LOL I was going to write a similar comment about how Jumbo has changed, he just expects that you have lots of money to spend now. SL Skull Clamp that he promotes is the 30USD+ SL Carpet of Flowers 40USD+ compared to the regular versions being under 10USD. What happened to the value and deals? Why not tell us about SL cards that are CHEAP great additions? ;p
I was hoping you would at least open with the caveat “What Secret Lair cards belong in your commander collection? None!” And then you say “but it could be fun to own these favorites of mine.” The secret lair cards are fun and cool, but there is no need to sell the message that they are needed or mainstays of a collection. They are luxury items. This video has the same vibe as any videos with the titles “Which yachts should you have?”, “Best vacation homes to add to your collection?”, and “My favorite ways to spend a million dollars in 24 hours.” I know you like mtg bling DJ, but I personally don’t think “need” was the wrong word choice for this video. “My favorite” or “these secret lair cards are awesome” would have been a lot more easier to swallow. Viewers are going to accuse you of shilling luxury products during a time where Hasbro has been painted as greedy bastards, and you won’t have much to protect yourself with. I like you, and I like your content, but this video is really disappointing. I know The Prof has been doing this a lot longer than you, but everyone can trust him. He cares about the mtg consumer, and not the mtg company. And I think the analytics between youtube channels speaks for themselves. Talarion Community College just passed 900k subscribers, nearly 50% more than The Command Zone. Ultimately, the consumers are tired of paying so much to Hasbro and their corporate greed. I know you can do better than be a part of that machine.
Most mtg channels are putting out things on how to get staples at a reasonable price with all the reprints and you're suggesting people buy the most expensive versions of cards. No thanks
SL is the single worst decision wotc ever made. I refuse to buy any and I wish people like you had as well. Our game would be in a much better state if it were unilaterally rejected like M 30
@@blaze556922Hasbro has been turning the screws on Wizard’s for a while now. Without perpetually trying to invent new revenue streams out of thin air our game might not exist at all. While I do agree this practice of printing singles directly into the secondary market is damaging to the brand, if the choice was the state of things as they are or nothing at all, which would you prefer?
I don't recommend playing cards that are contingent on what your opponents are doing. Carpet of flowers is only a CeDH viable card imo and not even fun at casual tables. It either does nithing, or too much.
"This video is sponsored by Wizards of the Coast" I never would have guessed. It's 8:45 of shilling overpriced bling.

I have a few secret lair cards, but I put more value into having the original retro art as much as possible
More like Jumbo Shillmander
When are we going to see your collection of commander decks again?😀
None: The supply is intentionally limited.
That’s the argument I have for Insight. What commander pod doesn’t have a green player

Pump pump pump
pump, Pump, PUMP IT UP!
Agree that some secret lair card arts are out of this world
the book island is originally from jumpstart
Most of these sets I’m assuming you can’t buy any longer from Wizards?
Did not mention Mystic Remora of all cards
Sadge
No thanks WotC
And... I already own these... not the book land, but everything else.
No more please... I spent about $10k+ in a month just to catch up after 2 to 3 years of getting out of MTG... :(
WHAT WHY WOULD YOU SPEND THAT MUCH
YOU CAN PROXY 👀 👀
Talk to a psychologist
@juts89 I just watch more Rudy videos. Helped me out
Do you buy the boxes or singles mostly?

An easy claim to make, an impossible claim to prove.
@@JasonOshinko You don't have to prove the obvious.
