The themes on "Manual Manic Procedures" run the gamut of classic gore-metal horror subject matter, beloved to the band and their rapidly growing audience. “I'll feel what kind of vibe the song has, and what topic would fit for that particular song,” vocalist/guitarist Steve Buhl explains. “The last song on the new record, ‘Parricide,’ is about someone going into a nursing home, and just blowing it up. The lyrics are about those type of corporations that don't really give a fuck about those people. It's all just a money grab.”
The lead single is "Manual Manic Procedures’" opening track, “Hands Of Eternity.” Buhl explains that the song is about being trapped in your own mind, something most of us can relate to. “That song is a good example of where we want to go musically. The heavy riffs are there, but there's still a lot of good melody. It's not just crazy fucking blast beats and, ‘riff riff riff.’ It's more structured, groovy, and melodic, but still heavy. That's one of my favorites.”

"Hands of Eternity" lyrics:
Music - Buhl
Lyrics - Buhl / Cook
In your peril, you regress
Putrid insides, rot into your death
Beg and plead, you’re never free
The tons of blood
You free your soul
Chains grip grows tighter and tighter
You feel flesh drip beneath the fire
To survive you victimize
There’s none to blame, you feel your shame
Flames grow in circles wider and wider, they throw me in
Gathered in masses for all to see
Razors edge slicing me eternally
One time you fight the pain, immortal shame, all the same
Brutalize, piercing cries, escaping through the swarm of flies
Pusing seep of agony
Swallows me up to my knees
Slip into obscurity
Gurgle
Char
Dissect
Digest
Embalmed, you’re gone
Feeling the sword, feeding with gore
Under blasphemy of god
Reeking

This lineup is stacked wtf!
They always keep the song interesting. Like old sepultura with 10 riffs and variations per song. These guys do the homework.
I live on the wrong side of the planet darn it thanks for introducing these guys to us oh my goodness they're good
Oh yeah! Got my ticket for Colorado springs.
Dying Fetus
Bro I work overnight as a truck driver... and man I jam it 5 times... Fuck I can't wait for the album
me too 65 times in a row lol slow it down to .75 i promise
With a name like "200 stab wounds" you could only have been very good or very bad, I'm glad y'all chose the first one. Holy shit this is good.
well said. spot on.
Very riffy, I love it!
Listen to the Slave to the Scalpel album. And the video doesn't do justice to how incredible they are live!
What i love about these guys is you can tell they dont play to a click and dont write into a computer with a metronome. All the tempo changes, subtle increases and decreases in speed. It gives so much life to the songs that other modern death metal bands are missing.
you can definitely do that with a computer, tap tempo can be say 120.52bpm, 133.8bpm etc. best thing to do as an engineer is have the band play live in their rehearsal room and bring the lap top and start making tap tempo tracks for each song they perform, tighten up metronome as needed to bring out best performance in band.
Don’t give em too much credit. That’s just how they write their songs. It’s not really not playing to a click they just have slow and fast parts
Cryptopsy was doing wild tempo shifts in the mid 90s man
God that was such an amazing show I am so happy to have made it into the vid and now apart 200 stab wounds legacy 🤘
Where was the show at?
@@Oliver-tp3hlNo Class in Cleveland, Ohio.
Absolutely 👍👍👍👍👍 who doesn't love heavy metal, lived it ever since I was 14 I'm in my 40s now and still live it
Shut up
Finally...metal that doesn't require a masters degree in Good Will Hunting to enjoy.
you dont need to know how to play something to be able to enjoy it lmao
You should check out Internal Suffering then 😂
Wake up babe 200 stab wounds dropped a new banger
being stabbed never felt this good
I listened to it all night during my shift as soon as it dropped.
The video captures going to a heavy ass death metal show in a grimy, sweaty but familar venue so well
Slayer+death metal= This master piece
one of the best modern day death metal bands!
Fuck yeaa!! These guys are amazing Live! Destroy All!!😈🤟🤟
it seems they're definitey going out of their way to expand their song writing beyond the typical hardcore beat down shit, and I'm all here for it.
at what time they were 'typical hardcore beat down'
they've always played the most common and moshable 90s death metal lol
You guys have to stop throwing these terms around lmao
Yesss! It's very interesting, lots of variance and its all great
Was lucky enough to see these guys open for Cattle Decapitation last month. They fucking killed it they were the sole reason I went to the show!
