George, to everyone listening I am a 24-year-old female sitting in my car battling with addiction to alcohol and homelessness trying to get into a treatment center by tonight. I just want you to know that you have helped comfort me today in this moment and helped me realize my relationship with God is the priority moving forward with my recovery. I just want to thank you for being that, little bit of help and peace in a rather tumultuous time for me.
Update: I’ve been in a recovery program and met the most amazing people. I am seeing God work in my life thank you to all that have commented support. It is brought happy tears to my eyes, I’m sober and feeling hope again. I will always be grateful for the ones who prayed and cared for me in this comment section. Bless you all.

I’m a 24 year old male battling the same addiction to alcohol and many other sins. The greatest advice I can give you is get a bible. If you do not have one reply and I I’ll arrange a way to get you one. God bless you and us all and just be safe safe and do not stop believing we will be okay.

Is Jesus God or human or Son of God or without a father or son of marry or a God that can be killed by humans? I love Jesus but God cannot be born nor destroyed he's beyond our imaginations. I do follow Jesus path as messenger old Testament but not Church which is run by atheists.
Jesus didn't teach you Christ. Your local church invented the Christ symbol. I've read both old and the new testament and I'm muslim. I bet you do the same thing. If you haven't read the quran then don't comment cuz religion is not joke or your opinion.

Thank you for reading the New Testament and respecting Jesus teachings. Jesus God and the Holy Spirit are one. How I personally think of it is like an atom, it has protons, neutrons, and electrons which all together are an atom. I’m not going to lie to you and say the trinity makes perfect sense. But truly if you ask where and why enough about almost anything in this life that we’ve seen with our own eyes you’ll end up just needing to have faith that it’s true. Jesus is God and flesh, showed how to live a perfect sinless life and was the ultimate sacrifice for our sin. It’s ok to have questions though. I still do everyday but the more I study the Bible and other books, including the Quran, I find more answers.

I had resented god for nearly all of my life. Growing up I had very abusive parents, my dad an alcoholic and my mom on and off heroin. I’ve been through countless struggles that brought me to my breaking point and made me want to end it all. About 7 months ago, I started to feel a deeper sense of judgment within me. I began questioning the habits I was indulging in, and the dark emotions that resided in me. I began to feel a yearning for god, but I didn’t think I was at all worthy of building a relationship with him due to the ways I was living, and my past resentment towards him. Then I watched you and Cliffe. Your vulnerability about seeking god, and about your imperfections opened my eyes and made me see it was possible. I let out a world of emotions through tears that I never had before, and after I finished the podcast I bought a bible and have been reading it ever since. I can’t describe how truly lifesaving this has been, thank you.

I’m gonna confess it here. I strayed away from God about 10 years ago when I was young teen and he recently pulled me out of the world and brought me back to him and his word. I fell into the temptations of the world and became addicted to just about everything Jesus tells us to avoid. I got to the point where I felt empty and alone even though I was experiencing all of the pleasures the world had to offer. And ever since I made the decision to devote my life back to Jesus a couple weeks ago, God has removed those temptations from my mind completely. George your podcast has helped me a lot to come back to the Lord and now I hope to do the same for others. To any of y’all still reading this, if you’re apart from God, NOW is the time to leave the things of this world and come back to him. Praise be the name of Jesus Christ.

I'm same always crying when I am praying or worshipping God. It is beautiful.
Im so glad I tuned into this today... This past Sunday, I asked to pray for my Dad and his pain! I really can't explain it, but during our prayer I spoke in tongues! I spoke 2 distinct words and repeated them over and over! and in that moment, I stopped crying I stopped shaking and felt so much relief. I can't explain it.... All I know is that my tongue went from fat and dry, feeling like I needed the biggest drink of water, and then my thirst was quenched, and the words flowed! And afterwards I called my mom and she went "ahhhh you spoke tongues" and then continued to tell me that she experienced this as a teenager and she NEVER told anyone! It was a beautiful moment for both of us. God Bless you guys❤❤🙏🙏
Whether George sees this or not I’ll just say it is truly incredible to see God moving in his life. Just being honest my faith has been growing very much recently and all glory to God but before when George was on older podcasts it was easy for me to judge because he seemed to be living a worldly life and calling himself Christian. And I apologize and repent to God and George for thinking in this way. But I will say it is amazing to see George’s faith taking off. We are all in the process of learning and growing together and seeing George give up things such as cursing is showing his true fear of the Lord and wanting to do better on this earth. Thank you God and thank you George for you devotion towards God. I again apologize for the judgement I had in my heart, I truly truly pray for you and your wife in all future Godfilled endeavors:)

