Spectacular, breath-taking model kit! I own one of them!
James Cameron sure started something with his 1997 movie, didn't he? Titanic has grown in public interest ever since!

Want one so bad. Want to do a series of build videos and then add it to Titanic Truths collection where it will go on tour as a compliment to a 20ft model I am currently working on

@@edwardianlinersdead7864 sounds interesting, and BIG. Would you have room for something like that? 1/8 scale would be avout 110.25 ft long, that pretty much a regular boat lol

Great unboxing. Looks like a kit that if taken slowly and carefully will produce a beautiful show piece.

Very informative review of the kit. However I'm surprised that you didn't mention the kit comes with the option of selecting either a 3 or 4 bladed centre propeller. It's becoming more widely accepted that while the OLYMPIC and BRITANNIC both had 4 bladed centre props, the TITANIC's centre prop was 3 bladed according to information discovered at Harland and Wolff within the last 10 or so years

    • @HobbiesAustraliaTV

Hi Guy, Titanic was one of 3 ships in the class. Britannic was configured as a Hospital ship during WWI and was lost to mines. Olympic was used as a troop transport and was the last of the ships in service until being scrapped in 1937? Trumpeter ONLY supply marking for Titanic, Pontos from South Korea have in conjunction with Trumpeter released a upgrade set already. This consists of 200+ pieces of brass, props, winches, masts etc, all the laser cut decks and an extra 9 sheets of photo etch. To do either Olympic or Britannia the changes are fairly straightforward and will mainly involve the paint scheme.

Why are there so many pieces? The metal window frames should have already been in the windows when you pull it out. The room walls should not be in so many pieces. The two staircases should be included in the kit.