Just found this song. Now you guys have a new fan
Ope, here I am to say the same
You know your metal if you find yourself uncontrollably headbanging to this with no hesitation in any situation. This song is LEGENDARY
200 Stab Wounds proof that you can be a Death Metal band these days, still transporting the true spirit.
I just finished watching a Papa Meat video, he normally wears this band merch in his videos along with other bands, and this band came up on my recommendations. Glad it brought me here.
HOW YA DOIN HOW YA DOIN
@@CauldronoftheCave alright. I'm having a good day. HBU?
I just realized what you did there 😂
Wow something actually good on this label. These guys have actual potential.
Thank you Papa Meat for introducing me to this band.
With this company support they should grow up so quick...brutal fucking good music
Can't wait for the new album!
You completed an absolute masterstroke signing these guys, this simply crushes 🤘🏻🤘🏻
A mother of all intros……..outstanding
200 Stab Wounds is my new favorite band hell yeah! 💀🤘🏼🔥
Same, this is some of the best modern death metal, Unearth is another favorite of mine, Gatecreeper too 🤘
If this single is anything to go by as far as the album as a whole then we should be in for a treat 😃 Such an upgrade from their first record which itself was great!
This new sound certainly kicks ass. Amazing. Memorable album incoming
A Fucking Modern Death Metal Masterpiece! All Hail!
Fuck yeah right on!
My most anticapated album in a long time.
Call of 200 Stab Wounds
The resemblance is uncanny but a welcome one. Fucking badass
First thing I thought too!
Ditto. I’m old lol
Consider me a new fan, this is crushing! 🤘
These guys are keeping death metal alive. Loving it 🩵
this is the most death metal song i've heard in years. a fuckin death metal masterclass.
Innovative and Crushing 200 stab is Life
Another masterpiece! These guys write the best riffs with those weird time signatures. See them live, they don't disappoint!!!!!
Dude...its all 4/4 and 8/4. 😐
@@havocdevelopment6142I meant how they transition.
They played this on the most recent euro tour and I’m so glad I get to hear the studio version today!
200 Stab Wounds tattoo appointment scheduled 🤘
this show was fucking crazy. love y’all can’t wait for the new album
it’s like carcass and slayer collabed, absolutely fire
Except Carcass is better than both bands
I cant wait for this album to come out. Ever since they released the ep, Ive been dying to hear more 200 Stab Wounds & it's finally one its way!! 🙌🏻🔥🔥🔥
Ah! These guys are kids but they sound like an old skool, seasoned vets DM band, they are awesome. Mad respect, love them. I need to seem them live soon, they look like a ton of fun live.
3:17 love the Dismember inspired riff
FINALLY new music
The boys have leveled up. Stoked for the new release.
Awesome band - needs more global recognition.
The work on this so it dosnt sound soptify version, is amazing🤯
Just saw them for thr first time at Metal and Beerfest and i was blown away. This song is so sick.
Death Metal filtered through the lens of Hardcore is a beautiful thing. Wether it's 200 Stab Wounds, Gatecreeper, Frozen Soul, Creeping Death, Sanguisugabogg, Gates to Hell, Undeath, Fuming Mouth, or Vomit Forth, the future of extreme music is a bright one.
It actually sucks.
Keep Death metal, Death metal. Not a blend of hardcore. 🙄
@@yourfavoritenetcitizen6525not for you then. Get lost.
@@yourfavoritenetcitizen6525 say it without crying now-
@@yourfavoritenetcitizen6525 How long did it take you to type out such a cliche and stereotypical boomer argument?
That's a guitar tone I haven't heard in like 20 years.
Congrats guys! This is the best song you've ever wrote. It's getting a lot better. You can tell with this one. It has structure and hooks. It feels like a real song.
Are we about to have a second wave of thrash-revival bands??? Been seeing more thrash/death bands emerging...AGAIN!!
I swear thrash-adjacent stuff becomes a popular subgenre again(within metal) every like....13-15 years?
Only time is gonna tell
Thrash is timeless. The best bands ensure they make timeless tunes and the not so good ones just do "remember the 80s?" Over and over
Looking forward to this show in twenty days...
This band had been just crushing it!