I never understood how some Christians could be so different, so blessed, and have such a, divine almost, relationship with God, until I felt the change myself, because I was only seeing the surface. I just quit weed to crucify my flesh and submit to giving Christ a clean temple. Im 32 and been smoking for 18 years. I know you probably won’t see this because of all the comments but I wanted to tell you a tiny bit about me because I watch your videos and im impressed with how you carry yourself. I have always been aware of Jesus and God but never really knew the son and father because I wasn’t converted. This past October right when hamas attacked Isreal i began learning the Bible at a hyper hyper rate. For the last 6 months i have a fire in me that burns hotter and hotter to learn more of the lords word an to be more disciplined in the word. I’m from NC an when I was 9 or 10 a missionary Nigerian preacher came to our our church because he was friends with our pastors family. During his time speaking I paid attention to everything he was saying even though it was hard and when we came into a circle for prayer he pulled me out of the crowd and told me that the lord has a bigger purpose for me and asked me if he could anoint me an pray over me I turned to my grandma because I didn’t fully understand what was happening. Ever since I’ve lived a horribly sinful life… I should be dead multiple times over but the lord protected me. If you did happen to read my comment an wanted to talk farther I’m always open. I don’t care about fame or if anyone knows who I am I just love talking about the Bible an Jesus Christ

Hearing Stuart talk about his faith being more "up here" as in more of a reasoning and intellectual (for lack of better words) faith and hearing Cliffe talk about those emotional surreal experiences as an exception rather than the rule is incredibly encouraging to me. I've never had crazy out of body or emotional spiritual experiences like Belle and sometimes I feel left behind, or like I am doing something wrong when it comes to seeking the Lord. But when I see men like Cliffe and Stuart and the impact they have had on so many others including myself, it definitely encourages me when I at times feel like God can't hear me.
I always understood baptism of the Holy Spirit as the day you truly dedicate or surrender your life to Jesus. In our church we pray for the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. And many people speak in tongues. I've heard many testimonies tied to speaking in tongues. I always understood it as the Holy Spirit interceding on your behalf. I'll try to recall this one testimony as best I can. One older lady prayed 2 very similar phrases in tongues all her life. One day she was praying quietly, and some guy overheard her prayer and was very surprised. He asked her how she knew that language as it was a very particular dialect spoken by his home village on some tiny islands on the other side of the world. She replied saying she does not know what she is praying, as that is the Holy Spirit. He then translated what she was praying. One of the phrases was healing over a leg. During that time that ladies moms leg was severely infected, to the point of rot, and going to be amputated within a few days. The day it was scheduled to be amputated, the surgeon came in lifted the sheet, assumed it was the wrong leg, lifted the other sheet only to see 2 perfectly healthy legs. The daughter prayed those words for 30 years not knowing what they meant, the Holy Spirit was interceding on her behalf decades before the leg was even infected. Sometimes the Gifts don't make sense but it is from the Holy Spirit.
Wow, I'm truly amazed by how God is answering every question I prayed for during this Bible study. It's like they're addressing every thought and concern I had. I'm filled with gratitude for His guidance and provision. Thank you, Lord, for being so present and attentive to my prayers.

