called "foot fingers " is actually correct in the Latin based / Romance languages. I am a native English speaker in America with (native) Spanish speaking relatives and friends who studies Spanish. In Spanish, they call all the "digits" (which is an accurate name for fingers and toes in English, although it may be more popular in British English) "dedos" so the fingers are called "los dedos de la mano" and the toes are called "los dedos de los pies." Literally translated this means, "fingers/digits of the hand " and "fingers/digits of the feet." If you just say "dedos" it's usually understood that you mean fingers, as in, of the hand, and you add "dedo del pie" to mean toe. Mano means hand, pie means foot. I love English grammar and the easiest way for me to understand Spanish is by knowing how to "transplant " the grammar. Linguistics are fascinating to me. I don't expect everyone to share this passion. Learning Japanese or any character based language is intimidating to me because it is a completely new system. Always impressed with Rachel for being able to do this and with Jun for learning English. Love the married people banter, too! :D It's great that you've been cooking, Rachel. Make it fun! I hope Jun's foot heals soon! ¡Espero que el pie de Jun sane pronto!
Thank you guys for the update and continuing to share your lives! Happy to knowJun is doing well and on the road to recovery. Props to you Rachel for taking care of Jun. You guys are a beautiful couple and I pray that you will continued to be blessed. 😁❤️

Please take good care of yourselves. I'm glad you took care of a potential cancer scare. I had 3 Moles removed from my back in my twenties for similar reasons. @@erenyeager2713 Jun and Rachel were always hot
The scruff looks good on him!
EhhI prefer Jun clean shaven but it's up to Jun and Rachel
he looks kinda like TK from Ling Tosite Sigure....
SO Glad to hear everything went well and that Jun's foot is healing. Plus I love the look of Adoration and Horror on Jun's face when Rachel said she was doing all the cooking... LOL! Also, foot fingers is now a thing!
Haku roleplaying as a doctor :D
I rub coconut oil into my surgery scars, and its really helped them to fade and increased their flexibility, it might help your foot!
Technically, if all limbs used to be legs, fingers are actually hand toes HAHAHAA
I'm glad to see everyone is doing great today, especially Rachel and Jun. Despite everything that's been going on I'm happy to see people is doing great. May God bless everyone, stay safe and be healthy 🤗
awwww one day away and jun is like i can’t wait to see my cats tomorrow
So very glad that you both are doing alright as well as your kitties. Like the beard Jun. You will be walking before you know it. Rachel, you and Jun stay healthy and happy. I have been thinking about you during this Covid-19 Crisis hoping the best for you and low and behold I see you tonight. Take care.
0:32 Awwww! Haku wants to help Jun!
Haku is like a child, touching everything, adorable ❤️
Jun looks more japanese than usual😂
Stay safe during this covid-19 lockdown
Probably the facial hair 😂
I think that not staying at that hospital for the week was a good choice, with the rising amount of coronavirus cases in Japan...
*HIS BEARD*
Rachel: "AND I'M THE CHEF NOW!"
lolol I hope Jun gets better soon~ Stay safe guys!
İ have been watching you for many years . And Jun'sEnglish accent got so much better. He speak so clearly now. Get well soon! Waiting for more videos:-)
I had a “dark mole” removed from my foot as well about 10 years ago. I’m amazed I found someone else who has had the condition.
I miss Jun sarcastically saying thank you, but this is good too, lol.
Hope Jun feels better soon and keeps healing fast! Yay Rachel for doing so much cooking too.
In polish, toes are called "palce u stóp" wich means fingers at the feet, or..... FOOT FINGERS!!
In croatian "palac" means thumb lol.
fingers are prsti
In spanish is "dedos de los pies" the direct translation being "fingers of the feet"
is English more or less complex in that is has individual words for common things, where many languages would require a phrase.
In Malay it's "jari(finger) kaki(foot)" so.. Yeah.. I guess it's not that abnormal, though i do feel guilty for laughing at Jun when he first said that. Sorry Jun
Yep. Lábujj in hungarian, which is foot finger 😂😂
I love that Haku is just there like 'I'm gonna just do cat stuff, don't mind me.'
: D. Hope you're doing well Jun.
Love you guys and love your cats. Enjoy watching your videos. Speedy recovery to Jun, and stay safe in your world in this crazy universe. Blessings.
In Arabic too "اصابع القدم" translate to literally "foot fingers" lol
In portuguese translates to foot finger too, we call it dedo do pé
Woke up to a Rachel and Jun video, now my day is just a little bit better in quarantine!
I'm glad you're recovering at home and still able to move around, Jun. Welcome back! :)
“Your purse is the heaviest stuff” omg hahaha hope he’s recover well! Thank you for updating. I always enjoy your videos
Jun is looking more and more like "~~~looong looooong~~~ man"
P.S. get well soon
Shit, I can't unsee it now
It took me a minute but take your damned like
OMG he is
Glad to hear everything went well! I can tell that Jun is happy to be home. ^^
It feels like Jun has become softer. The atmosphere changed slightly
Hope you are healing well and both of you stay healthy!
I'm glad they could successfully remove the mole, and it was benign!
Thank you guys for the update and continuing to share your lives! Happy to knowJun is doing well and on the road to recovery. Props to you Rachel for taking care of Jun. You guys are a beautiful couple and I pray that you will continued to be blessed. 😁❤️
Foot fingers made me laugh 😂 when I learned the Japanese words for body parts it always amused me. Like the word for ankle is basically foot neck and I can't unthink that😂 (ashi(foot) + kubi(neck) = ashikubi (ankle))
5:50 Haku is such a good companion... He's cute, sweet, gentle... I wish i could get a lap kitty like haku...
In Brazil we call them “dedos do pé” which means foot fingers
Sending Jun healing waves so he can jog soon. Take care!
“And I’ve been cooking a lot for u!” Jun: *hehe nervous 😬 *
Glad the surgery went well! Hope you continue to have a smooth recovery, Jun.
0:03: *Haku: what do you want? Oh God that camera!*
Please take good care of yourselves. I'm glad you took care of a potential cancer scare. I had 3 Moles removed from my back in my twenties for similar reasons. I don't regret the choice. The pain and recovery I could have skipped but now I am pleased that it's a non issue. This was a smart move you made . I understand the frustration of temporary immobility however your blessed with each other as a wonderful support system . Please continue to bless each other and your amazing cats.