Fuckin eh, finally new music! These dudes have taken the top spot as my new favorite OSDM band. I've seen em almost every time they roll through Chicago.
They aren't old school. And if they sound old school to you what old school band do they sound like?
@@roach5606 They aren't technically OSDM but they have there modern spin on OSDM, similar to what creeping death, tribal gaze, gatecreeper, etc are doing.
To pick one specific OSDM band they sound like is tough, but I definitely get some cannibal corpse and obituary vibes from them just off the top of my head.
Dude that bass going CRAZY
Це просто неперевшенно. Після цього сингла я почав ще більше їх любити. Я думаю що в цих хлопців дуже великк майбутнє
Fantastic! New fan here. They won me over at Decibel Metal & Beer fest last week and I grabbed the most recent album. Preordered this the moment it dropped! Good timing to get into them!
Love it
Reminds me of early Entombed and then it just rips
Holy shit Owen is wearing my bands shirt!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘
This really reminds me of old Carcass. Fucking love it.
call of ktulu intro
Closer to Rid the Disease by Opeth
One of the best songs I have heard in a while. Wow. New fan🤘
Death Metal is fucking thriving again & I love it 🔥🔥🔥🔥
59 & this is one of the ILLEST BANGERS I've heard in almost all my time! FRICKIN RIPS!!!
🤘❤️🤘❤️🤘❤️🤘❤️🤘
This is actually very groove metal, mixed with death and other stuff. But the groove elements, tricky triplets and then laying into blasts to ramp up the energy is pretty cool
Brutiful!
God damn, I can not get over how nasty that scream is just after 1:40
I hope they play this when I see them on Saturday 🤘🤘
saw em 4/26, gave Steve a joint, awesome \m/
Devil, this is extra quality.
saw this live 2 days ago, crazy in Toronto!
Just discovered and instantly love this band. It was exactly the cut of death metal I was hungry for...interesting riff and song structures, death-throated but comprehensible lyrics on vocals, the bass really incorporated and allowed its own place, and the riffs/structure...It's in the footsteps of Malevolent Creation but better, more novelty...same spirit but better songcraft and musicianship I think (it's not a competition, but by way of popular comparison). Great act.
Might be the head banger of the year !!!
Reminds me of old live videos of Death metal from the 90s....Nice
got this on repeat
Best show ive been too, 💯💯 stab wounds stays on top
Just got into this band not too long along with creeping death love both you guys keep the metal coming🤘🤘🤘🤘
So stoked for the new album, FUCK YEAH!!
Just saw them for the first time opening for Dying Fetus.
Of all of the openers, I must say, 200 stole the goddamn show and I can easily see them co headlining with the likes of Fetus in the future. It was THAT fucking excellent
I hear Slayer vibes !! 🔥🔥
These guys kick massive ass Live!! Incredible band!!😈😈🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Holy shit!! This is killer! First time hearing these guys. Love it!
Pure old school death metal!!
That was quite the trip! Groovy AF!
Love this more melodic approach🔥
This shit rips been waiting to hear this ever since yall played this at New Brookland Tavern in Columbia SC last September
Epic brutal metal bro, when the galloping riff hits at 3:35 🫢🤘🏼. One of the best death metal bands these days.
This and a new Bodysnatcher song on the same day. 71 south will be in danger today on my drive home. 🤘🏼
This is simply too good for the masses.
Do come back to H-Town soon fellas, pleasure seeing this fresh band shred the first couple times in. The fans and new listeners aren’t ready for this new shit and I’ve been tweaking for it since the ‘Morbidity drop. LIKE A FIEND.
This is awesome.
Wish you guys would release the vinyl print run numbers for your US store
Same, I just got the liquefied version since it was the best looking US version.
@killaphila666 I bought the pink version because it was different and I have a lot of splatter records already
God Tier Band
This is amazing
So many tasty riffs and blast beats. 🤘🏻
Love this band so much. So catchy and groove-drenched. Death metal you can dance to!
First time hearing this band and I'm diggin it 🤘🏻🤘🏻
That skullet is the most brutal thing about this
Awesome intro and brutal pay off. Nice work boys!
Beginning reminds me of slayer and overkill at Same time. Perfect
Let's goo! First time seeing them and I got to make the cut for a music video and i made it on the Thumnbnail!!!. Thanks for the memories that'll last a lifetime.
200 fuckin stab wounds
