My son and I were listening to this song together right after it dropped and when the funk part came in we both just looked at each other with our mouths wide open lol. Then my son put his hand on his head and said "Oh. My. God". Your description of their music is spot on: perfect.

The comparison to Polyphia, yes! That's exactly what I told my husband when I heard this. It's the genre-bending aspect of both artists that we didn't even know we needed. As a typically non-emotional person, this song actually gave me chills and watery eyes because it was so unexpected and perfect. There's only a handful of songs that have done that to me in my lifetime.
I had the same reaction. First time listening I had to pause it like 5 different times because I'm laughing and smiling and didn't want to lose focus. I've never had to do that for a song

honestly this will be AOTY for me. like these singles are enough to make it clear that Take Me Back To Eden is going to be so GOOD, it would take A LOT for it to be topped. so sad they didn't do the daily release like we hoped, but I'm holding out hope for two new singles tomorrow and the day after so like, 2 per week, released on the same days 😭 or at least a release date for the album also, I would've been so happy with at least one more minute of that funk-breakdown. I'm HOPING SO HARD for a funk track
We can just shut down the rest of 2023 because this will definitely be AOTY. While we wait, I hope you get a chance to dig into the rest of their tracks. Luckily, we’ve all got their previous catalog to hold us over.

2nd track always seems to have the rule of being heavy. The Offering, Hypnosis, now The Summoning. I'm so stoked for this album
This one's a master piece. Def in my personal opinion the best song they have came out with up to date. WORSHIP