George…I heard you and felt your heart with your vulnerability and expressing what was tantamount to imposter syndrome. Having gone thru it, what I can tell you is that by focusing less on what you aren’t and more on Jesus and the beauty of what was finished at the cross, your change will come organically. Spend time in the word, and in worship. Continue feeding yourself the things of God to become better acquainted with His character and love for you. Spend less time attempting to “intellectually” define faith thru the cans and can’t do’s of the believers walk. Focus on His mercy and grace, knowing that while He requires justice, he is acutely acquainted with our frailties, and equally (if not more so) delights in showing the mercy that triumphs over judgement. That is His character and heart for us!!!

I have been a Christian for about a year now. Let me tell you, I too went through the exact same questions you are in this podcast one day.
I just wanted to say, that this really did take me back, to the time when I was frantically "researching" theological issues as a fresh convert. It's not often people talk about [in some degrees] fringe topics like speaking in tongues and spirit baptism in a podcast setting like here, and so after answering them for myself, I somewhat just forgot about the topic, thinking like "yup, cross that one off too, now that we have an answer". It is so pleasant to see someone voice their concerns, being clueless, like I was back when.
While yes, I do disagree on many conclusions discussed, like believers baptism and usage of angelic tongues. I do appreciate you coming out to the public with your questions. Many of us, especially in the beginning are very much afraid of asking these questions that hold much tension between the two disagreeing sides. The couples who prayed over you and spoke in tongues, didn't need an interpreter.
Simply put it this way, they are talking to the Holy spirit in ways even they don't understand. Tt is a spiritual gift. It's available for everyone.

Do you think you are good enough to go to heaven because you pray five times a day, read the whole Quran, or Go to the Mosque every day? No, you don't, everyone isn't. God said this is the son of man(Jesus) Listen to him. Even Jesus said he is god( before Abraham I am). I heard even some say Islam is not a peaceful religion, you can search for it. First thing I don't believe Islam is true because It doesn't make any sense. because you can't just do good work to go to heaven, cause you are a sinner. God is perfect we can't just enter his house by praying 5 times a day, it isn't even worth it. That's why we need Jesus, the Lamb of God. ( God in Human form), He paid the price that we deserve and that is salvation, that's the only way we going to god's house. Jesus isn't just only a prophet, Muslims don't even believe he died on the cross. Go search about it and find evidence for Jesus's death and resurrection. I was depressed and have journal entries of me over the years cursing god. Then on march 18, 2023, a lady was looking at her phone and hit my car (was turning off the highway) and sent me into oncoming traffic . Right before impact I felt what I imagine to be hands on my shoulder before I blacked out. It could have been some chemical response, but it felt so real it shook me to my core. As of a couple nights ago, I opened the Bible for the first . As of today I struggle with a lot of things such as marijuana use and lust, but I have faith that God and the Gospel can wash away my sins in due time🙏

Summer of 2022, I was traveling around the USA in a big ole van with 8 other 19-24 year olds, evangelizing, praying, and holding worship gatherings in different cities. At our first stop, Charleston West Virginia, we had gathered downstairs in the church in the kids playroom to pray before Sunday's service began. One of the pastor's daughters began speaking in tongues, and while hearing her speak in tongues, I felt a stirring from the holy spirit for myself and two other of my teammates who were in the room to seek an interpretation from the Holy Spirit. The three of us stopped praying, and began to seek the Holy Spirit for interpretation on what was being said. After she finished speaking in tongues, we came back together with our results, and what we each got from the Holy Spirit shocked us.
Each one of us, with no convening at all, had gotten the same thing with the same two central words. The Holy Spirit elected to elaborate on different subpoints within the interpretation, but we all interpreted the exact same central two words: "SEEK ME." When I have more time, I can elaborate more on this if there are questions. :)

