I just finished Rebirth, and honestly I’ve adored every second of this Remake trilogy. Im someone who has played the OG but my memory of the tiny details isn’t all there, however still I was never confused with everything happening. One thing I love about this game is that things aren’t completely laid out and explained, thus allowing me to come to my own conclusions. I love what they are doing and I think they’ve really hit the mark to have something special. It captures the feel of the original perfectly and updates a lot of things to fit the fundamentally new game design
Yeah absolutely! I totally agree with you. I feel like it keeps the skeleton of the original intact and keeps in-line with the same core themes of the original, whilst reconstructing the experience and the journey into something new. Yes to everything you said, and thanks for watching!
@@tarrmusreviews I honestly cant wait to see how things will play out further. We definitely haven't seen the last of Zack, I wonder if Cloud's mind will also start playing further tricks on him with Aerith's death because there's something about how chipper he was at the end of the game that's been putting me off. We know that Cloud has a history of not handling death well (see how he basically refused to acknowledge Zack's death in his mako poisoned state) and we know that Aerith both did and didn't die. We are following the same crew since the beginning and they did see Aerith die, but Cloud went through a different experience with that final battle with Aerith and Sephiroth. I am fully convinced that the final boss fight with Sephiroth of the whole trilogy will be a showdown of Sephiroth vs Cloud, Zack, and Aerith (which btw, the team up with Zack had me so excited and hyped) sending them off. I see the Remake trilogy being a happier ending than the original, which I am a-okay with. I like that this series feels like fan fiction in the best ways possible.
Agree, they are on the right track. It maybe rocky and controversial, but I believe they are finally on the right track. I no longer see ff7 through the lense of nostalgia but as a new experience.
Yeah absolutely! I feel like looking at it through from the perspective of a new experience, allows them to pull from and still mostly provide the nostalgic moments, but also shock you with what you think you know. I'm glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Re trilogy is a dream come true. It really is. Rebirth just blew my mind away, just like the OG when i was a teen. I find that it complimenting well the OG. And Rebirth made me care so much more for the characters. Learning the lore of the world was even a higher experience...truly is the best FF I have ever experience. ( I played 6 , 7 , 8, 9 , 10 , 13 ,15)
I'm glad to hear you had such a great time with Rebirth, yeah I absolutely agree, I feel like I still have a particular fondness for the original but Rebirth foes an incredible job with further fleshing out the world and character relationships. It's not like these things were something missing from the original, but they're nice to see included in the remakes, and I love how Rebirth does its own thing, but preserves a lot of the ff7 experience where it matters, as contentious as that may be to say. I think if part 3 delivers we'll look back on this trilogy fondly as a special experience. Thanks for commenting 😊
I agree with your comment that in theory you can play Rebirth standalone but that you will miss out on a lot of the contexts and underlying motivations. IMO the game is truly at its best for those who has played Remake and will go through a pretty comprehensive play through of Rebirth. But I think that all up is quite an emotional and time-based demand. This probably explains some of the seemingly lacklustre sales of Rebirth.
It was wonderful. Like possibly one of the best RPGs Ive played in a long time. You may not have enjoyed it but im definitely not delusional. The fact that the first area had 8-10 songs as I was exploring was magical. I felt like the chadley stiff qas fun. The graphics are far better than I ever imagined was possible, and what thye did with the tiny brokco was jaw dropping. For those eho understand the FF7 the new stuff is incredibly thematic, and toes together the compilation beautifully.
I know, Rebirth is just that good. It's wild. Like the amount of content, mini-games, the Queens Blood game and other content really does just speak to how far they've come since. You're totally right, it's a crime. The leap needs to be more emphasized, especially considering everything after 10 doesn't even come close to the bar Rebirth set
@decoyaardvark2828 at least FFX has a coherent story, good humor, villians who's motivation makes sense, and fun combat, unlike the FF7 multiverse of madness amateur storytelling with a hundred hours of padding lmao 🤣

Oh wow! You make great content! Subbed up, and ready to check out more of your awesome content.
Thanks heaps! I'm glad you enjoyed the video 🙂

I wish I even liked rebirth a little, but I hated it. The story was awful 😖
Damn sorry to hear that man, one alternative that might be worth checking out is Metaphor ReFantazio. Its first 5 hours are free through the demo.
Absolute slop
FF keeps selling less and less. This game flopped. It wasn’t good and the fandom needs to stop living in delulu land.

Putting this game in the same breath as FFX should be a criminal offense.

You're... unironically right. X was the last mainline masterpiece f@@tarrmusreviews
it is a crime to compare it to the hallway simulator with boring cloister trials, blitz ball, and boring side quests.

Han Solo dies in this game
Greedo shot first timeline confirmed
I heard goofy dies at the end, and cloud fuses with Mikey mouse 🐁 🪤
