      @@SergeantTank as for me I'm a democrat I have a male pro-democracy taiwan🇹🇼 paradise gourami fish named (BLUETIGER) I will be breeding him with a female fighter plakat bettafish to make a new generation of paradise fighter fish that at a teenage size will be trained in a muhammad ali self-defense boxing style against republican/conservative gop killifish which are not the much of a problem the most aggressive is the republican southern and northern {studfish}

    Hi. My spawning mop made from "RED HEART Super Saver Yarn" 100% Acrylic will not sink after soaking it in water for 2 weeks. What brand and type of Yarn do you use?

    Hi, do you get any issues with mould growing on the coconut fibres when incubating the killifish embryos? Do you treat the coconut fibre in any way to prevent contamination? Thanks in advance :)

    • @SergeantTank
      @SergeantTank  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No issues, just so long it's moist and allow for appropriate air flow. I would recommend cycled aquarium water to soke it. The reason for Coconut Fiber is the neural PH versus soil or other medium; whereas is could acidify the eggs.
      As for pre-treatment, not necessary. Just ensure you obtain a reputable brand. Hope that helps!

    sponge / air filter or power heads which do you prefer?

    • @SergeantTank
      @SergeantTank  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fish Keeping Jamaica sponge filters!

    • @FKJ_WORLD
      @FKJ_WORLD 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      any special reason for the preference of sponge filters?

    • @SergeantTank
      @SergeantTank  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fish Keeping Jamaica simplicity, cost, great for breeding, houses beneficial bacterium not only for balanced nitrofication but great microorganisms for fry and fish.

    • @FKJ_WORLD
      @FKJ_WORLD 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      would you say they are more effective than power heads and over head filtration systems, why i ask is that the mess is still in the tank just that it's at one location.Powerheads might cost more but their energy consumption is not that much. compare to water pumps!

    • @SergeantTank
      @SergeantTank  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's difficult to identify exactly without seeing your system. I have in depth videos discussing some methods for which I use in keeping tanks clean. Actually I discuss in various Live Streams and uploaded videos. Very long answer short:
      Clean: bio-load distribution within that system
      Dead-zones: ensure appropriate flow-throw via airriation; prevent aerobic issues.
      Surface Breakage: Constant disruption of top water line
      40 Gallon and less do to 3' across one at the corner and airration at the other
      40 and up with 4' and longer foot print: Two sponge filers either end.
      If your disrupting the tank too often this will cause issues with free floating unsightly debris
      There's nothing wrong with the aforementioned within your question as for other forms of filtration, it depends on how they're utilized.

    I could use a lot more from Jeremy. Does he have a website, Facebook, TH-cam, Smoke Signals? My first question. He has fly in Tupperware. Do they not need air?

    • @SergeantTank
      @SergeantTank  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Craig Hawks thanks for stopping by. First off, not sure exactly what your question is? Yes, he has a website: amazontropics.com
      As for the embryos in the containers; this has been a method ultized for years- and they are perforated.
      What specifically are you needing?

      This in only a fraction of what he currently has running. These were the smaller aquariums housing more of the killifish species. In the future I'll present more footage displaying all his other marvelous set-ups ;) Thanks so much buddy and glad you enjoyed ;)