George I relate to you a lot and feel exactly what you’re saying and gone through. We are so hard on ourselves because we want to please God, and when you have people around you who always tell you you’re amazing and doing great and you’re this great person. Yet you know you struggle with sooo much, and feel like you’re so far from being the man you want to be. It’s like I’m not worthy to even receive the compliments because I’m still learning and growing and failing. I’m trying to really grasp the fact that no matter what I do God loves me the same. He loves me just as much in my past when I wasn’t following him as he does now that I am following him. And that’s hard to understand but it’s true. There’s nothing we can do that will make God love us more or less.
I got baptised at home on my own by the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues. It was the most incredible and humbling experience, I cried my eyes out. Having that experience took my faith to the next level. The Holy Spirit gives us the gifts, He came after Jesus left us. ❤
I used to think tongues were crazy gibberish and cringe!! I'm still too shy to do it in public tbh. I was even shy to do it in front of my husband.
Same here. I don’t pray in tongues in front of others, not saying I will never, but for me, right now, it’s a very personal thing between me and God.
I go to a Pentecostal church but never spoke in tongues until one day at early morning prayer I heard the Lord say he would release tongues upon me. It was like a wave of heat hit me. After that I didn't speak in tongues for almost 10 years because I drifted from the Lord, until again I asked the Lord to reignite that gift once again. It is something so beautiful and done in order and control. The Lord has even given me songs in tongues that I was even given the interpretation to as well. Personally myself I pray in tongues in my secret place with the Lord. At times I do pray in tongues at church especially when the Holy Spirit is moving.

@@Ginger_HAwesome experience dear. God is good. What other believers miss about the issue and concept of tongues is that. There's tongues as in a prayer language where you speak or pray with like Romans 8: 26 talks about. Groans that words cannot express. Again, 1 Corinthians 14:2..And we have the speaking in tongues which will require interpretation especially when in a congregation and all of a sudden a person begins ulterances. Paul said such tongues without interpretation is unfruitful to the congregation. So you can pray in tongues which the same spirit enables and gives and also some people who have that specific gift of interpreting tongues. The same spirit enables both. Just that we should be careful and see the fruits that is bore.

George, thank you for sharing your rebaptism experience. I know that you debated about sharing, but i needed to hear that. I have been struggling with the same thing about rebaptism in the spirit & how to go about that. I have been guided by Christ to do something for my baptism and i have been debating about how it doesnt fit the "structure" of traditional baptism, but it is what the Holy Spirit has been calling me to do. The Spirit guided you to share that so individuals like me could be confirmed in our conviction of what we need to do for Christ and the Holy Spirit. I would have had doubt without yours & Belle's testimony. You both brought me to tears, confirming that my spiritual conviction was right. Thank you so much George and Belle. Thank you.❤ Now on another note, George- release the spirit/demons of worry and fear. You are so worried. But Spirit guides you. Your worry and fear gets in the way of what Spirit is guiding you to do. If you are guided to speak or say or express something that is pure in message, those clear enough to hear you will. Forget the rest. Let the Holy Spirit go to those who would write you off as "crazy" or "insane". Your expeirneces with God are not meant to be understood by everyone and that's okay. Those connected to Spirit will understand, and those who are not connected to spirit YET *will* understand once they allow the Holy Spirit in. Not all messages are meant for everyone to hear and understand. That's okay. Many called Christ crazy in his time. Many did not believe his messages, but those that were meant to did. And his messages are still transforming hearts to this day. So are yours. Revoke the spirit of Worry from your being. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your tongue to say the right thing at the right time for the highest good of all in God & Christ. They will hold you.
These theological podcasts of yours are my _favorite._ I LOVE that I get to listen in to a conversation between young people _seeking_ for truth, and wise oldesr Christians giving good answers. All of the questions in this episode were so good, and I related to them so much! I was raised Christian too, but I'm very much like the Knechtle guys (28:46), very intellectual. I was convinced to put my faith in Jesus by studying apologetics for 2 years. I've had emotional experiences with Him, but not on the level that I hear from Shawna and George. And sometimes I feel jealous of that. But I have the most wonderful husband, who encourages me that just because my relationship with God looks different from others, doesn't mean it's illegitimate. And I NEED to hear that, often. Especially since HE'S the emotional one in our relationship, and is VERY into all the charismatic tongues and healing stuff. (He doesn't believe you have to speak in tongues to be saved, but he's into that church culture.) But I'm so intellectual, I'm constantly challenging myself by asking these hard questions, grappling long and hard with them, and testing my faith. That's MY walk with God. It's why I feel so encouraged by faithful men like the Knechtles, because they come at things from the intellectual, theological side, which I can relate to much more.
Also, I cling to Romans 7 SO. MUCH. because of how Paul speaks _exactly what I feel_ when I sin. Hold tight to that chapter, brother.

