Holy floppin' tacos! My first (Come to think of it, was my second) box opening from FaB was Monarch. I'd bought a random WTRU one and then bought the Rudy Monarch kit. Opened 2. Bought 2. I opened a Lumiaris, a carrion husk, and a extended art lumina ascension. Like every box I'd opened has been a home run. Then I opened a ToA and it had something awesome, and the Everfest one had..the frost shield I forget what it's called. Such a different feeling than MTG where most of the time most boxes aren't worth much and you really shouldn't. Rudy should make a playlist of "All the most amazing box openings across each game and set" Like the bet ToA, best MH2, best...whatever pokemon ones are.
Well, value with FaB follows similar rules as MTG. You were just lucky. Somewhere in the world people opened several shitty boxes, to make up for the good ones you had. Not shaming. Merely stating facts.

Serious question, it’s possible for Rudy to gage some boxes strength, meaning if he has boxes of them he starts opening them on camera for patroons, let’s say the first 3 are dumpster fires he can then put that last box aside and label as “potential” then when he accumulates 4 of those maybe he opens two of them and they’re ok he knows the last two could be great, in other words he can systematically keep track of openings and put aside boxes that have “potential” then he opens two of them in a video and Boom! I am not sure how mtg doesn't freak out over the same name of cards in fab, sorry from the magic community and I love the art of fab but holy shit... there not that creative or is it just me?
Many cards from many tcgs share card names. Even pokemon and yugioh share some overlap with mtg names. Some fab cards are actually shoutouts to old school magic, though, like forked lightning and firebreathing. Magic was a big part of james whites' life, even some of the developers were pro players. All to say it's most certainly not plagarism or laziness, but flattery.
