I started saving my ones and change because of this video. It gets addictive seeing the rolls build up! I even have 79 dollars alone in dollar coins from keeping change from soda vending machine.
I agree with this video, EXCEPT... Please tip your servers when you eat at restaurants. They rely on those tips to live. I agree the tipping system is awful and outdated. However, until something is actually done to change what we have, you need to tip when you are provided decent to good service.
after watching this vid i rolled up $50 dollars in change and $15 in cash and threw it in a lock box. im ganna continue to save my short change while also saving money in my bank svngs acc. and retirement acct. Good Video dude. Keep on keepin it REAL!
At the end of every month, check though your change for anything pre 1964, set them aside. Take everyhting else and switch it over .999 silver or gold coins if you have enough. It will save you space and you will have an actual investment. Just a thought, good saving though.

I do this too. I put all my 5 dollar bill's and change into a big water container I buried on the back yard. Never take out of it, only add. I'll be amazed one day when I crack it open and count how much I put in there.

I agree with everything but the safe, a few months back my house got broke into an unfortunately for me they stole the safe about the same size as your's it did not have any money but a few gold pendants :( my suggestion is put your money in the bank its just easier to manage an handle an even if u get a savings account if it don't have that much interest least your money is making money instead of sitting at home doing nothing
To be honest, despite how I kind of that coin device you had bought at Walmart, but honestly it kind of felt like it kind of takes the fun out of counting your money because I saved over $100 just in spare change and I always count them myself and roll them up because it seems more funner than to just dump them in a machine. But that's probably just me though. Your thoughts, bud? ^_^
I save change too as a hobby, I try never to spend it cause I don't like to roll it. Be careful because the people you know will be the ones that try to rob you. Ok now how do I get into precious metals like silver and gold

" warning signs " . . . and " gun signs " all around my property . . . Also an (8) eight surveillance camera system which I monitor from a distance when away from my home . . . I been doing some research and everyone is saying gold is a safe haven and its the real money other than the paper currencies we all use. After reading your comment about exchanging your funds for gold and silver, I been interested in gold myself so its all thanks to you sir. From all the money ive saved up, I wanna start stacking in gold myself. Where did you purchase your gold and silver if you don't mind me asking? I just want to be cautious to where/who I buy gold from because from what I heard, there's a lot of crooks who make fake gold coins and fake gold bars.
alonedesertwolf . . . I would start your " Gold and Silver " crusade by doing business with APMEX . . . I also recommend starting with Silver first as Gold is more expensive per ounce . Also remember to buy bullion gold until you get more knowledgeable

Awesome video man. I'm getting back into starting a change jar as well as keeping 1's and 5's in it too. It's been a while since I've wrapped up change to take to the bank but the past few times I did they wouldn't accept it in the rolls and wanted me to just their coin star machine which automatically counts in but then charges you about 7 cents per dollar for their service. Do you have any trouble cashing in your rolls at the bank?
I cashed in all of that change at a local Kroger store's Coin Star machine . I never tried a local bank . . . You may want to look at saving your loose change as a disciplinary measure of not going into your savings , at least until you are ready to try saving ones and fives . . . Of coarse I bought some gold and silver coins in place of US / coin currency . It saves space in my safe .

i started doing this Jan 1 2016 and i have saved 350 in coins and dollar bills
Starting next weekend I'll be saving my change till next year and see how much money I'll be saving then I'll start with the dollar bills

Great video. I've used this system myself and in 10 months I saved $775 from change and ones and didn't even miss it in my day to day life.
