WPL C24-1 Toyota Hilux RC Crawler

WPL C24-1 Toyota Hilux 1/16. Rig is upgraded with full metal links, shaft . Running on WPL 02 speed gearbox with 3rd party internal metal gearings from AliExpress. Esc is 1060 hobbywing, 370 motor is original low rpm motor, tried other 370s , but the original is still lowest speed rpm and therefore highest torque.

omg, great job. nice car and a puppy and piano ambience sound. I’ve gone through a lot of trial and error customizing my car like you, and I’ve wasted quite a few parts, so I can imagine how much effort it took you to complete such an awesome concept for your car. I also bought a faster motor but haven’t installed it yet. I even tried installing metal linkages but found it too difficult, so I ended up going back to the original parts. Haha.

You are doing great on yours . Would agree even WPL’s own upgrades are not the best and is not made to be direct drop in. They need a lot of adjustments and re-tuning to your own requirement. WPL are toy platforms, the trial and error that you had now, to make it a little more perfect for you , are valuable technical skill set that you are getting now that you can use it on other Rc car projects down the road. Get the slowest 370 , they are the best for crawling..
