TZP is the best technical band that currently exists. He's doing what The Faceless no longer does. And I've been looking forward to a new album for years. I'm glad they're with Metal Blade Records.
While this band does feature Planetary Duality era Faceless members, it's not always easy to translate that into a similarly inspired sound. These dudes absolutely kill it on that front, and it feels like an appropriate continuation of that era of The Faceless. Really dig it.
This is genius. From the riffs, the vocal patterns, the melodic part in the middle and bass. McKinney is genius! Demon Carcass at his finest! That second guitar solo blew me away!
One of the most important modern tech-death bands for me. Looking forward to the release of the full album and the east coast dates. Please. Thank you.
I have an amazing feeling this album is gonna get me thru some hard times. This song gives me chills it’s so good. The boys at work just shining above the rest in my opinion. Totally amazing.
That tiny breakdown around 1:15 is sooooooooo good. I can not wait for the EP and for future music by them. I love Derek's voice and I loved The Zenith Passage's previous work. This is how The Faceless should have continued. I hope you guys stay around for years, I'm so tired of loving a band only for them to make 1 or 2 amazing albums then quit.
An amazing concept what a music video can do to your perception of a song... When I first heard this, it was the album version (just with the grey cover), I imagined the scenario as being very robotic and mechanical. After seeing the music video, I have a much more extraterrestrial/cyperpunk futuristic impression of the song...
Its only been 5 years.....so glad to hear new ZenP. I love their use of rhythm and tight timing, and of course sick riffage. Clean vocal part reminded me of some Cynic.

OK, time for everyone to stop saying this is essentially a “new Faceless album.” That’s, of course, a helluva compliment, but you dudes have evolved into your own thing and are killing it. Congrats ❤

Music: McKinney Lyrics: Rydquist
Look into the eyes of a god, what is there to be seen?
A simple reflection of ignorance
An encoded message that doesn’t make sense
Suppression of cognition through a language that can't be interpreted by lesser beings
Willing participants, blissed in their slavery
With empty promises, fervor unwavering
As stagnancy becomes weaponized
Wide aphasia
Vast veiled persuasion
Distracted by subduing sentiment
Conventions evolve within a ruling set
Obfuscated Revelation
Devoid of reason, follow to do what’s been foretold
The framework for all that’s known
Prolonging sufferance through the spreading of knowledge permitted outside of their reach
At the benighted ascendant’s behest
Diction trusted
Tainted influence
Controlled parsing
An obscured reference
Disillusioned
Wide aphasia
Vast veiled persuasion
Distracted by subduing sentiment
Conventions evolve within a ruling set
Disillusioned

They're just continuing the Planetary Duality sound, like they always have. The Faceless moved on from that sound after that particular album.