I discovered Cliffe and Stuart about a year ago and because of their ministry and their courage to spread the message of the gospel to those who challenged them has not only made me understand the reason for my faith but has also strengthened it.
George I understand how you feel about not being worthy of sharing the message of Christ, and perhaps struggling to live a life that’s in line with the way Christ lived. I feel and I am the exact same way and I’m very glad that you were able to bring up that vulnerability and ask that question because many of us are struggling with the same issue.

Belle I was also very touched with your testimony of your encounter with the Holy Spirit. I feel like many times most of us have a battle in our minds which makes us confused, or makes us give in to our guilt, or cause us to doubt, but you were able to overcome the mental aspect of your struggle and let your heart be touched by the spirit. It reminds me of Ezekiel 36:26 where God says that he promises to remove our heart of stone and to give us a heart of flesh. Really loved your testimony so much.

George, I kid you not, I prayed this exact podcast last night! I was doubting if I was actually praying from my heart or if I was just praying what I think Christ wants to hear from me. I was feeling like a counterfeit Christian. My prayer this morning to Jesus was that I am going to hold onto His promises and pursue Him just as fervently as I had been and if I fall short, at least I shot my shot. Your tears on your shirt are more than enough. Your heart bled so much. Your passion for the lost and you fear of the LORD, is what opened your eyes to the KINGDOM OF THE LORD. A cuss word will never separate you from HIM,… No lie or conviction, nor any sin. Just speaking personally, when I speak in tongues, it’s usually, speaking over someone else, and it’s removing the need to find the right words or say the right thing and removing the limitations of my own language, leaning totally on the power of the Holy Spirit moving in and through me to minister to someone. It gets me out of my own head, my own thoughts and gives the Holy Spirit more room to move more freely in and through me in prayer! That has been my personal walk with praying in the spirit! Yeah, I agree. I think that's how satan works. He tries to keep us lost and away from God totally. When that doesn't work, he tries to intercept us on the straight and narrow path, before we are educated properly on how he works and we are to protect ourselves and focus on the Lord. It's at that point that he sets us off to the broad road, walking toward any of the false religions as long as we are not on the true path! God steps in many times while we're walking in darkness, trying to get us back to Him and the truth. Most people reject the truth bc that false religion is focusing on making sure they know how that false religion, Christianity, will lead them to hell! Why do you think that jesus is ALWAYS mentioned in those false lying religions? You know how many of those false religions are mentioned by name in the Bible? None. No need, bc ALL of them are false. Jesus Christ is the truth. Jesus is the only way, truth, and life. And the god of this world knows it, hence the focused attacks. They aren't fighting each other. Why? Bc a house divided against itself CANNOT stand. God is good. He's real, and I love Him so much. I can't wait to see Him and get my hug. Bless you
In regards to tongues, I was not seeking it when it happened. I was working a graveyard shift alone in a selfserv gas station. I was feeling that the heavens were brass and I couldn't pray. All I could say was Open open open open.! And then this other language came out. I was stunned and said, "If that's you Jesus, let's do it again!" BOOM! I spoke in tongues the rest of the night while...cleaning the station...checking the gas levels...la la la la. It's powerful because it's a language directly coming from the Holy Spirit through your spirit. It bypasses the normal process of language which I believe may bypass the brain. Crazy eh?

Most of my time spent as a Christian I've felt like my love for Jesus was just mediocre, indifferent. Watching this video I went through tribulation like I've never felt before and then you opened up about how you felt like Nicodemus and I had to admit I always felt the same.
